What an amazing discussion. Everyone involved with tai chi and qigong should be listening to your podcasts. The depth of your knowledge on both the internal traditions and their history, makes you the person to follow.
Watched this before signing up for the Nei Gong classes and having worked through about halfway understand this podcast much better-love my online teachings and the ability to follow along at my own speed as I am up there in years (72 this year) - have had a meditation practice since my early 20's and this has enabled me to progress far beyond by self-taught meditation practice - really appreciate this opportunity to learn on line the finer points of a true system -hoping at some point to attend some of the live classes offered-again thank you
in other words, a complete qi gong & nei gong system should have the following processes: 1. establishing the essential qualities (i.e. the gong) 2. activating the energy (e.g. through standing practices) 3. nourishing with the energy (e.g. through gentle movements) 4. opening channels / breaking down stagnations (e.g. through more demanding movements & stretches) 5. inner peace (e.g. through seated meditation) :)
Thank you I've been doing nei gong internal alchemy plus studying the kybalion for mental alchemy and doing 8 brocades qi gong. I feel very healthy and relaxed.
You explained these things so well. Unlike so many other masters who don't explain properly, you explain everything very well. You make it easy to understand. I subscribed to your channel just for this.
Thank you Damo that was great! Coming up on a year with your program, have been involved with the arts for almost 40 years, I have made more progress in this past year with your clear straight forward approach to these arts, thank you!
Great to hear you out Damo! Following and look forward for some more.. In my understanding of mainly your teaching and others, I see complete system like this 1. Physical movenent (maximum body ,minimum attention on chi to become connected, stronger and fit) 2. Dao Yin (Some phisical, some preparation for energitic. to get the fascia envolve and open the body) 3. Static ( less phisicsl, more energitic exactly as you described) 4. Dinamic ( the qigong which is more energitic less phisical like wuxing or 5 phases that you thought) 5. Taiji ( integration of energitic and dinamic, real deal!) 6. Static ( more nei gong and akchemy in nature) 1-2-3 regulation of body (gym type ish) 4-5 regulation of mind-body ( teacher needed - online may work) 6 regulation of energy ( heat to heart) What are you thinking ok this? Like it?
super helpful, thanks, one thing, on 'returning' and prenatal breath or teixi, when mybdaughter was born, for the first minute or so her palms/finger, feet/toes, and crown/soft spot all pulsated in union, most amazing thing i ever saw, so they might be right about that ;) i asked u for a treatment recently, i'm in hospital again now, if you ever can, please, and thanks again, the system we train is a complete system, yay, now all i need do is train it completely !!!
the foundations exercises are excellent and his explanations are second to none. He truly understands whats happening with this type of work. I highly recommend joining.
In your Nei Gong program does it start with foundation Qi gong before moving into internal more spiritual aspects? Is it essentially a complete system? I am curious because I am considering signing up. Also is Micheal Rinaldini's school any good? His price and online formula makes me interested. I would like to get authentic training and certification but I am poor. Single dad with a special needs child makes it challenging to keep a job that pays well
Yes, foundation Qigong is where we start and then we progress beyond there. I don’t comment on other teachers work I am afraid and, actually, I don’t know anything about Michael’s work; I only know that he seems like a nice guy :) Sorry to hear you have those extra pressures; I hope you find what suits you best :)
@@LotusNeiGong Great breakdown, is DaoyYin a specific type of chikung used for entering fresh qi into the body and expelling 'evil qi' (stagnant qi, etc.), by means of stretching and the channels and instigating the 'strings' (dantien to feet connection traversing entire body to unite top and lower half) to form? Does it have any relation to YangShen Gong?
So stillness creates power where as qi gong type movements pump what's already there this would explain why doing the 8 brocades if for health cuz what its doing is pumping the qi that's there. I've noticed this from my practice and this lead me to enlightenment I would sit and place awareness on dantien then after I feel the energy flare up I would do qi gong. Then I would go read some mental alchemy for developing mental qualities.
LOL, video starts with the monkey sounds in the intro, and I had my eyes kind of diffused as I was thinking of something else and I saw the plant behind you kind of looks like a chimpazee face. The small yellow leaves in the center would be the eyes of the chimpanzee
Thank you damo you don't understand how helpful you are being to those who already along the path.

Gratitude, the amount of time saved in erroneous understanding especially for beginning people just by listening to this is invaluable.

Super cool that you are teaching again. Thanks for the explanation of the qualities.

For people in the online academy, what's your experience been like in getting results? Thank you
So far, in the academy, we have had four go insane, two deaths and five ascend to the immortal realm :)
Damo Mitchell - Lotus Nei Gong now those are my kind of odds!
the foundations exercises are excellent and his explanations are second to none. He truly understands whats happening with this type of work. I highly recommend joining.
@@LotusNeiGong what goes beyond immortal realm? ancient realm? then dao realm? then daosource realm? and then ancestor realm? jk
Very good explanation on daoyin
I appreciate your discernment and progressive, dynamic study, Thank You!
Nice to make contact :)
Would you please do a follow-up on what constitutes a complete tai chi system?
Thank you sir! ❤

Very informative. Thank you.
Are your practices similar to Mantak Chia’s?
No, they are different :)
very helpful synthesis!
Is Nei Gong compatible with tantric hindu kundalini practices? Will they complement one another or cause conflict?
It really depends on the nature of the Hindu work to be honest. It is the more forceful breathing that tends to be the issue :)
can Damo faqi ??
Super very helpful. Thank you.
Thank you!!!

Probably also contain View teachings and set of values too...
Thank you

Why not teach the lineage you practice?
I teach what is best for people
