This song is like the epitome of amazing vocal display. The ending "hope" is seriously enough to make anyone cry... And just look at how difficult it is to sing that part.... 1. It's HIGH..LIKE A LOT! 2. He sings it with a LOT of natural distortion! 3. That transition to "hope" is extremely smooth and difficult! Ronnie is so talented! It's sad to see the hate that he gets for his past... i wish people start to recognise and give him the appreciation that he deserves! I'm so glad you reacted to him! And you broke it down so much in detail! You're awesome! Keep up the amazing content!
What's your favorite Ronnie Radke moment? I think mine might just be the epic vocal melt down in THIS SONG. His desperate screams following his intricate cleans are at a whole new level in this performance! What do you think?
Ronnie Radke = GOAT. Ridiculous talent and ability, with no effort. Vocal range is astonishing and the emotional aspect of his songs hits you in the gut. Goosebumps everytime I hear him. Just amazing.
I would love if you did this for Falling in Reverse songs either “Popular Monster” or “Losing my Life”. He uses basically every type of vocal technique in both of them from fry screams and false chord growly things, angelic singing, yelling, rapping etc with such a huge amount of ramp up especially in the second verse of Popular Monster. This guy is an absolute god. He even says so in “Losing my Life” lol Flaunt it you got it 😎
In contrast to another comment on here, I wanted to compliment you on mimicking the notes and approach throughout the reaction. That's exactly what a vocal coach should be doing, and I think that's awesome to hear and see!
I feel like he's reached inside me, grabbed my guts and tried to rip them out. Your intuitive cleverness, finely tuned ears, vocal agility and immaculate timing in capturing these sounds is remarkable Chris. Awesome work.
Just came across this and I have to give mad respect for actually diving deep and dissecting the song. Its awesome to watch a reaction from a vocalist perspective. Thats a SUB and like from me
thank you so much, chris! i‘ve been watching your videos a lot recently while trying to free my own voice and finding my proper style and i‘ve been longing for a video on ronnie for he‘s my biggest inspiration! this is awesome!!
i love your reaction videos so much! they are not only great to watch, but also a great opportunity to better understand and learn whats behind vocally masterpieces like this one. liked and subbed. keep it up!
Amazing break down of what he does in that song, I am a singer in a band and Ronnie Radke is a huge influence of mine. Having this break down of his vocals is extremely inspiring and eye opening! Thank you so much for that and I look forward to taking your vocal course in the near future!!
I’m only 2 years late, but this is such a brilliant reaction! Nice to see a vocal coach that also gets the aggressive side of singing breaking it down too,
I dont sing, but i love hearing your breakdown of these vocalists. really getting into Ronnie and FIR. this song is amazing. you should check out Popular Monster next.
I've always loved the rise and fall of the pitches of his voice , I wouldn't even try to do that in a full on scream let alone control the color of that pallet the way he does🎶🎤🤯
Hi Chris ! Thank you so much for doing a video about Ronnie Radke ! I was waiting for this one since your video about Chris Montionless. Thank you again !!! It's awesome !!!
I really enjoy your reactions, there are some frustrating moments when your pauses hit at inopportune times. The fact that you pause is not the issue, but maybe hit the left arrow to jump back 5-10 seconds before restarting so you don't miss some of the flow into/during the line that was paused on. Thanks for the effort put into these!
It’s a shame the “Roast of Ronnie Radke” tour got cut short, I was fortunate enough to catch the last show of the tour in Orlando and it was awesome seeing him run wild with his vocals with the band playing acoustic in a 500 cap room.
This sounds like a song on addiction... And the emotions expressed here probably should resonate with people that had directly or indirectly these experiences.
As a vocalist, your perspective was much needed. I've watched other reviews, but you are pointing out the other side of things that you can hear vocally
*new sub alert* I run across your vid this morning while watching other reactions to this song. Being a huge FIR and Ronnie fan, I wanted to hear what others were saying about this amazing masterpiece to be sure my opinion wasn't just bias, ya know what I mean? I just wanna say I absolutely love how insightful your breakdown is of Ronnie's vocals and the way you break it down in simple terms that everyone can understand. I look forward to seein more of your breakdowns 👍👍
So I do my head vocals when trying to sing Ronnie Radke like your last video, doing all the "dumb/stupid" things you do, i really love that! I dont sound like him the first couple of times i sing it but eventually i get up there, i sing his version of "Last Resort" and you have to do the "dumb" things you do, and for that im proud to have you as a teacher... I know this is an old video but i was singing Falling In Reverse and your video came up and i love hearing what you have yo say about this GREAT artist!😁 Thanks for being my teacher, i didnt go to any vocal teachings through out my life... I could kinda sing... And you are my first teacher and i have came so far from watching your videos! Thanks Man!😁
