They are the true inspiration. The wife obviously learned French when she was studying abroad, but the husband can speak really good korean and that shows he tries hard. I think it's important to try and be able to communicate with eachother. They care about eachother so much. A true soulmate. Keep up the good work.!!
Really liked this episode. He's such an understanding and positive husband and the wife, while easily annoyed, is still very supportive. They're on the same wavelength with each other and you can tell how much they love each other. Another great thing to see was how supportive and loving her mother is.
i really like how despite them struggling financially, they still manage to pull through and give each other support. i admire the way they chase their dreams! what a beautiful couple~
Not really. It's all a charade and act really. Actually, Arend is a very goal oriented and ambitious master manipulator and parasite. He's just using her until he completes his rather useless master's course. (By using her, he saves a lot of money on rent, room & board, living expenses, incidentals, transportation, etc. She's like a mother with bottomless pockets to him.) Of course, once he gets that degree, he'll be free to return to his homeland and replace her with someone more suitable and more his style, and of course younger and better looking too.
@@gotwa229 lol, do you know this people personally? No? Then STFO dude stop lying XD I have seen you in other comments saying the same bullshit and something tells me that you are racist against Dutch people.
i really liked this episode, it seemed to me like that any obstacle in life could be overcome by 2 people easier than one does. very encouraging to young couple who're struggling to build everything from the zero in life. sometimes i am afraid what if i am stuck in this phase of life, to buy new home, to give my parents pocket money, save up a little bit of extra and at the same time, to learn any new skills arisen in my field. we all need money and i realized that money doesn't come easily in early stage of the career years. but when i have a little glimpse at their life, they're leading their life very confidently, happily and patiently despite the hard situations which gave me hope that i won't be stuck in that phase for a long time.
Yes, of course it's a number...it's also a wager and place holder until he completes his useless master's degree and moves back to Europe where he can find a younger and more suitable wife for himself.
such a sweet couple. anyone can see they have beautiful musical connection and deep understanding of each other. i wish them great musical career together.
They are very much a down to earth modern couple. Choosing career/dream over having a child. It's been 2 years already but I hope they're doing well and best of luck to them.
I think some Korean didn't like a new music with instruments like these couple did and it feels odd for them like me too. But I think it should be a good things to learn a new music from others country and I know that Europe has a lot of old and good instruments since a long time. You should think differently between an instrumentalist and others musician. But I hope they will leave better in future. I like the instruments too, it's really unique. Regards from Indonesia
12:34 because in the netherlands it's not allowed. You have the trash service that picks up big trash like that upon request. Even then, certain parts of Amsterdam have standards days for it so the night before is the perfect time go around the neighbourhoods and check the trash because you can find beautiful old chairs and tables and cabinets etc just standing on the sidewalk.
Just wondering but Netherlanders speak French? They seem to be speaking French while video calling the husband's parents? I did catch the part where they mention the wife studied in France for 14 years so her French must be very good. Just sounds good and awesome to see them communicating so well. Beautiful couple.
호빵맨 most of the Dutch/Nederlanders speak a third language (besides Dutch and English), which is often German or French. learning a third language is mandatory in a lot of schools. His musical background could explain why his parents speak French fluently more or less
They are not French. Obviously, Arend's parents are Dutch, but it is also obvious that Arend's wife doesn't speak Dutch and probably doesn't speak English So what language do they have in common when she spent 15 years studying at a conservatory in France? Of course it's French, and while Arend's parents' French is good, they don't speak it like native speakers, so obviously, French is a foreign language for them, probably, their third or fourth language behind Dutch and English, and even German.
Can someone please tell me where to find that fusion music they showed? The Korean/Baroque style? I really liked it! It sounded so emotional, does it have an official genre name? I want to hear more :(
This is the second husband from the Netherlands that digs through trash to find treasures. And I thought the Dutch stereotype of us being stingy was bullshit... I guess not. :')
I guess the stereotype about the Dutch being quite frugal is true in the case of these 2 Dutch guys. Obviously not everyone is though. In the Netherlands we have a lot of secondhand shops, so it’s perhaps the mentality that furniture what is considered old in Korea and has scratches, is still useful in the view of the Dutch
A multicultural musician couple that can speak each other’s languages 😍 They’re a perfect match
Pinguru I don't think she speaks dutch, I mean, they were speaking french to his family.
yea but still she can communicate with them which is nice :,)
@@FOLIPE his family is french?

두분 다 참 사랑스럽네요. 아내분 성격 너무 좋네요 ㅎㅎㅎ 남편분도 참 자랑하구! 잘 어울리세요
One of the very best TH-cam’s I have seen! Very honest and true to life! No sugar coating!

I like this couple.Age is just a number😊
Nana Tayang i didnt understand anything is the woman older than him or what ?because she look older
+ *Moon Hafy* She´s 8 years older than him. But age is really just a number. ♥
Moon Hafy yes by 8yrs
Yes, of course it's a number...it's also a wager and place holder until he completes his useless master's degree and moves back to Europe where he can find a younger and more suitable wife for himself.

This couple is so refreshing

Loved this episode, however it was such a pity that he’s Dutch but no one spoke any Dutch in the whole episode..

Most dutch people don't speak French. Some high school students get French but only learn the basic (but not all students get French).

At 32:00 they were talking in French, I think because his wife can speak that too so they don't speak Dutch/ Netherlands for the comfort of the wife.
