    knowing the different types of serotonin receptors has the clinical significance in the fact that different drugs are being made with SPECIFIC receptor subtype actions and are considered extremely useful in treatment with minimal side effects. you should try to focused more on that in the videos. above video is nice but it is useful only to a handful of people doing a PhD in receptor signalling or related fields. good luck with future vids!

    Hi, this series on the 5-HT receptors has been very useful to me, but the reviews i read on this subject don't mention a 5-HT1C receptor, i see only 5 receptors in the 5-HT1 group A, B skips to D, e, and F. Please correct me if i'm wrong i'm working on this for my thesis. Thank you :)

      Hi, that article is from 1993, since i wrote the comment i found out that the 5-HT1C is now actually the 5-HT2C receptor.

      that's true, there are only 5 subtypes of HT1 receptors, the subtype C is now considered the 5-HT2 C receptor:
      5HT1: A, B, D, E, F
      5HT2: A, B, C