😍🔥 Ronnie 🔥😍 he’s such a gifted soul!!! And pure gem to the music industry and gem of a human being. Thanks for the break down of his vocal abilities. Great reaction🤘🏼. New sub hoping for more Falling in reverse.
you are and will always be my favourite online vocal coach. you have taught me a lot and helped me improve, but there is one thing that even you dont really have down yet. as good as you can do the whole screaming stuff, you lack the understanding (or maybe you dont even want to do that) of pure fry screams. i know how they work and how you set them up, but everytime i hear you scream, its more of a system of a down type of scream and not a falling in reverse scream. i would love to have you cover fry screams more, but i think every vocalist has its boundries. dont know. you are still the best one for sure!
Thanks so much for the wonderful comment and suggestion. Have you seen this video yet? th-cam.com/video/8dEAsDl4NTU/w-d-xo.html Melissa Cross actually commented on it! It's a perspective that's worth considering for sure.
Holy shit, i was like “this guy knows what he’s talking about, i wonder if he’s done a video on periphery/spencer sotelo” and so i looked and there’s literally a video with spencer and him in studio coming out in 8 hours 😂 what perfect timing
I liked this the instant you mentioned that pitch correction is just a cool tool that can be used wonderfully in music. Props for that, and the rest of the video, mate!
He's a great vocalist and being a long time fun made me appreciate him even more due to his development both as an artist and as a person. ALSO, man his voice is so high and i am a guy with a testitura of 3 octaves, i really wanted to cover the song with my band.😔
Now that I think about it... Is that a case where he's maybe using head voice combined with false chord "fry screams" rather than a belt that breaks into a scream? It sounds similar to what Sam Carter from Architects, and I've always felt that some of Sam's higher notes are a head voice scream rather than a regular high pitched, belted fry.
hey chris please make one of those "how to sing like" videos using ronnie clips from songs like situations, celler door, the day I left the womb, etc I would like you explain better his old way of singing and the way he ends the phrases on these songs
I know I've said this before, but I would really love to see you breakdown Beartooths Caleb Shomo in this same manner. His vocals are some of the most emotional I have ever heard.
It was awesome, Chris! Thank you for such a detailed review :) Would like take a look how you review something from Normandie's stuff "Collide", " Loop Hole" , "Enough", " Holy Water" 😊🙏🙏
Hearing Ronnie's new shit and how well he's mastered his voice makes me wish chester was still around. Can you imagine those 2 power houses singing together? Absolute masterpiece
There's another singer from a small band that I would be really interested to hear your thoughts on. His name is Johnny Kovacs from the band Tyler Leads, and he seems to be really versatile with his voice. The band is not well known, so I'm not sure it would be a good youtube video, but it might be interesting!
When I see vampire stuff I usually think of The Vampire Song, Lost Boys, and Twilight. This is more like Romeo and Juliet with a hint of a dark Beauty and the Beast, really think it could use more bass for mood and support, great creativity though
This is an incredible piece indeed, fantastic analysis, I learned a lot! I’m a musician who’s covered several Falling In Reverse songs, I’m very interested in private vocal training with someone like you, is that something you do? I saw your free course but I would love to look at private virtual lessons! Let me know.
I wonder what you think of how Julian Casablancas uses his voice, especially in his other band, The Voidz. He's such an underrated singer because of the first two Strokes records, and even there he's pretty nouanced.
Some constructive feedback: I think you should compress the audio on your video abit, or at least makes the sections, where you demosntrate stuff vocally a bit quieter. Also you switch camera angle while "all of the sudden" demonstrate stuff, i was not even prepared for you starting to sing. Just prepare the viewer a bit, that you are about to demonstrate something and make it not half a jumpscare and a bit quieter. Great infromative video anyway.
Hearing Ronnie scream in this song and hearing the desperation physically makes me tear up. I can feel the emotions behind it
Literally the only artist that can make me feel every emotion.
This song is like the epitome of amazing vocal display.
The ending "hope" is seriously enough to make anyone cry...
And just look at how difficult it is to sing that part....
1. It's HIGH..LIKE A LOT!
2. He sings it with a LOT of natural distortion!

