Haha! It´s funny how our brains work! My throat and mouth is so dry after watching this episode. I can even taste the dust 😉😂 You guys have really been working hard. You deserve a 👏👏👏❤
@@thechateauadventures Haha! So true! 😉😂 And yes it passed away as soon as I got away from the computer and took a deep breath and got a glass of water 😉Now I am preparing myself for next episode 😉😅
What a difference the sand blasting had done tot the walls. They will look amazing. The only problem is the clearing up after😅 Nice job over all. Loved watching 😘
👀👀 erm, we do not yet have the budget we need by a long shot! It is expensive but a whole load cheaper doing it yourself (as long as it’s done properly). One of the original builder’s quotes we had for a turn key ready finish was several million euros 😳🤯 we’re hoping to get it done for A LOT lot (lot) less than that!
Pardon my ignorance, was the sandblasting merely for cosmetic concerns or did it also help prepare the walls for pointing? Do you intend to leave the stonework exposed or will the walls eventually be plastered? Perhaps the chateau has a considerable amount of sheetrock in its future?
Not at all ☺️ Exactly that. Both cosmetic but also ensuring the stones are prepped for the pointing. Although the joints then still needed raking out with a mini air chisel.
For anyone watching, never go down an abandoned well like that. They have low oxygen levels and may contain concentration of gasses which can overwhelm you quickly. Sorry to be so abrupt, but it's a really bad idea.
Thanks for flagging. We were definitely not aiming to encourage anyone to head down a well. We were with a professional team who knew their stuff, but really important to flag the potential dangers, thank you ☺️
My back is killing me just watching you shoveling. Good work!👏👏👏
Haha! 😅 Thanks

Such arduous, painstaking work. I continue to admire your efforts!
Thank you, as always ☺️
Such amazing workload. It’s going to be beautiful.😊
Thank you. We really hope so 🤞🏼🤞🏼
The sandblasting looks so good. Too bad it has to be pointed.
Thanks. You’re not a fan of pointing? Or just the sheer scale of the job required?
Going to be gorgeous
😌 thanks
What a nice couple ❤❤
Thank you ☺️
It looks like you guys have a good restoration budget, you are working with! Expensive isn’t it? Thomas! 😅

brave going down that well it's certainly not for the faint hearted
👀 we were a little dubious about the idea at first, but it turned out to be great fun!

Good question, actually.

Which one is my room?
It seems only fair that you get to choose, Peter!

@@thechateauadventures Yes, that was for the people who might try to do things all on their own.
