My gramma was no samurai carpenter, or any kind of a carpenter, but seeing your tool wall, reminded me so much of her garage. Every thing in perfect order and organization. Lovely.
But you know, it's, in fact, functional. What you see is what you tend to do. It's no hard rule, but an apprentice learning the trade in a scrappy looking shop will likely never have the same attention for detail and craft as one where even the shop furniture is nicely built. So having nicely finished shop furniture is in fact part of teaching your apprentices.
I really appreciate how you centerpieced that amazing chisel from Alec Steele. and that wall... simply wow. stylish, sober, balanced, beautiful and functional. love it. it must have took you a long time in planning that...
Looks like the cover of a woodworking magazine. You'll always have to keep putting your tools back in their proper place to maintain the look. Great job.
Hi. I have said this on other occasions, you are not just a fantastic woodworker , but a fantastic ARTIST, I would be afraid to let dust on to that wall never mind letting anyone touch it
Had a shoulder reconstruction myself about three years ago - after working on through it for seventeen years it was a total mess in there... Taken a long time, but the lack of pain was by far the best improvement. That and regaining 100% movement... Good luck with yours, hope its a full recovery and a fast one.
Man! Missed these type of videos! Great build, looks awesome! Loving that deer head centre piece, it's definitely found a better home. Hope you get sorted with that shoulder soon, looking forward to more awesome content. All the best!
So look forward to watching your videos such a inspiration🔨🗜🛠⚔ got a Japanese planner the other day man what a amazing tool . . . Stay safe . And a massive thanks from UK Devon
Glad to hear your shoulder is on the mend and hopefully good as new. Just perfectly beautiful workmanship. Thank you. Now, I need to watch that again!!
Watching your videos from france for a while now and I must say... Sharper it is. I am always impressed by your work and your videos are fun to watch. So thank you !
7:07 The Church of Samurai Carpenter...Welcomes you! I can only imagine how long it took to mastermind where everything would go before even cutting a first piece of plywood. I am speechless, you ROCK the wood and your axes along with your white drummer bucket. My OCD is soooo happy right now. I hit a like with my left hand and subscribe with my right. Have a fast recovery. Slavik.
A tool wall to be immensely satisfied with. When you were done, did you have a moment or two where you were like, "Damn, why did I not do this way sooner!" ?
I really hope these Jamokes who say you've lost your edge are even on par with you bro. awsome video even better tool wall!! makes young carpenters like myself jaw drop. 👏👏 well done God bless you and your family !
The only thing I can say at the moment is WOW!! My garage set up is similar to yours but never in a million years would I have thought to make something as gorgeous as your setup. Yes, I still have my grandfather’s and father’s tools and use them once in a while. But, I’m an artist, and seeing your wooden walls with shellac, I was blown away. I want my studio to look like that. CONGRATULATIONS on a job extremely well done.
I have to be honest, I'm one of the ones who thought Samurai has lost it a bit, his videos were better before and yada yada yada, and I'm very happy to been proven wrong, this is amazing, this is what every woodworker's shop wishes it looks like. Now I'm curious as to what it actually looks like during a project, cause mine (though modest as it is) is cluttery as hell midway through a project, nothing is where it's supposed to and I have a hard time finding the tool I JUST had on my hands. Kudos man! amazing work.
Man, I saw him putting up that espensive plywood and I was like damn! Then I remembered he does this for a living and this is probably what he wants to sell, so that was a really good investment. Plus... I am envious of his wall now. Ok. Let's replan the house.
Whoa! I see your Kung fu is GOOD!! REALLY REALLY GOOD! I’m a carpenter as well, 15yrs exp. but after watching you & this video for the first time I realized i need to take up another level..a couple levels. Very nice work!
Mate! Sharper than ever and the timing could not be better. On lockdown I'm about to build a new workshop (read: big shed it's only 6.8m x 3.1m). I am now totally upgrading the internal ply to a veneer and going for some wainscoting. Thank you as always :)
Man, Jesse, that's gotta be one of the nicest tools walls I've ever seen. Quite the investment! For anyone else looking to purchase marenti plywood, note that it more commonly is known as lauan or Phillipean mahogany. Please keep safe - both in and around the shop.
Everytime.. EVERYTIME I click on these videos I'm just so impressed with the workmanship. Well done again Samurai
Agreed!
My gramma was no samurai carpenter, or any kind of a carpenter, but seeing your tool wall, reminded me so much of her garage. Every thing in perfect order and organization. Lovely.
I can only imagine the HUGE smile on you face every time you walk into the shop and see that wall. That is the things dreams are made of. Awesome!

