Firstly, respect to the old chap who passed away, never easy at times like this and your respecting the families space for a few days is commendable Chad.
And on to the old Dodge, she sure runs sweet considering the time she has sat.
But, wouldn't the family want all the brake lines replaced, their most precious posession is going to be driving it around after all?
    Just a thought.
Keep on keeping on Chad, love your videos👍👍

I pulled a radiator out of a Dart that had been scrapped in Washington State several years back ( I have escaped the looney bin since then and am now thankfully in NC). It was originally from AZ, had a 318, AC, and the trailer tow package. Grabbed the shroud & clutch fan, too...was out the door for about 30-ish dollars. Had the radiator boiled out, pressure tested & one small separation at the top tank/core spot. The guys charged me $55-60. I held onto the combo, knowing I'd eventually use it. Within a year, got given a '76 Valiant with a 318. Parked in the garage about 1982, bad heater core & weak radiator; 88K miles on it now. Popped in a new heater core, new t-stat, installed my pieces and brought it with me to the East Coast. It's just a cool, fun car to putter with and do improvements on

It is amazing how well that old engine ran once the fuel issues were repaired. Very smooth and quiet. As for your homeless tent, you really do need to take whatever precautions you can to not get overheated. You are not as old as I am but I just experienced heat exhaustion this past week, just from doing my weekly lawn care. Three days later I still get tired just from making dinner, but I am following Dr. orders. Be careful.

So sorry to hear of the property owners passing. May he RIP. Yes old Dodges are tough especially the 318. Hopefully the Torque flight trans comes to life, ordinarily very forgiving. Just need to get it out to your shop and a clean place to work. Field repairs in brush and rough ground will try your patience.
Keep up the good work and I enjoy.

You’re getting all the rain and here in north Texas we are in extreme heat and drought really bad. That old has a really nice body. I haven’t seen one that clean in a very long time. Just the other day we had feel like temperatures of 118-120 and it was unbearable.

The old dodge may not got all the factory options, bells & whistles BUT WHAT IT DOES HAVE IS the two ribbed shop bench’s under the hood 💪 so no tools, parts, or anything u place DONT ROLL OFF on the ground!! Freekin awesome and a true pick-up design person that thought of the consumer! Now that is a long lost detail they should of kept!!!

Surprised the rings aren't stuck! And the reason it runs so good,,is because it's had a FINE MECHANIC A HOLD OF AFTER SITTING FOR 34 YEARS!! AND I MEAN THAT AS A COMPLIMENT!! And one more thing I noticed is you need a good set of LINE WRENCHES, THEY ARE HANDY FOR NOT ROUNDING OFF THE NUTS.

My Condolences for the loss of your friend. On the few occasions that he was featured/guest starred cameo'd he seemed like a nice old feller. Very knowledgeable about the vehicles(trucks) he owned. It is a huge loss of information on trucks that will never get passed down or tapped into? To lose someone like that in the automotive community is to lose a wealth of brains and know-how? You know what I mean? The family loses him, you lost him and we all lost him or someone like him that we looked up to. Sorry, I don't do good words when I talk about stuff like this.

You should keep a patio umbrella and stand in your truck to protect you from those hot days. I have an uncle in FL who works on cars, and he uses one, and he has it on a small dolly so he can easily roll it when needed.

miserable conditions for sure, conquer and overcome... yes you did! Not surprised old mopar runs like a swiss watch. Always check trans fluid in a mopar with selector in neutral, until about 99. Sonax makes an upgraded valve to check in park. Sad to hear about the owner, surely he would've loved to have one last ride in the old sweptline dodge. Cheers, great job.
