Been making music 10 years now, was stuck on "making it" got signed to some big edm labels and that really got in the way of wanting to expand to this niche, seeing u break it down this way... really puts things into perspective, I have a single goal this year to sign 1 beat on 1 TV show this year, seeing how u work, just gave me hope #lessismore
@@atrxyu had to step back a bit, just had a baby 2 weeks ago and started working from home , but u just reminded me I have 20 tracks I should be trying to send to libraries , lol thank you!
Thank you for the time you took to educate the people like me.. I'm just getting started trying to learn how to start getting paid through Sync Licensing and im watching everything you have.
Thanks for the video. Just started using FL Studio after being a Reason, PT & Logic dude forever. I've had many placements and streams through the years with other shops. Only recently have I considered pitching and placing my music with my own company. No, is still my favorite word. Cheers.
GREAT video man. I just recently started watching your content and I'm gaining a lot from it. I've been writing for sync on and off for a few years, only recently started taking it seriously but signed my first library deal last year for 10 tracks including some Urban Tension cues. Looking forward to diving into more of what you have to offer 💎

Dope tutorial! Why should the busiest part of the beat be on the back end and not on the front end? Most people promote having the busiest part up front to grab the listeners attention. This is an interesting take.
This is a dope question! The reason why I keep the end busier the hook at the end can close a scene. The beginning is the hook, the middle is the dialogue, and the party heavy drives out the scene. This helps maximize the duration of your placement in most cases
@@XcaliberZeroSync Thanks for the insight! That makes sense from a sync licensing standpoint. I gotta study up on the music used on shows to make better sense of things like this.

Awesome video, thanks for sharing this with us! I noticed how simple you keep your drums, while I tend to spend a lot time adjusting the velocity and swing of my Hi-Hats to "humanize" them. Is that something you'd recommend in modern Hip Hop?

I noticed how simple you keep your drums, while I tend to spend a lot time adjusting the velocity and swing of my Hi-Hats to "humanize" them. Is that something you'd recommend in modern Hip Hop?
It's all based on preference and depends on the track. Generally, the more simple I can keep the hihats the better!
In general how long should your songs be. I know when making tracks for artist it’s silly around 2:50-3:10 ish.
I'd say 1:30 to 2 mins is the sweet spot
