    thank you again for the great video, I'm learning step by step with you because I have a VERY similar gear setup and I'm going to shoot my first two weddings in July :) I'm a bit nervous but I trust my knowledge that I gained so far and I try to practice as much as I can. I'm going to purchase 2x Tascam DR-10L for the groom and the ceremony leader, however I believe wiring up the bride is a bit of a pain so I'm going for the Sony TX650 for that

      Hey Bence. Cheers for your kind words! Try not to be nervous about it...I'm sure you'll be fine. If anything doesn't go to plan, just keep calm and try not to let it effect the rest of your day. If you are providing full edits of the ceremony and speeches, just make sure you have at least one camera running constantly. Your plan for audio sounds great. Personally, I don't usualy mic the bride for the ceremony as she is normally stood right next to the groom (unless it's two brides). From my experience, his mic is normally fine for both of them. I'd pop your TX650 on his jacket as a back-up instead. If she's doing a speech, then definitely mic her! If you end up using Amazon to buy anything, please you my links as I'll get a small commission ;). Have fun and let me know how it goes! Best wishes, Ben

      Hey Bence, check out Matt Johnson's video on miking the bride: th-cam.com/video/4AeNAnvvyVA/w-d-xo.html I use a white DR-10L with a thigh strap for the bride, a black DR-10L for the minister, and I just bought one of these TX650s for the groom. I have an additional lav mic if needed, but I'm thinking the built in mic on the Sony recorder will work just fine. I'm also looking forward to using the TX650 for miking speeches.

    what about mic sensitivity and all the other settings in the Recording Settings menu?

    Great video yet again! Do you use the Tascam Dr10l's most of the time? Or do you find yourself just using the TX650s?

      Hey Joe. I normally use both where possible as it's always best to have a backup (or two!). However, if ever something happens in a hurry, the TX650 wins because you can clip it on dead quickly!

    Sorry for disturbing you.
    Is it good enough for capturing the College lectures in a noisy space?
    Can you tell me please,the status of durability and longevity of this voice recorder and recording time?

    Hi. How can I pause to recording and going on later? I will be wanting to your answer. Thanks for your interests...

    Thanks but how do you then sync the 44.1 Khz to video recorded at 48 Khz? What a nightmare it's been for me in the past. I can see it working for a short speech, but anything over 30 minutes is a nightmare.

    Can you pause the recording and rewind it to a point and record over it? I really need to know, and thank you anyway

      Thanks Love First. No, I have the sensitivity set to Medium.

      Setting this to low is a pretty common recommendation, with people regularly complaining about clipping when it's set otherwise.

    What about Mic Sensitivity? I used this last wedding and it was clipping.

    What is the voice quality outside in a windy weather ? Is there any windshield ?

    • @CameraGeeks
      @CameraGeeks  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hey Damian. There is no windshield. I'm afraid I've no experience of using it on a windy day. I've used it on a couple of outdoor ceremonies on a calm day and it was fine but I imagine you'd get some disruption when it's windy.

    hi, how do i use the audio files with a mac?

    • @CameraGeeks
      @CameraGeeks  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey James. You should be able to just drag and drop them into your project folder and then sync them up with your video footage.

    Have you experienced any audio drift when synced with long camera files due to 44.1kHz? I wish it had a 48kHz option for WAV files.

    • @Jake12399
      @Jake12399 ปีที่แล้ว

      I had this same question. 44.1K is a nightmare. Please Sony make it sample at 48 khz

      @@Jake12399 Update: no issues so far. But 48 kHz would definitely be ideal.

      Hey Sunil. I'm not aware of any way of pausing the recording. I just stop it and start a new one.
