This phone can be compared with POCO X2, HONOR 9X Pro, Huawei Y9s, Realme 6 Pro, etc. I don't know why did Xiaomi launched this phone at this price point where thee is so much competition like POCO X2 has better display, better processor.
And I want to mention one more thing you said that Redmi Note 9 Pro Max And Redmi Note 9 Pro are confusing, but Apple iPhone 11 Pro and iPhone 11 Pro Max have only difference in display size and battery, cameras are same. Here Redmi has changed camera and charging speed.
