  • Jacob isn't Jacob anymore. God changed his name to Israel for a good reason, and it's time for Jacob to go to the promise land and be who God's called him to be.

Today is January 9, 2023. And on this day, let us pray for ourselves when we struggle to trust in God.

You don't get stuck to the single god, it's a false translation.
The Elohim said to Jacob to go up to Bethel and build an altar to the El (singular one of them all) who appeared to him when he did flee from his brother Esau.
According to the ancient hebrew text, the group of the Elohim encouraged Jacob to go built the altar to the one of them who appeared to him.
It sounds stupid that god would tell him to make an altar to god (himself??).
    It's dramatically, extremely simple.
The bible is full of examples like this.
It's the same mistake you all make in Deuteronomy 32, 8-9.
    Don't interpret, just read it.
    And don't get stuck.
    Peace.
