The crater is arguably the best side area in the entire game and I hope you take your time to really explore it. There's lots of fun side quests, and a LOT of resources and upgrades available here. Bear in mind though, certain places/events in this region are only accessible at different times of the day so be sure to switch day and night when you explore.
This was my absolute FAVORITE map of the game to explore! Its so much you can do here, and you guys haven't even found half of it! It opens up a whole other half of Vanaheim, and to think it was all optional is WILD. You can easily miss all of it too if you're the type of player that doesn't do any exploring or side quests. As a recommendation, choose one path or section of the map to explore first so you don't get lost easily. Its easier to complete quests here when you're not bouncing back and forth from one part of the map to another. Can't wait for you guys to explore more! Answer, you were supposed to throw all the crystal shards you found into that pond. You missed it. Make sure you take your time when exploring. It was also another giant crystal you missed. You might wanna go back there when you get a chance. Quinn, you don't need to actually travel through the travel gates to get full health and rage. You only need to open it and then back right back out. It is somewhat cheating tho. 😂 I'm ok with you using it before big battles tho like the Berserkers. Oak, you gotta learn the sigil arrows better. I think what you're still struggling with is how the sigil arrows work. Sometimes you shoot too many arrows and sometimes you don't actually check to see if the bubbles are touching when you shoot the sigil arrows. In order for them to all explode in a chain reaction, the bubbles have to be touching. The reason some of them weren't exploding was because they weren't actually touching. You need to change your perspective at times to see the best possible outcomes. Certain ones were farther away then you thought because you didn't take into account the depth of field. And the reason I say you shoot too many arrows is because you only get 3 sets of the sigil arrows. You can make each bubble grow bigger but you can't do more than 3. If you do more, it gets rid of one of your previous arrows which messes up the chain reaction. There were a few times where you were just shooting too many arrows in different spots for whatever reason causing that to happen. That rune shoulda been a lot easier to get than what you made it. All puzzles require attention to detail and patience. Most are a lot simpler than you think, but you have to pay attention more to your surroundings. You coulda spaced them out a lot more too if you made each bubble bigger. It only needs to touch part of the blast radius/bubble.
Y'all completely missed a giant crystal next to the Wishing Well and that that's where you purify the Crystalline Shards. GET THESE GUYS OFF THE STICKS
58:35 there is more to do down by the water. There were more chunks of crystal and you can interact with the water if you find the right spot. There is a reason it's called the wishing well.

Okay so to get full health and rage from the mystic gateways, you dont actually have to go through the door. You just have go interact with it so the door comes up and then if you hit back, it refreshes both your health and rage. No need to actually realm travel. It's a very quick and handy fix so I'd suggest getting a health/rage touch up whenever you come across a mystic gate
1:21:55 Right spot wrong sigil execution. Guys the middle of the sigils spin faster with every successful chain. When you place 1 sigil the centre spins very slow. When you link a second sigil the centre of both will spin faster. When you link the 3rd sigil all 3 will spin very fast. That's how you know you have placed them correctly also you can triple the size of all 3 sigils.
The Crater is the most comprehensive "extra" area in the game. It's essentially included dlc. Well worth the multiple episodes it would take to complete everything.
Reminder: The optimal way to take down the elemental protection some enemies have is a little asymmetrical. For fire (red) and ice (blue), use the opposite (i.e. if it's a blue protection, use the blades, if it's a red protection, use the axe). For the spear there is no opposite, so there's only one option. I.e. when the protection is gray, use the spear.
Welcome to the other part of Vanaheim, the part which is chock full of side quests that you will probably be sick of it by the end XD Also Birgir's alive! Kinda undermines his sacrifice but Freyr knows his men it seems - got dragons to hunt though, and some of his Odin-supporting brethren, and spirits split in two, and deer, and that's the tip of the frozen lightning iceberg Ah and now we get to the four Harts! A beautiful lake to start with, but the stags are a part of Norse myth too - in fact they're sometimes classed as Dwarves; Dáinn, Dvalinn, Duneyrr, and Durathrór. The stags feed on the foliage and branches of Yggdrasil, the dew flows from their antlers to the rivers of the world, they either represent the winds, the elements, the phases of the moon or, as the game has chosen, the four seasons. Fólkvangr is an afterlife place, effectively Frigg/Freya's version of Valhalla. See, while the Valkyries do take those who died in combat to Valhalla, only half of those collected go there - the other half goes to Fólkvangr. It's unclear if they prepare for glorious combat the same way as Valhalla does, but there is a hall called Sessrúmnir. So, if she's not in Fólkvangr she's either in Valhalla - under Odin's jurisdiction - or Hel.

All you need to do is activate the Mystic Gateway to refill your health to full. You do NOT need to actually enter the Mystic Gateway, just activate it without walking through it and it will replenish your health to full. Maybe now I will stop screaming at my tv like a mad man.
Oaks Brain is getting as thick as his muscles your only allowed 3 arrows unless you use them to make each other bigger but when u shoot different spot u can only do 3 times 4 shoot will get rid of first siegle arrow

While the end goal of the area was time wasting and stupid rescue mission but it gave us one of the best areas of the game. I was so fucking surprised when it really opened up and spent almost the whole time to complete everything before leaving.
You don't need to go through the gateway to recover health/rage. Should just need to "activate" it like you're going to use it but then back out and you should be good. If I remember correctly.
Guys, you are not following the mission from the map and that is why you are missing a lot of things in the story. Any side mission will appear on the map. Enter the map and choose the mission from there. And don't just runing, (walk)

I think I commented in the most recent video on your guys main channel to watch a Death Battle vid that has Kratos in it. Don't watch it until you've beaten the Valhalla DLC!!! I pulled a dumb and forgot they spoil the end of this game while introducing the combatants. I still think yall should watch it, just after yall have beaten the DLC.
I think you're trolling us on not knowing which chsts have the heath and rage upgrades. It's the Norn chests with the three glowing runes on them and you have to ring bells, light braziers or break rune marked seals..

you guys are focusing too much on the stats and not enough on the armor ablility. Most of the things you upgrade have abilities that are not good with your game play style
My gawd they don't be reading. The amulet of ‼️Regenerating Essence‼️ literally constantly heals you and they skip over using it. I paired it worth a stronger version and you're basically wolverine in and out of battle. C'mon fellas 🤦🏿🤦🏿🤦🏿

I don’t think you guys equipped heimdalls realm shift for the O runic, you really want to consider doing so. It literally lets you freeze time.

The crater is the first open world region in god of war. Take your time exploring it as it has hours of content.
I spent way too long exploring and unlocking every section of The Crater.
Would be nice to get back on the main story for the episode; balance and all.

Runic chests have horns or apples
Gold chests have runic attacks
And red chest have materials
gold chests can also have weapon attachments
