Its a fantastic looking car, its spec is second to none, i looove it & love it so much i have the GT Line Luxury (GT Line S) Hybrid on order, due December to me in Cyprus, and I really can't wait. So excited just wish i didn't have to wait so long for it.
So now there is Gt-liNe S? Previously the top spec was Gt-line without the S. I ordered the Gt-line (top spec 9 months ago) and cannot wait for it to be delivered. Still waiting...
I get 46.4+ MPG on run out... That's with the mild hybrid GT Line S version, of this car... Heard lots of people, complaining about the Mild Hybrid mpg..... Especially for the 4WD Automatic version. Well, mine is the 4WD, Automatic version! I set the car to Eco, then drive it.... I don't do harsh acceleration, or harsh breaking, I get sailing mode come during a run out, the engine will cut out & in as needed, for the Eco mode.... So, it's quite a reasonable MPG... I'd expect the HEV to beat it! But I guess a lot of people, have a lead foot & mess it up!? 🤷♂️🤣. All the best m8.
Off for a test drive tomorrow. Thanks for the video. I now know a lot more information about the exact model and colour we are interested in. BTW I share your opinion on the reason not to go for a higher spec, also it falls into the prestige car tax bracket. Great review many thanks
Hi Gerry, thanks for the comment, glad you enjoyed the video. Yes it’s a lot of extra money for the higher spec and I don’t think you need it. This GT line had everything I needed, i hope your test drive goes well, would love to know how it goes and what you think. Thanks for chatting 🤗
@@HisSacredLove The difference between my wife’s KX4 Sportage and the GT Line Sportage is night and day. Really impressed with the GTline self charging hybrid. We have ordered one in Blue. Long delivery not to until Q4 this year. Worth the wait.
I’ve ordered one, but I’ve been told it could be as late as December. They haven’t even started building it, as I get updates on how far they are with my order. I order it June 3rd. I’ve had a delay of a week but months…no.
After 4k, I'm getting 42 to the gallon. The engine is eager, but shouty, and the less said about the constant warning beeps that can't be turned off, the better.
Passengers in the back will want to use their phones while charging so wireless would be pointless. Different for the driver. Just ordered a GT line S full hybrid in green and black 😊
Ah Phil that makes sense actually people always want to go on their phones now don’t they. Sounds like you have a made a great purchase! I love that green colour they do! Sounds Awsome. I bet you can’t wait to get it. Thanks for sharing with us 🤗
got my flame blue sportage 4 in march. great car. fast forward November 28 ( 5900 miles later ) . Loose crankshaft pulley has wrecked the engine. Dealer will not start repairs till after christmas. No courtesy car. hire car from Kia still under review. Still paying for a good looking pile of metal and plastic. No one gives a !!!!!!! Buyer Beware
Hey Andrew, thanks for the comment and sharing your story, I bet that has been stressful for you. Can’t believe that I hope you get the work done and car back soon. After Xmas seems a bit far off tho. Let us know what happens as it’s always great to help others 🤗
kia have finally agreed a hire car ( new kia Niro ). dealer still awaiting part. The dealer now has 3 Sportages sitting in the workshop with the same problem@@CarChatTV
@@andrewwilliams7543wow, that's terrible customer care. I now will not have a Kia & a busted crankshaft in new cars is very poor. Get your money back, unlikely I know.
Hey thanks so much for the comment. We have just released a longer one on it as a full review. Check it out and let me know what you think thanks again 🤗
This GT Line you showed has heated front seats. Did the previous 2022 GT Line did not have these? I’ve seen some pre-reg GT Line that don’t. Could you clarify for me?
Hey thanks for the question. The 2022 should have them as standard in the GT LINE. Maybe some countries have removed them. But I think in the UK the heated seats should be in there as standard on that level trim 👍🏽
From Nov 2022 onwards the GT Line has the heated front seats and heated steering wheel. Prior to that it didn't. They increased the prices a bit for this spec in Nov along with the slight spec upgrade. I ordered mine in Nov therefore I got the heated seats. Bear in mind that some people who placed their order prior to Nov and just got the car delivered did not get the heated seats as they weren't included at the time they ordered. Also note that the 3 spec costs £1K more than the GT Line, but it looks so much worse externally and internally and you only get heated rear seats, electric drivers seat (no memory), different drivers display (not needed as it doesn't have blind spot camera), so you are better off with the GT Line if you don't want to go for the S version (and pay luxury car tax).
Hey Larry. It’s good especially when you are cruising. When you put your foot down you hear it hang on to the gears for longer that’s when you notice the changes a bit more. But we were really impressed all round with the car. Thanks for the comment 🤗
Yeah that’s fair, pretty much same car apart from the looks. I really like the Tucson too. I think last time I checked the prices the Tucson was £10 more lol not much in it. Thanks for the comment and taking the time to chat to us 🤗

Oh yes can’t wait to do a review on the EV9 looks a beast

Parts for Kia sportage are hard to find . I had to orders parts from germany
Renault is same. My old Scenic, can't get parts & bought used, some parts I did get cost 100s, 2 wiper motors bill was to be 1,400!

Tucson HEV all the way. KIA does not do light interiors, Hyundai does. Also, I like the design in and out much more on the Tucson.

No spare wheel, why not?
Cost companies too much money now unless you pay extra for it as an option some brands do!

What’s SBW?
@@CarChatTV the dial for automatic gear apparently.
Yes it has a rotary dial selector to choose your gear 👍🏽
Done 80k on ours clutch just gone and guess what it’s not covered by the 7 yr warranty they say it’s a ware and tear part not happy £500
The cars been out just over a year and you’ve done 80k miles. Hmm

in 80k miles have you claimed on anything else?
Clutch is a wear item and depending how driven 80k miles isn't bad at all. Neither is £500 to replace.
