    It reminds me of a baby bottle warmer. My only concern is that when you have the cover on when heating the cups up, would it cause condensation and risk water dripping into the resin. It's definitely a good idea, though, if you're in a rush to use your resin. ❤

    • @miniscenesgb
      @miniscenesgb  หลายเดือนก่อน +6

      Yes I guess it does, I guess that's what those warmers look like. The shape of the lid makes the condensation run own the sides only so that's OK. and most people would have normal sized resin bottles to put in it rather than cups anyway I think

      I do believe, that like the resin curing machine is a food dehydrator, and the curing mats are reptile tank heaters, the preheater is in fact a bottle warmer, lol. Repurpose, reuse, recycle, right ;)

    • @miniscenesgb
      @miniscenesgb  29 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      @@naudiaangelica6925 the preheater goes to much higher temperatures than a bottle warmer. The latest incarnation of the curer is completely different, nothing like a food dehydrator. So whilst this is probably where the original designs come from, these things have been developed on specifically for resin :) The mats, yes they are reptile mats still as far as I know. I'm not keen as you can't control the heat as much and it's all from uncerneath whereas the new curing machine is huge an round

    I float my bottles in the sink of hot water and shake every few minutes until it is warm enough especially during winter. It definitely helps with reducing bubbles in the resin

    • @miniscenesgb
      @miniscenesgb  หลายเดือนก่อน

      Yes I bet it does. I've always not done that as it's not so easy to control the exact temperature which is why I liked this little thingy :)

  • @snoopygirl40

    I do warm my resin which does reduce bubbles. I use a heat mat which I put part A and B bottles on. I also warm my uv as well. I have mobility issue I find having large amount of water around a pain. I have been using coffee warm pads which are temperature adjustable which I am using and like. I don't think I would buy this although it look good. Warming you resin is a must for how I work but everyone is different in the work so it's horses for courses. 16.1k as I watch. • @WendigovanStudio

    I've been looking at this on their website for the last week and wondered if it would be useful to me. I'm glad you shared it with us. Now, I think I can live without it for the time being, as I use my heat mat to warm my resin on chillier days. However, I'm not writing it off completely. I'm just a little worried I'll knock it and end up with water everywhere lol. But until I can organise my studio properly I think I can cope with my heat mat lol. xx
    PS, I only warm my resin when it's cold and thickens up, due to being kept in my studio, which is a shed with no heating on unless I'm in there working. I have warmed it up on occasion to get a lower viscosity when using a mould that has a lot of details. xx

    • @miniscenesgb

      I get that Mizz. when it's 19c or over I won't be needing this either. but over winter on cold mornings, it's going to be very handy. I love that the temperature is so controllable. I've been running it today at 106f/40c an that seems great. I think I'll settle at 104f/40c though as that seems to be best results so far

This is a very good idea, but I think I'll keep to my reptile infrared heating mat. Why is it in Italian? At least I think it's Italian. Good idea to heat resin before mixing, less bubbles. :)

      Italian? It's not lol. Let's Resin are in Hong Kong and usually make things for release in the USA first as it's the biggest market, hence the US plug on mine

      @@miniscenesgb I had to restart it to get you. It was definitely not Chinese though, that I would have understood. Must have been a weird glitch.

    How does the condensation not drip into the resin?

      I wouldn’t use the lid, I had the same concern….

      @ yes but it sure would be nice when doing multiple pours to not have to keep heating water

    • @miniscenesgb

      No the condensation runs only own the sides as the top designed that way. I think most people would warm bottles in there anyway but mine of course are massive lol.

      @ I would be so scared but I can always use it without the lid. I would be afraid that when I lifted the lid I would knock the water off somehow since I am prone to accidents 😂😂😂

      there is no glass :) it's working perfectly as the craft room has low humidity, which is when it is curing. no moisture is getting into the resin at all, items are curing perfectly. When my room is 19 plus I won't be needing this either, you're right there, but when it's cold, it's great. I've been using it a lot for 3 days now and I'm loving it

    Can’t say I would get one as it’s a glorified baby bottle warmer. If I wanted one I would get a baby bottle warmer it’s way cheaper. I think it is overpriced for what it is tbh

    • @miniscenesgb

      over here it's about the same price as a baby bottle warmer. But it also goes way up above the standard 98f temp of a baby bottle warmer and takes the standard sized resin bottles, so it's rather different. I'm finding it spot on.

    Any time I've needed to warm my resin I've stood it in a bowl of warm water. Sorry but I wouldn't be wasting my money on this.
