A refugee and an asylum seeker are the same thing. It is illegal to lie to try to gain asylum. Asylum seekers and refugees are asking for safe haven for the time in which their own country cannot accomodate them because of threat to their existence A country might offer asylum but once the threat is lifted, the country giving asylum has no obligation whatever to allow them or their family to remain and may aassist them to return home. Students coming to countries for study, should apply for student visas and not 'asylum' and if the country of choice is not open to offering visas to foreign students, then that is their law. No work arounds would be legal in that case. Asylum rules are quite clear, the asylum seeker must request asylum in the first safe country . Crossing the whole of a continent to gain asylum in a country, just because it is 'preferred', is not following the rules therefor the inhabitants of that country wont be welcoming or happy to see their economy poured down the drain just to make it 'nice' for those who think they can choose where to make a nest.
Rwanda is offering a safe haven and so asylum seekers who truly want to be safe from the problems of their own country, should see nothing wrong with being sent to safety there.
They are not all fleeing conflict. They lose passports and expect to be catered to for life. Free hotels then free priority stock social housing fully furnished courtesy of the taxpayer. It's an abomination and it's despicable. The student scams have exploited us although at last they have stopped the huge extended families we are forced to accept, but should never have been allowed in the first place.

@@SnowWhiteArches I came to study in Ireland as a student, ( not a refugee nor applied for asylum )as Ireland is the only English-speaking country in Europe, and the Irish are friendly people in the whole of Europe, I completed my studies from CIT (Munster Technology University) fortunately, I got a job in the education industry and started to teach students. currently, we have 40 Irish teachers teaching in our School and more than 250 students are studying around the world. you can see my videos are especially about studying in Ireland and current situation to keep student and other stake holders aware.
