I went on 21st Aug 2024 what an incredible spectacular event & it was raining with winds but oh my goodness just so amazing & enjoyed too. Here’s to next year 75th anniversary celebration 🥳 I’ll be there ❤🙏🏼
Saw it on the opening night, what an amazing show. It started raining just before the lone piper, a very fitting end to a Scottish tradition. Well done.
Was that the Adamton? A two-hour journey away near Prestwick, on the other bloody side of the country? Yes, I experienced the delights of this establishment too - never, EVER again! I was SO thankful it stayed dry for the Tattoo; if it had rained it would have been sheer misery. But it was a magnificent performance, and I'm really glad to have got there at last.
@@HarvestHome2000 No. It was in Edinburgh itself. We booked the whole package though Caledonian travel. Although the tattoo was an awesome experience, the hotel wasn't the cleanest. We entered the hotel through the emergency entrance at the back of the building, the rooms looked shabby and cheap considering the price we paid. It was too hot and noisy to sleep. The window had a restictor on it so you could only open it about 3inches or so. There are buildings opposite with air extractor fans constantly humming so I managed about 2 hours sleep. The evening meal buffet was very limited and basic on child sized dinner plates but the breakfast was even worse. I walked into the dining area and straight back out so didn't have breakfast. The scene reminded me of a Burt Reynolds prison dining hall movie. It took me, my friend and his wife 2 days to recover. Never ever again. Hence the edit. The whole package cost me £237 for a one night stay but I paid £20 extra for a room to myself and the view I got from section 16 row u seat 22 was incredible so no complaints there, and it stayed dry but was chilly.

I went to see this August 15th. The show itself was incredible the Britannia hotel on the other hand was terrible.

The Britannia is a bus tour dump,it was once a very stylish hotel but super -grim now

Yeah, pretty sure its called REMT or The Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo. I think its a song played specifically for these events.

Where are all the dancers KILTS nice but not fitting in with Scottish theme
I thought that also it’s the same every year, thought they would all be in kilts and some doing the sword dance.
Glad I never went this year too many dancers taking up too much time sorry but it’s a no ftrom me