I'm so glad you reacted to him! And you broke it down so much in detail! You're awesome! Keep up the amazing content!
Hearing vocal coaches reactions to Ronnie is my new favorite obsession
What's your favorite Ronnie Radke moment? I think mine might just be the epic vocal melt down in THIS SONG. His desperate screams following his intricate cleans are at a whole new level in this performance! What do you think?
Jeez, i need to work on my vocal break, its one of my weakest points XD
Awesome as always haha.
The end of The Drug in Me Is Reimagined is huge as well
@@nightwingx0126 YEAH
Im totally diggin the Tim Burton-esque sound beginning the bridge
He is a very talented singer and put a lot of emotion in every verse he sings. I bet it's one of the most difficult songs I have ever heard.
Ronnie Radke = GOAT. Ridiculous talent and ability, with no effort. Vocal range is astonishing and the emotional aspect of his songs hits you in the gut. Goosebumps everytime I hear him. Just amazing.

Flaunt it you got it 😎
I figured you would do a breakdown of Ronnie Radke but didn’t expect a reaction!
It was good timing for this one since the video just came out. Hopefully people dig it :) I think a "sing like" is still in order tho!
@@chrisliepe I’d love to see a Sing Like with Ronnie Radke and Jonny Craig
In contrast to another comment on here, I wanted to compliment you on mimicking the notes and approach throughout the reaction. That's exactly what a vocal coach should be doing, and I think that's awesome to hear and see!
Thank you!! Yes... exactly!
Ronnie is such a good vocalist, you can't deny that
Holy crap, Ronnie Radke is no joke. I had never heard of him before. Great reaction, Chris!
Try the drug in me is you reimagined; by falling in reverse.
This vampire song is his newest but he’s stunning in ^ the reimagined too.
RONNIE is the MOST VERSATILE... AND LYRICALLY TALENTED VOCALIST ...of ALL TIME...MIC DROP.
I hope Ronnie reacts to this
me too :)
I feel like he's reached inside me, grabbed my guts and tried to rip them out. Your intuitive cleverness, finely tuned ears, vocal agility and immaculate timing in capturing these sounds is remarkable Chris. Awesome work.

It really just grips you up and tears you apart in every way. Ugh. I can't get enough of it.
I dont sing, but i love hearing your breakdown of these vocalists. really getting into Ronnie and FIR. this song is amazing. you should check out Popular Monster next.
Was really hoping you’d cover this. So excited.
Wow I never thought you'd have Ronnie on your channel. This is so cool. 😮
I've always loved the rise and fall of the pitches of his voice , I wouldn't even try to do that in a full on scream let alone control the color of that pallet the way he does🎶🎤🤯
Metalcore finally getting the love they deserve
Hi Chris ! Thank you so much for doing a video about Ronnie Radke ! I was waiting for this one since your video about Chris Montionless. Thank you again !!! It's awesome !!!

Gold content brother, exactly what i was looking for
It’s a shame the “Roast of Ronnie Radke” tour got cut short, I was fortunate enough to catch the last show of the tour in Orlando and it was awesome seeing him run wild with his vocals with the band playing acoustic in a 500 cap room.
I love that his live performances are just as spectacular
I remember recommending a Ronnie Radke song awhile back and glad too see you did this one
This is an amazing reaction, so in depth and just eye opening.
Every single time I hear this song, especially with the MV, I always have full body chills when Ronnie sings the last word “hope”.
(^~^) 💕🦋
It's always good to listen different singers in different styles. There is always something inspiring... Thanks for sharing this.
My pleasure!
I've been waiting so long for this!!! Thanks Chris
His Desperation at 14:39 is so well renDereD with that sublime and light D5 on 'hope'...
This sounds like a song on addiction... And the emotions expressed here probably should resonate with people that had directly or indirectly these experiences.

I know I can't be the only one...but did anyone else here Ozzie in his "'cause you damn well..."
Gotta give props to his mixer and producer as well. This performance was flawless.
This is video I've been waiting for!
You should react to The drug in me is reimagined, please 🙏

