Thank you George. I have learnt a great deal from this video. You are by far the best teacher on the "net". I appreciate all the time you give so willingly.
Now I understand why it’s necessary to use the polygon tool - it’s basically protecting what u don’t want touched/changed ! Sure changes in the future the way I will use the clone stamp 😮 Another fine one George 😊
thx. excellent tutorial. I have a hard time with the + and the circle. often the + is going where I do not want to copy, like it is far from the circle or to the left or right or top so im always copying stuff not wanted. any way to control for that?
What you need to do is to reset your clone from point several times as needed while doing your cloning. To reset the clone from point just hold the alt key down and click the spot you want to copy from, then let go of the alt ke and you can then use the clone stamp tool to copy onto your image. The + position will always stay the same distance from the clone tool as you clone, so if you are cloning into a large area you will need to reset the clone from area or it may move into an area you don't want copied. I usually do a lot of resetting the clone from spot as I am working on an image. So it is reset, then a little bit of cloning, then reset again and more cloning, then reset again, etc.
No, doesn't need a mouse to do this. If you are using a stylus then make sure that either click lock is on or that you are holding down the button the whole time you are painting.

Thanks Donna! I probably should have put the feathering on the polygonal tool at 1 to help the edges a bit.

Thanks Paul! I really apprciate the super tip!
If you make a mistake placing a point with the Polygonal Lasso Tool, move the pointer on too the previous point and press the Delete Key.
Good tip, also just using the keyboard shortcut ctrl+z also works, that is Undo.

Hi George, I'm doing everything you did but, not working. Do you need to use a mouse to make it work?
