You should add some native creek fish like white suckers or northern hognose suckers into the new pond, especially the waterfall areas. They would help remove parasites and pests from the rocks and water and also are good forage for the trout and bass. They also make MASSIVE schools with other minnow species too!!
It would be REALLY cool to see some other species of trout in both of those ponds! Brown, Brook, Tiger, Bull, and Cutthroat, Splake trout are all cool options! I have noticed that Lake Trout like to stay further deep so maybe if you choose those place them in the larger pond.
Your pond is looking more and more natural. The shores are settling and changing. Can't see the tire tracks from the heavy equipment anymore. The animals are settling. The fish are reproducing. Amazing!! Man made nature
Adam, I used to have a cnc mold maker and loved watching him turn out one-off sample molds. He had a blue hard wax he used to test his programs. This way, he did not waste material, damage custom cutters, or machinery. You should look into it. Just a suggestion. Love watching you and miss watching my mold maker. (4140 aluminum).
There’s nothing more peaceful than sitting by, listening to the water fall, and relaxing. That is one beautiful, tranquil base you have to build off, hats off to you and the whole team!
cant have a successful pond with largemouth and smallmouth, also smallmouth dont reproduce nor thrive in ponds.. its why largemouths are so popular and common.
@Indysippi we have ponds down here in Arizona and they thrive pretty well together. Spawn just as normal as the largies in the ponds. Our smallmouth spawning as we speak actually.
Those trout will definitely have a better chance of survival in the falls. Still wonder about temperatures in the summer months. It'll be interesting to see.
Yesss a small mouth bass would be insaneeee down south 🔥🔥they can be aggressive too the look like literal foot balls then at 6lbs and try worms for the trout
Sherlock and Watson would be great names for the two baby bass since they joined up pretty quick to investigate their new pond. Awesome video as always.
I have become addicted to watching your pond updates, it’s been amazing watching this ecosystem grow! I can’t think of any names for the two new bass, but given the trout love the shallow areas of the pond and the “cedar falls”, I think they should be named Cedar and Oak! Happy new year!
I kinda feel the same way I'm about the most none outdoors type you can be I stay home and play video games most the time lol but I love this channel been watching since the start of the 5 acre pond build and haven't been able to stop
Really enjoy each new episode of BamaBass. Amazing videos of not only the fish but also watching the wildlife interact. Those new trout remind me of Fred & Wilma Flintstone.
Awesome, especially with the eagles. Btw, you should cover the edges of those water lily plastic buckets so it looks more natural now that the water is clear. Also move the cable covering that small solar panel, it will actually greatly reduce it's efficiency.
Man it’s awesome to see Rainbow trout stocked in an Alabama pond. You don’t see that very often! Figured I’d put in a name request for the two bass that you put in the small pond too. My vote is for Jack and Rose (from the Titanic). With it being winter and stocked in a cold pond, I figured it was fitting :) Either way thank you for the continued enjoyment with the videos!
I'd be honored if you named a trout Big John. My grandpa's name was John and at 6'4" tall he rightfully earned the nickname Big John. He taught me to trout fish when I was a kid and we caught so many rainbow trout out of the lakes in Utah. Unfortunately he passed almost a year ago, but I'm now passing on what he taught me to my kids.
This is such a wonderful channel. I don’t know the first thing about fishing, but I love watching the wildlife footage. You always have awesome engagement with your community, I just appreciate the effort. Keep up the good work!
We do so much trout fishing here in oregon that's so cool in ya backyard💯 been following this channel for a awhile!so awesome to see all the wildlife developing! 💚
Those trout are going to boil in the new shallow pond during the summer! Not sure how much planting some thick trees will help keep the water cool, but you should consider it or they won’t stand a chance
Agreed, trout need fast, cold water and the big pond is gonna end up getting way too hot during the summer. Cedar falls will be better since there's a cave and moving water, but it'll still be pretty hot. If you want a good trout habitat, base it off of areas like the south toe river in NC. Lots of big overhanging boulders, fast and cold water with lots of shade from rhododendron trees. Could even put some smallmouth, rock bass, and suckers to mimic the south toe and french broad river.
So Glad you added Rainbow I think a good name for them would be Trixie and tony. I am originally from British Columbia where just abut every lake has rainbow Trout where I would flyfish in a belly boat ( tube) awesome way to fish. Thanks you for you great videos, Great job, Thanks. Dave, Ontario Canada
Awesome looking pond.. Really well done...Im watching all the way from South Africa. The bass should be named PINKY and the BRAIN, as their cruising is showing they are taking over the pond...
From my experience rainbow trout can be very sensitive to being caught and released especially when stocked. Another important thing is to always handle them with wet hands as their skin is way more sensitive as well and damaged skin can lead to fungus development. I hope yours will handle it well and stay healthy
To keep with the saying, If you build it, they will come. You should jump start the nest built on the eagle tower. This may help them recognize it as a nesting location. Add a border around the edges and put a bunch of sticks so they can start forming a nest. Good luck! Love what you’re doing out there.
Also you should paint the eagle tower! Or put something around the post to make it feel more like a tree so they feel like they aren't all out in the open
Trout are a running water fish. Give the chance they are anadromous and migrate into saltwater and return to fresh water for spawning (steelhead). The creek and waterfall flowing gives them the impression of a flowing river to follow. I am in the PNW and we have way more trout fishing than bass. There is bass but the high mountain lakes are all trout.
Please add pale chub/ long fin banded hill trout, they are perfect for the new pond! They like fast flowing water and gravel, hard to breed and don’t grow too big or small and are in my opinion the most beautiful freshwater fish! They will also eat live and flakes/ pellets and will easily stand cold temperatures
Love your content I watch every episode of the pond story! I do a lot of trout fishing and if you’re looking for a new lure to try, check out pistol Pete’s. They work great and are easy for kids to fish too. They require a bubble bobber when fishing a spinning rod but are worth learning!
Just discovered today that my cat Floki loves your videos, LOL , he’s always trying to smack the fish! This is my favorite channel, and I love that you share this with us. Thank you and Happy New Year to the Crimson Oak Pond family and Cedar Falls is amazing!
Love your channel and everything you're doing! I think it would be an interesting project for you to develop a few acres of native wildflower and grasses habitat. It would definitely add to the biodiversity in plants, animals, insects and birds you are looking for. Keep up the amazing work!
I have to get you up here to the mountains of WV to catch some native brook trout, rainbows, the WV Golden Rainbow Trout (the true golden trout), maybe even a Tiger trout!
I live right next to a town called cedar falls in wisconsin so i love the pond name. We have a lake that is right next to us called lake Tainter that lake has a cool supper club on it called jakes.. jake and tainter would be cool names for the fish!