He's one of the best vocalists I've listened to. Some people don't appreciate it but you voiced some of the good stuff I've recognized.
Incredible breakdown of this. Subscribed!
Thanks for the sub!!
Bro this might sound crazy but you sound like the rev from a7x when you sing high that’s crazy bro amazing
Not crazy a lot... I like that comparison :) I actually get told that quite a bit. Good ear!
Please do The Drug in Me is Reimagined, the best vocal performance of the year imo (and amazing video and song production overall).
Watching reactions from vocal coaches im convinced Ronnie is a fucking legend and will go down in history as such
Ronnie is super talented, I love his music =D
Love the content, Chris! Keep up the great work.
Ronnie has been my favorite singer since I heard FiR's first album. So glad I saw your video!
OOOOOOOOHHHHH I'M HYYYPED FOR THIS!
*deep breath*
okay. I'll shut up and listen now.
I kinda hope Ronnie sees this video. Would be cool.
That would be SUPER COOL
YES! I've been waiting for this one!
I liked this the instant you mentioned that pitch correction is just a cool tool that can be used wonderfully in music. Props for that, and the rest of the video, mate!
Right it's a TOOL! Let's learn how to use it well.
Found it. Awesome breakdown.
He's a great vocalist and being a long time fun made me appreciate him even more due to his development both as an artist and as a person.
ALSO, man his voice is so high and i am a guy with a testitura of 3 octaves, i really wanted to cover the song with my band.😔
TH-cam algorithm wins again. Never heard of you before today, but love your breakdown of this. Definitely checking out your other stuff!
Yay! Welcome to the channel! :)
The "lost all hope" belt at the end boggles my mind every time I hear it
Now that I think about it...
Totally could be! Great observations and attentiveness!
I love the song!! ✌️
This was wonderful!!!

YES! Coming up for sure!
OMGGG Ronnie is finally on this channel. I clicked FAST
Very incite-full and educated reaction. However. When you would scream into your mic, my air pods would about blow my drums out. 😂😂
hehe... sorry :) I should put a warning on all my videos to that effect
I know I've said this before, but I would really love to see you breakdown Beartooths Caleb Shomo in this same manner. His vocals are some of the most emotional I have ever heard.
It was awesome, Chris! Thank you for such a detailed review :)

My dude reacting to RR now?? Hell yeah!! Can't wait to see this!!
Hearing Ronnie's new shit and how well he's mastered his voice makes me wish chester was still around. Can you imagine those 2 power houses singing together? Absolute masterpiece
Well. Remastered. Revamped. We get the point
OH MAN... Chills to imagine it!
I think the only other singer that can even rival Ronnie is brendon Urie from panic. Both are incredible singers.
There's another singer from a small band that I would be really interested to hear your thoughts on. His name is Johnny Kovacs from the band Tyler Leads, and he seems to be really versatile with his voice. The band is not well known, so I'm not sure it would be a good youtube video, but it might be interesting!
Now I can't wait to see you reacts to The Drug In Me reimagined
😭💭
Idc that this is 2 yrs old.. Always Always Always back the video up 🙏
Comment for da algorithm
Streak count: 46
Would really like to see Ronnie react to this video in one of his future streams.
Me too!
Hey Chris! Would love a video on Danny’s voice from Asking Alexandria!
you are amazing voice too. Keep the good job
Ronnie does have an awesome voice. Hearing him live was a treat. Try some Black Veil Brides as well.
The ad I got at the end was for a music video of a song titled "I'm Not A Vampire (Revamped)"
Might have to check that out... 😶
Haha
Good job man 🖤
Thanks 🔥
When I see vampire stuff I usually think of The Vampire Song, Lost Boys, and Twilight. This is more like Romeo and Juliet with a hint of a dark Beauty and the Beast, really think it could use more bass for mood and support, great creativity though
Brilliant. :)
Do Slaughter to Prevail - Demolisher next, cant wait to see your reaction lmao
Chris: **SING** 9:06
automatically me: Yooo... THE REVV F*CKING SULLIVAN 😱❤️🔥
kinda
:)
Yeah, that's what I was always associating Chris's screams with
I love you for this
"I'm a vampire uuh" haha you made me laugh. Great video 👍🏼
Thanks 😆
Amazing breakdown. Never change the format, its perfect. Have you done anything on Claudio Sanchez from Coheed? Would love to see a breakdown of him.
Glad you liked it! Here's a video on Claudio :) th-cam.com/video/gOiMrMI1zFI/w-d-xo.html
You're the man. Thanks!!
Wow you are kinda matching his vocal that's impressive
THANK YOU!!!!!!
You're so welcome!
8:23 is amazing out of context xD
Please do falling in reverse the drug in me is reimaged I would love to hear your take on that one
This is an incredible piece indeed, fantastic analysis, I learned a lot! I’m a musician who’s covered several Falling In Reverse songs, I’m very interested in private vocal training with someone like you, is that something you do? Thanks so much! I do offer private lessons too. Head to ChrisLiepe.com and follow the "private lessons" link for more info!
08:10 serj tankian impression haha
Chris you deserve more recognition than Ronnie for the analysis hahaha. i love you men
hehe... glad you enjoyed!
I took 6 years of chorus but have that throat ringy tone at times. Any advice
