🤘🇫🇮 Nightwish Army Finland did not read all comments, so I might repeat the facts... Revamped version was made for honoring Guitarist Derek Jones (age 35) who died just five months after he lost his fiancée (Cetta) to cancer.
I'm so happy you reacted to this the way you did. The feels of this song were kind of lost on the pop style of the original, but the artistic orchestral touch with the vocals made the feelings so much more intense.
Thank you for your input on this type of sound. Ronnie is phenomenal. He can adjust his voice to what ever he wants. I am glad you decided to do this video to. Know I have another voice to help me understand different types of music.
I've seen a couple people get somewhat emotional during this song. I totally get it. I think the thing that really helps with empathizing is just how much emotion ronnie can convey in his voice. You can hear all the desperation... the pleading... the pain... idk maybe it's just me and I get easily emotional when I hear pain (I cried like a fucking baby during Avengers Endgame), but his voice always seems to hit me in the feels
I hear everything you just stated as well, my heart always gets emotional whenever I listen to the song. The ending broke me into tears. Ronnie did such an amazing job my goodness.
This is literally one of the most POWERFUL breathtaking songs I have ever heard it just reaches into the deepest depths of you this is one of my TOP FAVORITE songs ever.
I think theres a certain type of people that will always empathize more with the villains of stories as well. Like he killed people in the story, but I didn't want him to die at the same time.
I love this version. The original kinda seemed like it was bragging about doing drugs and addiction and shit and this version feels like he's really conveying the pain that drugs and alcohol caused him.
these reimagined version (drug in me and revamped) seem to reveal that Ronnie was using humor and brashness as a defense mechanism, laughing off his pain and damage. The reimaginings feel more like an honest confrontation.
I mean his original album was basically all fun melodies and dark lyrics which gave alot of that feel. Each project since he moved away from that sound first slowly eventually heavily.
Yeah he definitely does. Great breakdowns, and the way he obviously is actually moved by the music he reacts to. It's exactly what I want in reactions as a musician and an admirer of good tunes. This one was a masterpiece
I was NOT expecting this. I have never been a fan of this band at any point, but this one had me on the edge of my chair, goosebumps running through my spine hahah.
I second the above recommendation. Also... if you didn't like them before (I was never really a fan of the whole 2000's punk/emo bands), well... their new shit is next level stuff. Sounds completely different than his previous albums.
Dude...I haven’t like FELT vocals in my bones until I heard his revamped/reimagined shit in a WHILE. The composition of this piece is REALLY damn impressive. (Back to false Cord practice I go)
So basically if u are interested to know what Falling in Reverse is about these days u can check: "The Drug in me is reimagined" (a ballad, close to this one u just listened) The "trilogy" in THIS order: "Losing my mind" "Losing my life" "Drugs" Then, "Popular monster" for dessert ;D
Watching people genuinely go through the three stages of movement (surprise, being moved to tears, and lastly hype) in response to Ronnie's work has become literally the greatest thing to me. Great reaction. BTW, Ronnie reminded me so much of Dani Filth in the speaking section...it was just perfect lol.
Waterry EYES = An AMAZING PERFORMANCE I got the same reaction out of this song the first time I heard it .... My god what an epic heartwarming performance.
I like how Ronnie's voice has a universal effect on peoples emotions. No matter which reactor watches this song, they always get put in their emotions at some point XD
I've watched this video at least 10 times over the past few days. Idk who this guy is but he's the best reaction content creator I've ever seen. You can see his glassy eyes the entire video. Fuck toxic masculinity. Cry your god damn eyes out! People watch reaction videos because they wanna share their emotions with another person. Instant sub outta me. Edit: probably at 30+ views now. Music is beautiful. let the emotions fly! Edit #2: Probably at 50+ at this point. I try to watch other reaction tubers and I always come back to this. there is so much fake shit. You can tell this is legit raw emotion.
Really intense and emotional reaction, i feel you. Finally a reaction youtuber reacting with true passion for the music getting emotional without overacting / faking the emotions - so many just fake this because the viewer love to see how much the song touches the listener but i get triggered hard. In most of those staged reactions, it's acted so so bad that even the cast of MTV's Jersey Shore would be ashamed.
I love when people react to FIR because they don't expect Ronnie. His style is incredible and extremely unique and unapologetic and I don't think there's ever really been another Ronnie Radke and that's why people HATE him. I only recently got into them but their entire catalogue is such a roller coaster.