Maybe name the two trout “Mike” and “Ike” Trout. Enjoying the series.
Dori & Nemo
Name the two fish, June and Jonny Cash. They were alone and found each other. Oh, but only if ones a female and the other a male. LOL
Should name the new bass Johnny and June
I swear in a couple years time you will have 5 more ponds and it will be a waterpark. Looks amazing. Names Lois and Clark.
Name them Adam & eve

The bobcat is cool as hell. Hope to see more of him. It's a good sign that the ecosystem is healthy if there's a big cat in your area!
Completely agree! Can you imagine seeing a litter of small bobcats on the trail cam??
I live in New York and thought I saw a Bobcat on my property just last week, turns out it was a Gehl.
time to throw that Picnic table out. that bobcat sprayed all over it, I'm sure it smells rank now

For sure add the Smallmouth! Would definitely make the ponds complete. Smallies are so awesome and fun to catch.

All that fruit is too good for the trash Pandas .
@Indysippi we have ponds down here in Arizona and they thrive pretty well together. Spawn just as normal as the largies in the ponds. Our smallmouth spawning as we speak actually.
The crow was using the sand as grit for his gizzard. They use it to help digest their food
For the rainbow trout, I think it’d be cool to name them Aurora and Borealis. Makes them a pair and draws attention to their shimmering colors. 14:04
Man what’s your gamertag?? 😂😂
At this time of year?
At this time of day?

I like the names Fred and Wilma, like the Flintstones! Since the new pond has all that beautiful stone work :)
Not my favorite names, but this is so fitting. Very creative. Gets my vote
Sherlock and Watson would be great names for the two baby bass since they joined up pretty quick to investigate their new pond. Awesome video as always.
That bobcat is cool, love the random shots of it stalking around, should call him/her Stealth
Looks like you are building a paradise 🙂 Also a well deserved 1M Subscribers. Happy new year from chilly UK.
Love watching the ponds and wildlife grow!
This is the best series on YT. Love seeing the builds and all the wildlife.
Ann and Little Dan from "where the red fern grows" reminds me of the ferns around the new pond. I love the new pond videos. Keep it up!

The 2 new bass should be romeo and juliette because they found each other in the new pond. Love at first sight!
I think they should be named Brooks and Dunn, Romeo and Juliet is a great story though
Along the same lines you could do Nemo and Marlin
@@Bigpoopihouse11 yeah that could be cool too the problem is naming a fish nemo thats not a clown fish can be confusing lol
