I’m not too sure on the 185 oil pump, but to bleed out the 750 , you have to have the oil tank line fitted to the pump, prime up the lines, & to bleed it out, you had to have the oil pump fully open while the engine is running & it usually takes around 10 minutes, 15 tops, that’s how I did my 750,

Just got done ultrasonically cleaning/rebuilding the carbs everything is back together on my 75 GT185. Did all the right things, cleaned the oil lines, bled them from the diaphragm the motor, then the line from the tank to the pump etc. etc.. You, the Haynes manual etc. and my buddy have been super helpful. Getting good oil flow which is exciting! But, I have the same issue you did when you buttoned everything back up and first started your motor - mine wants to instantly rev higher and higher. I noticed you were able to bring yours down back to idling speed how did you do that? Thanks for your guidance.

Hi I sold the bike so only the video remains as a record of what I did. I rarely keep a bike for more than a year as I have very little room for storage and that is kept for future resto projects.

Hi. Do you know if a 250cc crank and conrod can be used in place of the original 185 ones?
I have a 185gt but the engine was pulled apart and the crank is somewhat rusty and pitted.
I'm not sure if its servable.
If I need to buy another, I am considering upping cc.
    Thankyou for your video :)

That's beyond my pay grade! I try to avoid non running projects.
