Both Amazing Games have their ups and downs. Amazing 1 has a stronger presentation, more interesting combat, and a stronger cinematic focus. Amazing 2 on the other hand has a much better Free Roam, Stealth,more open levels, and a more refined Web Rush. I will say this to the end of time. If the pros of both games were put into one game, we would've had a REALLY good Spider-Man game.

After spending hours swinging as Miles, I decided to search old spidey games. Man it has come a long way.. back in the day I really did enjoy this game.
As long as you keep your heroic level at 3 you can swing for a good long time before it gets to 1 or even have to do another crimes plus the crimes are fun and challenging imo (lol spidey running through the burning buildings not giving a fuck and pulling bitches out of cars) but both games are equally fun and good to play. I mean hell there's a whole bunch of other freaking Spidey games to play.

V3N0M4N i disagree. The animations on spiderman 2 were quirky and felt unrealistic, and sure there are some glitches here and there but every game has that. EDIT : the flying was difinitely better
In the spiderman 2 game, your webs actually attached to buildings while swinging, there are randomly generated events and besides that, the free roaming area was massive! You could go to the Statue of Liberty whereas in this game, you can go to the highest point of the oscorp tower and only see the statue to the west side.
i didnt really understand when people said the NYC of spiderman ps4 felt alive. now im looking at this gameplay and i can definitely say this open world is pretty dead even if there are NPCs and cars moving around

STOP SAYING THIS GAME WAS BAD. This game, even after Spiderman Miles Morales, will always be good for me. I don't get why people don't like it. It's a genuinely fun game. Screw the physics, the web swinging was genuinely fun, it was also the game that introduced zip - to - point. The story and voice acting was also really good in my eyes. My favourite thing... SPOILERS To do is to web swing after escaping Smythe's lab near the end of the game while the city is getting destroyed and the Lizard is trying to kill Smythe.
I actually loved this game and i didn't even get it (instead i got amazing Spider-Man 2) i can tell i made a mistake at the time but now i can rest knowing im getting Spider-Man ps4 for Christmas in around 3 days.
This game was the best spider man game in years, people moan about the webs not attaching to buildings but come on, webs attach to building in tasm2 and look how that game turned out. V3N0M4N i disagree. The animations on spiderman 2 were quirky and felt unrealistic, and sure there are some glitches here and there but every game has that.

In the spiderman 2 game, your webs actually attached to buildings while swinging, there are randomly generated events and besides that, the free roaming area was massive! You could go to the Statue of Liberty whereas in this game, you can go to the highest point of the oscorp tower and only see the statue to the west side.

i didnt really understand when people said the NYC of spiderman ps4 felt alive. now im looking at this gameplay and i can definitely say this open world is pretty dead even if there are NPCs and cars moving around
The city in the PS4 game does feel alive though. The overabundance of NPCs and vehicles really captures how congested and overpopulated NYC is IRL.

@@darkhorsed I’d have to disagree, the story and gameplay was really good imo. Back when I was a kid I would play this game on repeat for like 10 times, never got tired of it. I’m pretty sure if you incorporate the same story with better graphics, character movements , etc, it would still be a banger of a game

Everyone trashing this game since Spiderman ps4 but don't realize how great it was when it was all we had besides web of shadows. Sure the game hasn't aged well but it was good for it's time.

This game, even after Spiderman Miles Morales, will always be good for me. I don't get why people don't like it. It's a genuinely fun game. Screw the physics, the web swinging was genuinely fun, it was also the game that introduced zip - to - point. The story and voice acting was also really good in my eyes. My favourite thing...

To do is to web swing after escaping Smythe's lab near the end of the game while the city is getting destroyed and the Lizard is trying to kill Smythe.

I actually loved this game and i didn't even get it (instead i got amazing Spider-Man 2) i can tell i made a mistake at the time but now i can rest knowing im getting Spider-Man ps4 for Christmas in around 3 days.
This game was the best spider man game in years, people moan about the webs not attaching to buildings but come on, webs attach to building in tasm2 and look how that game turned out. Everything was a step back, the graphics, the repetitive gameplay, the crap story with its forced villains. Webs attaching to buildings is about the only thing that game has going for it

Fernando Garcia How repetitive the game was, yeah sure TASM2 was fun but only for about an hour then I got super bored. I completed the game but it felt like a chore. Who likes a game like that?? The first one got boring as well but lasted longer than the second.

I absolutely hate the way the camera dramatically twists clockwise or anti-clockwise during the web swinging. They must've thought it was innovative but nah.
Insomniac absolutely nailed every aspect with the web swinging in their game.