What!!! There's no pegboard.
absolutely nobody on youtube makes anything better than the samurai, been watching for years and i still become impressed after every video
The material, the design, the execution - phenomenal! Hat's off to the SC.
@Pat Mahon I used google translate to look up the Japanese name for the exotic and esoteric screwed butt joint for you:
バットジョイント
Battojointo
Wow! Voted Best Looking Toolwall On the Interweb!! Impressive wall to match the impressive skills!!
I really appreciate how you centerpieced that amazing chisel from Alec Steele. and that wall... simply wow. stylish, sober, balanced, beautiful and functional. love it. it must have took you a long time in planning that...
Absolutely Beautiful!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Nice work and inspiration!!!!!!!
Looks like the cover of a woodworking magazine. You'll always have to keep putting your tools back in their proper place to maintain the look. Great job.
Whoa!! That is awesome. I watch a lot of woodworking makers on TH-cam and you sir, demand respect. I would say the best!! Thank You.
You clearly have only sharpened your edge! That is an outstanding tool wall - I can see some of your ideas floating into my shop...
Hi.

Samurai. That wall looks epic man!!!

Incredible craftsmanship for sure but half the art is in the design. I'm blown away and inspired. Thank you!
I heard if you build a wall organizer with your left hand it feels like someone else did it is that true?

Sickest tool wall in the history of ever.
Not sure what I'm most impressed by, the tool wall, the tools, the shop, the craftsmanship... All of it! That's incredible!
Somebody: How many saws do you want to hang in a row?
Samurai Carpenter: Yes!!
Awesome work!
Hollow mortice chisel technique for Green & Green square plugs: Genious! Especially the part where you use the drill bit to center the mortice.
3:36 Giving Respect to the Alec Steele Chisel
all rise for it's anthem...
The chisel of power!

The samurai carpenter inspires me in wood what you inspire me in knife making. You are both great artists! Big hug from Argentina!
Nice to see that things are working out. Tool wall is very stylish. The little details really make a difference. Cheers, David.
A tool wall to be immensely satisfied with. When you were done, did you have a moment or two where you were like, "Damn, why did I not do this way sooner!" ?

makes young carpenters like myself jaw drop. 👏👏
well done God bless you and your family !
Clearly, those jabronies are losers for even considering that the man lost anything but respect for them.

You have built a veritable altar to the gods of woodworking! My jaw remains dropped!!!!😱
The shoulder injury is a direct result of that drum solo.
Or..... what he does with his right hand!
good to see you're healing and getting back on things. Get better - get best
Wall envy - I guess that's a thing now.
Man, I saw him putting up that espensive plywood and I was like damn! Then I remembered he does this for a living and this is probably what he wants to sell, so that was a really good investment. Plus... I am envious of his wall now. Ok. Let's replan the house.

I'm sure that if I had OCD then this would calm me.
As a person with OCD that respects quality woodwork, yes, yes this does calm me

Wow 😳 it’s dream tool wall for many people. Workshop like a store!
Rout thine* enemies. If the next word starts with a vowel, it is "thine." (Much like contemporary English "a"/"an")
Jesse, a long way from the day. You are doing so much better.
“It’s only a shop project so it doesn’t need to be fancy’’ said Jess. Never!
About time the shop gets some love
I agree. NEVER use that voice again, I almost didn't watch cause of that intro haha
Wow! There are soo many ways to cut and chop wood as displayed on the tool wall good job
I tried doing it with my left hand, and it was a failure. Feeling sad for you

That dance when you were plaining the boards made me smile! Always got to have fun while working.
Love the use of a French cleat for the router bits. Been using those for organisation lately and great to see a pro showing it.

Man, Jesse, that's gotta be one of the nicest tools walls I've ever seen. Quite the investment! For anyone else looking to purchase marenti plywood, note that it more commonly is known as lauan or Phillipean mahogany.
Please keep safe - both in and around the shop.
Prettiest and most cleverly-designed tool hangers I've ever seen. Approaching very closely the level of the legendary Sam Maloof!
God bless you samurai carpenter, he will give you the joy you are looking for!
Dude.....just .......WOW. thats absolutely stunning!
Mind blown. Pretty spectacular in every way. Now you just gotta experience a true (European) sliding saw.....
Nice to see your Steele chisel is front and center!
Beautiful! It seems an exhibition of tools in the best hardware store.
Everything you do has that quality of a samuray master.
Congratulations.
