    LOL...........kind of felt sorry for that guy fishing with you (blue shirt) didn't see him catch diddly squat while you were pulling them in one after another. Another great video, thank you, Ray Lowery

    My man. where do you buy your minnows? I live in Denton. What size of hook 🪝 do you use?

    Have you found that using live minnows is probably your # 1 first choice for crappie bait??? Sure looks like it. I am going to try fishing Lake Mead this coming spring (Live in Pahrump, Nevada), and i think i am going to bring a bucket of minnows with me..................lol..............looks like a winner for sure.........................ray lowery

      Yes Ray, live bait is always a winner. If you go on a guided trip, usually with any fishing guide, they will use live bait. If you feed the fish what their natural food source is, ie. Shad, shiners, skipjack, ect.. you’ll always do well. Use jigs late spring and summer.

    I tried finding this spot, if I’m at the boat ramp at buck creek where do I head from there? Is it on the other side of the railroad bridge or the highway bridge?

    • @BarFlyFishingTexas
      @BarFlyFishingTexas  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It’s about a mile and a half east of the road bridge. You’ve got a cross over the lake towards Tioga, take a right on Buck Creek Road, follow it back to you cross the bridge and you’ll see it

      Barfly Fishing Texas thank you, Sir! We usually fish at buck creek on the boat but our recent spots haven’t been panning out lately

      @@BarFlyFishingTexas I couldn’t find this place either. I rode down buck creek road and never seen a bridge. Is there a turnoff somewhere?

    Nice! Do you know where I can find a good spot for spring crappie on Ray Roberts?

      It’s hit or miss everywhere right now, the white bass are running like crazy in the creeks. I limited out in one hour today, a few days of this rain stoppage, and things should start to settle out

    What is your favorite hook size to use when fishing with minnows?

    How far from buck creek boat ramp??? At the ramp now lol

      Not too far, but takes a bit in a kayak. Go east, as far as you can. Creek to the left in the back of the cove.

      The Crappie are schooled up all around the bridge columns, especially on the railroad bridge… About 10 foot deep.

    • @BarFlyFishingTexas
      @BarFlyFishingTexas  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      7 to 8’. Most of the convenient stores in pilot point, or Tioga have minnows
