I always kinda feel Steelbeak"s presence in this show is kind of a set up for the darkwing duck reboot if they go the ducktales cannon route then it'd make since to have Darkwing a rookie hero that's just starting to get respect having helped save the earth in a big way twice and his city once it'd make since to give him a villain that's in a similar situation since alot of the members of FOWL are still kicking they weren't on the plane with the Mcducks and most of them survived their fights so I doubt they'd just drop everything and go home they'll probably regroup and try something else under different leadership which is more then likely gonna be Steelbeak
I agree. There are still things unanswered in the Darkwing Duck side of DuckTales. Gosalyn’s grandfather is still missing and Steelbeak is possibly still at large with his increased intelligence still intact. The same goes for FOWL survivors that their whereabouts are unknown.Hopefully the Darkwing Duck reboot is in the same universe as DuckTales even though the show got a new production team. They should know that it might make more sense for this upcoming reboot is the continuation of DuckTales.

Season one: Scrooge’s past comes back to haunt him Season two: Della’s past comes back to haunt her Season three: Mrs Beakly’s past comes back to haunt her
Lunaris might actually be my favorite of the three villains because of how much of a threat he is. He took out all of Scrooge’s defenses, manipulated everyone him and is pretty much the only Ducktales villain who realized that Scrooge’s greatest strength is his family. Plus Magicia and Bradford’s plans are things that if they succeeded, the world would be able to recover from. Lunaris poses a threat to the entire planet
I agree about the finales. Now my only complaint of “The Last Adventure” is I wish we could’ve had an epilogue. So we could have a little more interactions like one last interaction between Webby, Lena and Violet. (Other than that brief “blink and miss” moment of reconciliation)
I’m pretty sure the arcs get concluded in the penultimate episodes (Dewey learns what happens to his mom, Louie becomes the richest duck in the world and learns humility) except Huey, but season 3 mainly focuses on the missing mysteries. Plus, each of the three episodes before The Last Adventure focuses on completing the triplets. In Beaks in the Shell, Huey learns to keep secrets. In The Lost Cargo of Kit Cloudkicker, Dewey learns to truly pilot and keep a plane level. In The Life and Crimes of Scrooge McDuck, Louie learns to take responsibility for his actions.
22:53 Destroying Bradford's plan by simply using " Proof By Contradiction / _reductio ad absurdum_ " on the Papyrus is one of the greatest moments of Ducktales history.
I do also love how Donald took in May and June for the boat ride and give them a home. Especially considering in canon it’s not the first time he did this. He raised Huey Dewey and Louie on the house boat after then hatching, and they have the family with their mom and Great Uncle Scrooge so they are fine to be left alone there with all the other family and friends they made. However May and June have no home, no place to go to, Donald feels bad (and probably sees his nephews a bit), and decides to give them a home and family, also Donald took care of the triplets for 10 years, he can handle those two for a little while, plus he has Daisy there to help take care of them.
Welcome back and thank u for ranking these finales. I always enjoyed the third one and thought the twist didn’t change anything negatively. Glad I’m not the only one who loves all season finales and the series as a whole equally.
I feel like bradfords childishness, while likely unintentional, is a nice nod to how trauma can keep you in the sort of mindset you were in when it happened. like deep down he's still that scared kid
My guess as to why Donald never spoke in his decipherable voice is because it probably hurts his throat to the point where it feels like it's on fire. Especially for a guy like him. In a desperate attempt to remain sane during his time on the island, I guess he didn't care what happened to his throat at the time.
I loved this show and I’m currently rewatching it. I will miss it more than any animated show I’ve watched this year even more so than Amphibia. Louie is my favorite character even though I relate to Huey the most
I don't know if it's just me, but I always thought; "They rebooted DuckTales, they only gave us three seasons... why not just reboot Quack Pack to?" I'd love to see what the triplets and Webby grow into as teenagers, and how relationships between characters changed in the gap. But, still, could just be me.
If I am being honest, I thought Ducktales would last longer than it did. Even back in 2019, I thought season 3 would premiere on October 2019 or November 2019, not April 2020. Even back in 2019, I didn’t expect the series to end. I thought it would last longer than it did. I mean look at how long SpongeBob has been on TV.
I agree I thought it would last longer too, but Disney has always gone for quality over quantity. I'd prefer 69 (nice) solid episodes to 10 Seasons of mediocre ones.
I honestly loved Lunarus don't get me wrong he's still gets bronze from me (I'm not even gonna pretend he's better then Despell and Bradford) but I found him cool I like his reason for invading is just the typical alien "Were taking earth for ite resources" and that it's entirely a pride thing and I'd argue his army being 99.9% incompetent barely trained idiots makes him scarier the fact he is such an effective leader he managed to take over despite their short comings (granted that's probably me looking to deeply into them but still)
Although I think Moonvasion is the worst DT season finale (although it's still good), I kinda disagree with mainly 2 points you mentioned about it: - Yes, Lunaris' motivation is very vague, but if you think deeper about it, it makes a bit more sense I think. His whole life he saw his father & possibly all of his people, live in fear and not be able to step one foot outside. It's vague how much this actually impacted him, but I can imagine it kinda ruined his childhood & maybe even (mildly) traumatized them. On top of that he also had the foresight of becoming general one day and had to live up to that expectation, while also being in war with a moon mite. So I think there's a bit more to it than just 'wanting to be better', but nonetheless I agree that it's all a bit weak & should've been more clear. But I guess that's the price to pay when you also have Della's return among other big things (like Duck Knight Returns) in the season. I also think Lunaris not really having a personal conflict with Scrooge/the Ducks didn't help. Scrooge is always a big focus in the finales and you felt the history between him and Magica & Bradford. He basically didn't know Lunaris until the finale though, and even though Della did, they didn't focus on that at all either. - I think all the dumbness & deus ex machina-ing is kinda the point of the episode. Especially considering all the source material, stuff could get kinda dumb and random there too, also because the characters are exagarrations and very cartoony. While DT made the characters and world more grounded, in this episode they embraced the randomness of these characters & I kinda like it, as that partially is what these characters are. It also makes the finale feel more unique and works funny with Lunaris smarts I think. Another point: While The Lifes and Crimes of Scrooge McDuck might be one of he most disappointing episodes in the show for, and not the best penultimate one for the concept it had, I think Magicas backstory was more about that Scrooge couldve given her a chance to change, but just walked away. Because I think for storytelling purposes, Magica was actually trying to better herself if Scrooge helped her there. It also gives some new context to Poe, which I like. I do think the over-all execution couldve been beter though, as it was very brief for smth I had been eagerly waiting for. Sorry for the essay lol. Just a few of my opinions stated as short & clear as possible.
My rankings Shadow war - 10 amulets out of 10. Moon invasion 5 spears of selene out of 10 because lunaris is a villain that came out of nowhere and has no connection to the duck family or main cast aside della. The last adventure - 8 magical papyruses out of 10. It suffers from the lack of aftermaths

NOBODY has pointed out that joke until now!!! If I could give you a cookie, I would!

I love the fact that Bradford didn't want to kill Scrooge because he knows McDuck can overcome anything. He knows Scrooge is protected by plot armor.
It makes no sense but he was totally right.

Scrooge knows Beakly well enough to likely know if she had a child, so he would probably questioned how Webby could be her granddaughter if she didn’t

I don’t understand why people think Bradford is that good of a villain