I absolutely love your reaction. The fact that you were reticent to do this, and the 180 degree turn you made, made it even more special to me. First of all, I appreciate your technical insight, but more than anything, your emotional reaction mirrored mine, and I'm sure Ronnie will be touched by this if he reacts to your reaction. You've earned a sub, and my compliments.
I've watched about 20 reactions to this, and this was by far the most enjoyable. In no way, shape, or form do I know anything technical regarding singing, composition, etc. To watch someone who does know music react this positively and with such enthusiasm is great to see.
Great analysis, Mark. Ronnie's voice has beautiful warmth in it. Never been a fan of the original version but this one hits me because of the emotions conveyed through his voice, the musical arrangement and the theatrical aspects of the video, everything just works well.
Me too Juliette. Never been a fan of the original version. Seems like he was boasting about drugs and shit, but this one man...just struck me right to my soul, really a whole damn vibe.
I have subscribed, solely for the fact that you are just as affected by vocals and music as I am. Seeing you tear up-not from the story-but simply because of admiration and appreciation of the vocal techniques, and how they pulled these emotions out of you from past experiences, is something I also do. Singing, (and screaming in the past) has always been something very important to me. Not because of the act of just singing, but from the intimacy and emotions behind and within it. I loved your reaction and breakdown of the techniques, and I love you for who you are. Thank you for this.
Man I'll be honest, you know how you can be a fan, but you drift in and out like a tide with the bands/artists that inspire you... didn't know about this yet! We all have our person somewhere that we can relate to, and Ronnie is the person that, through up and down I have felt a familiarity with. Having been through addiction, homelessness and time in a cell here and there, Ronnie has always been the artist I turned to. Sometimes in a arrogant way, sometimes in a "cry for help" kind of way. I am a metal guy, but the likes of falling in reverse, linkin Park, and bring me the horizon are always going to be a rock in my mind. I love that you are venturing dude, maybe push the boat further, music is such a vast spectrum and so much across all genres can hit a feel in our minds. Love from across the pond!
I reacted the same way the first time I heard him and Falling in Reverse. Hell, I don’t know how you couldn’t! Just thoroughly engaged and feeling like, “Oh shit, am I onto something special here or what!” It was actually Popular Monster and The Drug in Me is Reimagined. What a f#cking combo that is! What a pleasure… What a journey… Discovering a band like this, and then you get to go back and enjoy all their older music and watch how they’ve grown and learned and become more brave even, and truly become ever more eclectic over time. FiR led by Ronnie and his musical and storytelling genius has taken on different issues with more style and badassery, and yet more care, thought, and grace than is usually Ever found in one artist…especially when you take into account that he can shout and scream like a demon and yet in the same song he’ll sing with the voice of an angel. Now they are one of the top 5 best bands touring today. I firmly believe that! My high school years were the early 90’s, so I’m what most of you now would call a fossil. 😉 So you know they’re good when someone almost 50 is loving a modern band’s music this much! It’s their musicianship! Their talent for storytelling! How they love to make music videos that only make each song that much better every single time! Every song, every video… I am either shaking my head, probably with my hand on my forehead, flabbergasted at what I am seeing and hearing, I am either laughing and bopping around having a good time, Or I am incredibly emotional, likely experiencing a whole range of emotions, occasionally even getting something in my eye, Might even experience all three in the same song… you never know! But no matter what, the one constant you can always count on is that every note and every word of every song is going to really mean something to you…and you’ll be feeling truly connected to the music, the band, to Ronnie, and the millions of other fans who feel just as connected to Ronnie and… 𝐹𝑎𝑙𝑙𝑖𝑛𝑔 𝑖𝑛 𝑅𝑒𝑣𝑒𝑟𝑠𝑒! 🤙🏼🤙🏼
This revamped version has a major Broadway feel to it. Hell the video had a Broadway feel to it. Every video they put out that I've seen has been stellar.
I’m not a big fan of FIR but I sure can appreciate good music and honestly this and The drug in me is you redone are amazing. From the theatrical work to his voice. The emotion behind these songs are deep and he makes you feel his pain. 🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯 🤯🤯🤯🤯
This and the reimagined makes me cry. there is so much feeling and different parts of the songs pull the strings so effortlessly. I love seeing other reactors, who have skin in the game, acknowledge the parts of his music that they vibe with, the creativity of it all, the technical parts of what he accomplishes, and the fact that they get emotional as well. These two songs are my favorite!
