- Changed the oil 3 times in a row on high milage dirty diesel BMW to achieve clean engine oil with that golden tinge 👌
Same process for most BMW diesels and many other BMWs. 330d/320d/335d/530d/535d/X5/X3/120d/118d etc

Off topic, but is it my eyes or is the drivers door a bad colour match to the rest of the car? Is that an age thing? The plastics on mine are a different orange to the rest when you stand back and look
Yea it’s always been like that. BMW changed the front wings and painted the rear arches under bodywork warranty when it was about 10 years old, apparently that’s how it came back from them. Fuck it, it’s an old shagger it’s least of its worries haha

Bien hecho amigo, ive just acquired a project a Merc w203, C320 so have just done the oil service ! Can u tell me if tbe beemer is 3 lit engine and takes 6.75lits, then why does the Merc 3lit take 8.5 ??
I like those, shame they suffer with the rust so bad… same with the e46 😕. It sounds like you might have out too much oil in yours though, I think they’re meant to take about 7 litres?
grate video as allways i don't bother doing engine oil fluses on diesel becuase as it goes about 1/2 a mile down the road it will be dirty again but any way grate video.

I did the same thing last weekend but i got the oil from work free of course and did 3 oil drains over the weekend before i used the proper oil which is A5b5 0w30 which isnt cheep i wish there was something chepper but i dont think i can get away with anything else maybe someone can tell me different
@@paulgilraine3127 what car/engine was this? I love having clean oil in my cars! This has done about 5k miles since I made this video and the oil still isn’t fully jet black like diesels usually all. It was actually properly clean for a good 2500 miles before it started to darken! Not bad for an old diesel on almost 200k miles.
Damn! Didn't realise for optimal performance I need to lube the outside of the engine as well with oil 🤔
Yes, lubricate the outside of your engine and you’ll feel the performance difference immediately
I always find it beneficial to dip my tool in oil.😁

Castrol edge... Best oil you can use. Hands down.
It’s up there. I like Fuchs, but didn’t have that to hand.
With my daily driver it’s nothing special I use what ever is on offer with oil but with the oil filter I Use only a premium brand not to bad on price £1 or £2 extra not going to Break the bank more money to spend on my classic car instead

you could have turned the ignition on with no oil in the car , not started it of course ,,,, but it would have shown if the level sensor was working ,,, ah well , maybe next time.
The oil can should light up yellow for low oil level, red for low pressure. It does come up yellow before red when you turn ignition on at first, but then just went out. I’d have expected it to show up as low with 2 litres low on oil but the sensor might be on the right hand side and the cat was tilted that way. Fuck knows 🤷♀️
