This is a much more of a fair review than coaster studio’s. Nothing against that channel but it felt like half of his review was him complaining about how Canada is not exactly like the US. (I mean, he complained about people speaking french!). This being my local park, I pretty much related to everything you said (nice job pronouncing “Montreal” correctly). I don’t know what month you went to the park, but the food definitely improved over the season. The employees were absolutely clueless the first week, but improved in the later months. Dragon was pretty cool and had some really nice theming. Monstre is the only wooden coaster I’ve ridden so I have nothing to compare it to, really bumpy. I like how you complemented what was good and said what needed to be worked on, and you had separate sections and weren’t all over the place. I always find smaller TH-camrs give way better reviews than bigger ones. So keep it up!

I work at La Ronde and I can tell you that we were clueless at the beginning of last year because even our supervisors and managers were clueless. It seemed as if a lot of the health measures weren't communicated properly by Santé Canada so we had no idea how to disinfect our rides and other similar stuff so we were just doing what seemed logical to us. As the season went on, everything started becoming clearer.

Not only is it a fairer review; it's a more useful one - he actually describes the rides.

The Center piece is “Patrimoine” so it was built for Expo 67 and originally was a fountain before the others got there. In terms of food, they basically decided to remove Pizza Pizza and replace it with Pizza Ronde so it’s La Ronde controlling it hence why your food was really crappy.

I worked on Vampire last year and this year I work on Titan. I know that Monstre was closed because social distancing would have made the trains really light which would have increased the risk of the trains valleying during the ride. Minirail was closed because some customers have a tendency to spit on the people below. The water rides were closed because masks are ineffective when wet. Ednor does have a second train but I think that I remember it being added later in the season. I guess that it wasn't ready yet. Vampire was probably only running 1 train operations on that day because one of the Vampire staff members might have been absent that day. To run 2 trains, Vampire requires a minimum of 4 employees on the platform. If only 3 employees are present, we can only run 1 train on it. I might have been dispatched to another ride that day and maybe they couldn't find someone to replace me so maybe that is why it only ran with 1 train operations that day. Or maybe not lmao.
Also, I heard that the construction team modified the ending of la Vipère's layout and they also worked on the trains to try and make the ride experience as fun as possible.
Also, the Sabra near Goliath restaurant is really good. So next time, I suggest you eat there. The buttered chicken from the Koko Curry near Vampire is also really good. Almost every day, you can find one of my friends from Vampire or from Titan eating that dish from there lol

So that's the only reason why the monorail was closed due to spitting?! That's so disgusting, no doubt unruly teenagers thinking it's funny... so now the whole thing is closed down ruining the fun for everyone else. 😡 Easier said than done , but Isn't there some way to police this and ban those from the park who spit? How about the park install perspex barriers on the train cars sides? Or some kind of barrier/roofing along the track? There must be something that can be done to get it running again? I've never been on this attraction and I was so looking forward to going for a nice elevated ride through the park, especially on my first visit. I live locally and would definitely make use of this train if it was ever to run again! Fingers crossed it does! 🤞

@@VickyCacchioli People who spit at the park already do get banned but so many people do it that most people don't get reported or even noticed. The Minirail will reopen soon though. Probably next year. And I heard that they are adding new seatbelts on it.

Part of the reason the park has such a strong lineup of flat rides is because part of the long term lease agreement Six Flags has (they don't own the park outright) involves a minimum annual investment into the park by Six Flags, which is why after after Vampire and Goliath where added the only new roller coasters since Six Flags acquired it have been relocated ones. It's also the only park in the Six Flags chain that has its own workshop (a holdover form when the city managed it) which is why the rides are in better condition then their age would suggest.

Great video and review. Glad you enjoyed your visit. I was at LaRonde in the 80s, it was a different park back then and the lack of maintenance over decades has really caught up with them. Originally installed as part of Expo67, it has seen better days. A few buildings and monuments are still standing. Too bad you didn't ride LeMonstre, both tracks are great. Shouldn't a double coaster count as two in the park count, I really don't know.

Hello Atomic I had never heard about this channel before but now after seeing this video I am more than excited to watch all your videos. Here are some tips that might help you on your next visit to the park, The best Park restaurants are Rolopant, which melts gently fried pancakes, and Sabra make really god shish taouk's baked on wood that doesn't take place at an amusement park. As for the closed attractions, The monster needs a minimum weight to be able to do the full layout is unfortunately impossible with the pandemic for the dragon and the ferris wheel the ride was open but only on Saturdays because the park had more employees unlike the rest of the park's open days. The miniral could not work due to a mechanical test on the ride. On the side of fort edmonton (western area) Previously we had the pitoune which was a log flume ride but with 50 years of existence the structure was no longer able to follow. As for the souvenir shops La Ronde had to order all their merchandise on the spot knowing that he did not know if the park was going to open. Also for the vampire we are lucky in the round. 'have the most intense of the clones, reason in 2016 we had vampire backward and the park removed 1 section of bench so he left it as his and the vampire rolls with more speed and intensity. Thank yoy for this beautiful video and I wish you have better visit when you return :)

I work there and I can tell you that it will happen. The plans were designed around 2014-2015 and we were supposed to get it in 2017 instead of Titan. But there ended up being some complications and it got delayed. The coaster is still planned but I don't know when. I know people who saw the plans and I heard that the footprint will be much larger and that the coaster will be taller and it will be a dueling RMC. I just hope that it is still planned to be like that.

I'm originally from Montreal I used to have a season pass to this place in like 1998 and maybe 2000 or 2001. It was fun as a kid but the last time I went around 2013 it was the absolute worst experience I've ever had at an amusement park. The lines were so long. I live in Michigan now and after you go down to Cedar Point this place seems like a joke.
One thing about La Rinse back in the day that was awesome was the outdoor diving shows. Those guys were super fun and talented. I saw that it doesn't exist anymore. What a let down! And no more Nintendo Dome! What gives??