This song always gives me goosebumps and the ending always makes me emotional no matter how many times I hear it, you really feel the pain in Ronnie's voice and you're there with him, he's a musical genius man 👏👏👏
This song brought tears to my eyes as well! Been a fan of this band for a long time and new to the channel! You have too check out his old rock stuff he even raps! Ronnie Radke is a fucking legend! The Drug in Me is You Reimagined will blow you away as well
From a technical standpoint, ronnie's voice is immaculate. Such control. But not just that, the way he can tell a story and guide your emotions with his voice, it's art, plain and simple. This song felt like a night at the theater.
Ronnie is genius and like a fine wine he is becoming better and better over the years. I've been following FIR since I was 13 and they always impact my life in some way (positively of course) 😁
Ronnie radke has transcended the genre and the generic sounds that pop punk and core can generate. He is in a league of his own. This song is a masterpiece and you will struggle to find a better song this year vocally from any singer of any genre. I look forward to this and how you will react. The thumbnail shows a bit of vulnerability so i can tell it moved you as it did me. As another comment has mentioned I hope this catches the algorithm also. Generally anything falling in reverse i have noticed gets a tonne of views. (Hopefully you catch that teen girl audience hahaha)
I, among others, seem to follow the react circuit for this one. So, I get double-bonus, this song, and Kardavox reacts. Win-win. This is a very powerful song, video, and really takes my breath away. I'll stop there, because...spoilers.
@@xombiekat13 Exactly !! That was my first thought too ! Glad I was not the only one 'cause I checked a lot of reactions and no one mentionned this. ^^
Back again. 10:45. Your reaction is so perfect and the reason why I love Falling in Reverse reaction videos. I get to relive that feeling of seeing it for the first time over and over again!
Loved your reaction. I wouldn't consider myself a fan of fir, but I'm quickly becoming one. This song makes me cry. It's like this song is about me (and many others I'd imagine.) amazing song. Amazing talent.
I fell in love with this band with hits like "Popular Monster" and more recently "Zombified", I wasn't as into their pop/punk hits in the previous decade...UNTIL i heard "The Drug in me is reimagined". THAT would be an epic song by falling in reverse for you to react to! I love watching all these react videos because I can relive my initial reactions to Ronnie Radcke's voice through the reactors!
Ronnie Radke literally blows you out of the water with near enough every song he does, the sheer musicianship and vocals are just on a completely new level all together, I love your reaction to this as it is genuine and real, I subscribed to your channel and can not wait to see more videos from you 🤘🏻🤘🏻
On my FIR shit during work medical leave for an injury and stumbled on this. I don’t have personal experience with substance abuse but know people (friends and family) who struggled. this version brought something in me the first time. Its so emotional and you can FEEL his emotions which is CRAZY.
Bro u are a fucking great teacher always loved his scream in this and me not being a singer always hurt my throat the when u explained I did it and was like bro wtf I can do it now you have my subscribe
I'm so happy you reacted to this!!!! I absolutely love the remake!! Its so much deeper meaning slowed down and you can really feel his emotions in the lyrics
I loved your review and I'm really glad I'm not the only one who cries because of this song lol. It's beautiful and heart wrenching. Relatable and painful. I'm glad you brought up the "hi my name is Ronnie" part because that gave me goosebumps the first time. The execution is so flawless, and carries exactly the weight that sentence should hold.
I loved your reaction! So great of you admitting that it was not your cup of tea, but you liked it sooooo much. Enjoy it again and again like us, the ones that just adore his amazing voice ❤️❤️❤️❤️
So I'm sitting here watching this again for the second time. I caught your reaction when it first came out and didn't notice that you're welling up a bit. I feel this bro. I'll often listen to music and get emotional over what I'm hearing be it the music itself, the vocal performance, or lyrics. This song was all encompassing for me. Goosebumps shit my man.
It's so awesome to see people moved with this song as I am. I've heard it 100 times at least and I still get chills and choked up. Mark...I'm with you man. As someone else said, you dont listen to this song...you feel it.
This is the most hyped I've seen you, I wish we were able to understand why we react as humans to powerful songs, the orchestral string and "monks" had some amazing layering.
