Hi Ms Tracey i live love love your work so much, I’ve been following you all year and you inspire me so much. I was in awe watching your brushwork with the inks. The final results are fabulous. Have a peaceful pleasant Christmas xxxx
I absolutely love these. If you flip the one with the starfish over and look at the deep blue area in the top center it almost looks like a swordfish. Absolutely beautiful!!! Also I am new to resin and have only done a few pours, but I have more on the way. I do believe that I am addicted to it already. Its just amazing what you can do.
@miniscenesgb I am loving it so far. I am waiting for my resin to get here so I can do more. I bought small bottles to start with so I could see if I would like it and be able to creat beautiful things. I wish I could send you a picture of a couple of my creations.
Thank you Tracey, your trays are beautiful, thank you for all the fantastic ideas you share. Happy 1st December, have a great day and a wonderful week x❤
Hiya Tracey, love both trays and the Geode 1 is best as the colours suit my taste more. Unfortunately, starfish are dead creatures, but I can't say if they are found that way and die naturally. Also, the small shells used for crafting are from what's left after the creature has passed too, but I believe a lot of them are from natural causes. I do know that when they breed, they produce millions of eggs to make sure there are some that will survive to maturity. Sad but it is the way it is. xx
Lovely techniques for both of them. I've seen crafters dye translucent polymer clay with alcohol inks by dropping it on quite liberally and then blow it around with a straw. It might als work on resin.
Never seen this idea before, it's fantastic, have more creative licence to get all sorts, love it ♡♡♡♡♡ Thanks so much for sharing this technique, I absolutely love marbling ♡♡♡
The one that you did with the alcohol ink looks like a pond and the other one looks like a wonderfully moody winters day. They are soo beautiful. You are so talented, and one of the only resin artists that I watch regularly. Thank you for all of your content and your help in teaching me how to do more with resin and eco pour. You are so amazing.
Both of these turned out amazing!!. At first i was skeptical of the alcohol inks... but just WOW!! After you added the gold foil, i saw like a mountain scene and then you brought out the sparkle paste... i was talking to my screen saying "put some on the mountain tops"..lmao I love both techniques and thank you for giving us new ways of doing marbling
I love both of those!!! You make the alcohol ink look easy, I struggle with that, more than the resin marbling… I end up with a muddy mess…. I hadn’t learned when to stop.. lol Have you used the Let’s Resin Chrome markers? I got them approximately a month ago, I can’t stop using them on everything… the silver, actually looks like metal!! Love them!!
I was screaming at the screen your mould had something on it lol. Your alcohol ink tray looked more like watercolour to me rather than marbling but it was beautiful and reminiscent of Monets Lily ponds. I think that technique needs further exploration as it was just lovely. Never seen anyone do that before. Decided I need to add you to my drinking game along with Claire’s obsessed. Have a drink whenever you say geode and Claire’s obsessed and I will be totally legless 😂😂
Love the colors and different ideas on marbling, I’ve not been very good at marbling , my colors just seem to blend into one color..😣 ALSO, a huge thank you, your product list and discount codes are so complete and full of great information, I really appreciate the work you put into making g that list!❤
I'd be curious to see what would happen if you wiped off the alcohol ink after it has stained. Might be kind of an understated kind of marble?? Curious!! Might have to try that now. Beautiful marbling!! 😊
We were talking a while back about me sending you some molds that I was making out of borax crystals. I had a complete brain fart and grew borax crystals on some silicone molds. Holy hell, that makes it a major pain. So I threw some things at the wall, and have had it sitting in the naughty corner, lol.
You always do such a beautiful job of marbling. I was hoping you'd do the marbling with the inks. How hard did you think that was Tracey? I think it's gorgeous but I haven't tried doing it yet myself. I wish Create and Bloom would sell on American Amazon.
Thanks :) Create and Bloom don't sell on Amazon anywhere but they o ship worldwide. It's a small business worth supporting :) Honestly the inks thing was crazy easy and you can just mess about till you get what you want. rather fun to do
Could you please tell me exactly what the micro brushes are that you’re talking about in this video? I looked them up on Amazon and there’s a lot of different kinds. Are they the ones with a cotton swab at the Kip or the actual brushes? Thank you in advance.
Hiya, they are popular tools with resin crafters. Here's the link amzn.to/3ZKM2G8. You will also find them in the craft essentials list on my Amazon storefront
Snail shells: The snail gets eaten by birds or what have you leaving the shell behind. Also when the snail passes for whatever reason, the fleshy bit rots away, shell doesn't. Starfish: Likely dried up remains sadly but could well be natural, if unfortunate result of a dried up tide pool then found later
I have since researched as it said on screen. they shed their shells as they grow so these are just she shells thankfully. Yes they can loose limbs to survive but usually they grow back - which is of course fascinating to the medical world.
Sorry Tracey, starfish don't have an exoskeleton that they can shed. What you buy is the dead baby animal, along with the shells they harvest from the sea with living creatures inside that are killed so they can sell the shells. Sadly there is a huge demand for these due to crafters not understanding that these were living creatures with a right to live in their own environment. It makes me so mad. I stopped buying anything from the sea a long time ago due to the horrors of the colleciton of these beautiful creatures for money, at the expense of the poor (often baby) creatures. Its the same with seahorses, as if anyone could harvest and kill them for money. We live in an ignorant and cruel world.
Please can you slow down your talking? I miss a lot of what you’re saying, I’m struggling to catch words, like they run into each other . I do wear hearing aids in both ears, most often of the time I can hear ok, sorry.
Some complained my videos were too slow and too long when I slowed down. But Did you know you can slow the replay down on any video? Click the little cog to the bottom right of the video, and you can speed any video up or slow it down as much as you want :) I hope that helps across all of TH-cam for you as I o understand the hearing issue ad my mum is almost completely deaf even with aids x
Pebeo also have relief pens in gold and silver that would give a similar effect in one step. Lia Dia uses them for her katzu finishes.
Yes they do, I use them lots. It's very good though not as mirror finish as the foiling. I use both depending on what finish I'm after :)

Tip: When using pebeo or size put it on then put it on your heat mat to dry SO much quicker ❤ less waiting around is always a bonus 😂
I often do, yes it works a treat :) Good tip

They are real starfish. Starfish shed their limbs in defense. Those are unalive starfish.
Actually just the skeletons of the starfish.

Strange, that's contrary to the research I did. I shan't get any more then, thanks for the info
