    Wow -- I counted at least half a dozen of the small things like using picture frame hangers and the like that I can put in practice this weekend. So glad I randomly found your channel!

    I really like the dowel spring clamp hanger - great job on the tool holders! I think if it can make me more organized, it'll work for anyone :)

      John Heisz Thanks John, I don't think there is a much better way of organizing your everyday shop tools! I think all shops big and small need a tool wall similar to this.

    Matt, you did a fantastic job on your version of the John Heisz tool wall. In particular, I really like how you did the small profile wood block supports with the lip edges, and the pens & pencil holders. Both you and John Heisz are a great asset to the online woodworking community. Cheers from Canada.

    Nothing beats an organized shop - and you've put yourself at the front of the class with that setup. Nice job! My Dad always said a clean shop is a slow shop, but a disorganized shop is one destined to run behind schedule. That wall will ensure no lost time looking for tools. And I admire your use of scrap to make it all happen. Thanks for the follow-up, I've been looking forward to this video! And thanks as well to John for putting this idea out there for all of us to take advantage of.. :-)

    • @MattLaneWoodshop
      @MattLaneWoodshop  9 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      cuskit Thanks Mike, your right about the organization, plus it helps prevent the "now where did I put that?" I try and use scraps whenever possible :).

    When my friend and I decided to build a small boat in my basement I decided to make a shadow board for my tools. Simple, just paint the plywood white , trace the tool and paint the "shadow" black. The shadow allowed us to find the missing tools and put them in place and also my friend did not have to figure out which tool went where without the shadow picture.