Both this song and The Drug In Me Is Reimagined were down to an Irish musician called Sean Rooney. He sent Ronnie a tape of both songs with a more classical vibe. Sean plays the piano and did the orchestration on them. I'm hoping there is more from Radke and Rooney :) Great reaction and for once YT got a recommendation right lol :)
God i absolutely love seeing you're connection to the music it shows so much love and understanding for the material at hand. Always will be my favorite channel for these reasons not to mention your just super insightful
I want to thank you, ive always kinda liked screaming but because of you and your channel I've gained an appreciation for more of the mechanics of it and how that relatws to the FEELING of it. So, anyways, thanks
The "I'm an addict" part hit me, too. First time I said it was hard, so I can attest that he captured the feeling. I love all of their new stuff - it's so fresh and fun.
@ Kardavox new to your channel, but the one thing I will say that made me sub, aside from the stellar teaching on screams and all, was seeing your genuine smiles when the music hits that spot in your brain releasing some memories(: that’s what music is supposed to do! Connect with us and make us think!! Good work my guy!
As soon as you said "this kind of song isnt my thing" and you said you do death metal and the likes - I grinned like all hell and thought "Oh just wait, JUSTTT WAIT" and you reacted exactly how I thought you would hahaa! This song SENDS ME every time, especially this revamped verison.
i’ve watched this music video at least thirty times by now and i still react to it as if it’s the first time i’m seeing/hearing it whenever i rewatch it. the emotional reactions i have are even more evident now than they were in the beginning… aw, hell. a masterpiece. so happy to see you react to this one. i adore it!!! and i’ll be subscribing to your channel.
Man. This was the best and most genuine reaction I've seen to this song. I had a very similar reaction. I'm 8 years clean and sober. This song punched me right in the heart. Goosebumps galore. I've been watching others reactions to see if anyone had felt it like I did. Seeing yours (I love all your reactions) made me feel all those emotions again. Thanks for being real. Much love.
Very good reaction! I love how you are breaking it down to the core of what it is, and how Ronnie wants it to be taken on! I know you come from the technical part of it but you also know how to appreciate the visuals as well as the sound affects - they are off the charts, no doubt. Love you're breaking it down to the point
The response to this has been almost as overwhelming as the song was, thank you! Much love and appreciation to you all!

This songs perfectly describes the pain im goimg through right now in my life
@@lennytheghost4484 we are all adicts in a way or another
Good Stuff!
You should have check out The Drug in me Reimagined by fir...
1000% agree
Please please please!
you should hypnotize some people :D
This revamped version has so much of an influence of A Little Piece of Heaven and Bohemian Rhapsody.
There is literally nothing Ronnie can not do. EVERYTHING he does is good, and every song he does invokes some emotion out of you.
The Drug in Me is You Reimagined will blow you away as well
Welcome to the music genre that is Ronnie Radke
Really hope Ronnie sees this! He loves watching people react and I'm sure he'd really love and respect your channel.
That D5 at the end.......just......HITS me.
Almost like hearing a young Sergei Lemeshev, with the amount of feeling and control he has.
This is the best reaction to this song I've seen. I too wasn't expecting this version to be what it was and it hit me just as hard. So good.
I absolutely love all of the new Falling in Reverse content they have been dropping over the past years
Ronnie radke has transcended the genre and the generic sounds that pop punk and core can generate.
For me it is a contemporaneous Bohemian Rhapsody. It has different sections, drama, theatrical etc. In other words, Masterpiece
@@moon_amme mate couldn't have said it better myself
@@xombiekat13 Exactly !! That was my first thought too ! Glad I was not the only one 'cause I checked a lot of reactions and no one mentionned this. ^^
@@xombiekat13 bold, any "true" queen fan would be so mad at this statement but I agree this song definitely has that creativity Freddy had.
I always come back to watch this video. Your emotional reaction and excitement is infectious.
I adore watching someone really enjoy and get the music, they're hearing! I feel Ronnie has the best vocals for reaction videos!
Back again. 10:45. Your reaction is so perfect and the reason why I love Falling in Reverse reaction videos. I get to relive that feeling of seeing it for the first time over and over again!
Nothing makes me happier than seeing you fall in love with this song.
I love how hyped the homie got at @10:45 You are the man.
Ronnie Radke literally blows you out of the water with near enough every song he does, the sheer musicianship and vocals are just on a completely new level all together, I love your reaction to this as it is genuine and real, I subscribed to your channel and can not wait to see more videos from you 🤘🏻🤘🏻
Thanks Lana, welcome to the Kardavox family!
@@KardavoxAcademy glad to be a part of it, thank you.
This is exactly why I love reaction videos, so much pure emotions, by surprise.
From the smile...he hit the sweet spot for lack of a better phrase. Wanted to go you a hug by the end. So hugs from Newfoundland
God I love his cleans in kardashev its so fucking soothing and beautiful when he sings like honestly
On my FIR shit during work medical leave for an injury and stumbled on this.
I don’t have personal experience with substance abuse but know people (friends and family) who struggled. this version brought something in me the first time. Its so emotional and you can FEEL his emotions which is CRAZY.
Definitely, thanks for watching!
OH BOY... THIS IS REALLY HITS!!!
OH MY FREAKING GOD!!!
It basically broke my psyche
@@KardavoxAcademy Ronnie is really, really good at breaking you on the inside. His music is cathartic on a whole other level 🖤
10:34 I'm so glad you decided not to pause the video because the energy in the next 20 seconds is my favourite section of any reaction video ever!
Yeah, this song definitely got me. It's fantastic!
It's so awesome to see people moved with this song as I am. I've heard it 100 times at least and I still get chills and choked up. Mark...I'm with you man.
As someone else said, you dont listen to this song...you feel it.
I really hope Ronnie sees this! He reacts a lot to reactors, and i have to say i really loved your reaction out of all the ones i've seen so far
I would *LOVE* to see Ronnie watch this reaction. I think he'd have an absolute field day watching a professional break down his work
I believe he did at the time on his Twitch!
This is the most hyped I've seen you, I wish we were able to understand why we react as humans to powerful songs, the orchestral string and "monks" had some amazing layering.
The reaction at 10:40ish... Priceless!!! So good
I'm glad you feel what I feel what ilisten to this song. That "Pararampum" at 11:00, It brings you back, to focus on the lyrics. So good.
Yes! There's so many great little flourishes in this song, it's so well compsed!
Thanks for this reaction. Really, thanks. For the way you teach through your analysis, for not hiding your emotion, for your honesty. You are great.
Thanks so much, dude!
God i absolutely love seeing you're connection to the music it shows so much love and understanding for the material at hand. Always will be my favorite channel for these reasons not to mention your just super insightful
Thanks so much for the kind words!
Best cadence written! 1-5-6 heart strings everytime!!
You should do „The Drug in me Reimagined“ as well. It‘s a bit less screaming, abut also so intense an so different from the original song.
These are potentially the best vocals I have ever heard on a song. Has to win some award surely?
I cried the first time i heard it. This is so moving. still cry sometimes
I cried first time I heard it too. His voice control is insane and the screams are so passionate
I want to thank you, ive always kinda liked screaming but because of you and your channel I've gained an appreciation for more of the mechanics of it and how that relatws to the FEELING of it. So, anyways, thanks
Absolutely the most honest and visceral reaction to this I've seen. Thank you Mark. This is exactly how I felt the first time I saw this. 👏
Awesome, thanks for watching!
Only just found this reaction. I would describe your look as a Music teacher who has just watched his star student. great reaction
Thanks for watching dude! Welcome to the family :)
What a beautiful song what a beautiful voice what a masterpiece ronnie❤
As soon as you said "this kind of song isnt my thing" and you said you do death metal and the likes - I grinned like all hell and thought "Oh just wait, JUSTTT WAIT" and you reacted exactly how I thought you would hahaa! This song SENDS ME every time, especially this revamped verison.
Yeah, this song really surprised me and blew me away. Ronnie really has something special here!
Your obvious delight in this song is infectious.
i’ve watched this music video at least thirty times by now and i still react to it as if it’s the first time i’m seeing/hearing it whenever i rewatch it. the emotional reactions i have are even more evident now than they were in the beginning… aw, hell. a masterpiece. so happy to see you react to this one. i adore it!!! and i’ll be subscribing to your channel.
Much love.
Thanks so much for being so open, Dave, and congratulations on your progress. Long may it continue!
Very good reaction! I love how you are breaking it down to the core of what it is, and how Ronnie wants it to be taken on! I know you come from the technical part of it but you also know how to appreciate the visuals as well as the sound affects - they are off the charts, no doubt. Love you're breaking it down to the point
The laughs hit just the right moment after all that emotional heaviness. I loved this!
