    Demar’s Raptors beat literally everyone in the East except Lebron’s Cavaliers so I get where Fred’s coming from. It’s interesting to see his perspective. I get the feeling that the team was never too crazy about Kawhi but since they won together they’re cool. Maybe Kawhi sensed that and it influenced his desire to leave.

    • @nyacxris5054
      @nyacxris5054 3 ปีที่แล้ว +125

      tbh the media can say all they want about how Toronto tried to get Kawhi to stay but everyone wanted Kawhi. The fans and Drake tried the most and the players did the bare minimum "let's run it back" type shi is probably all they said. Kawhi and some NBA fans could sense that they would've rathered lose in the Conference Finals or Finals with Derozan than win with Kawhi...maybe not in the moment but in the aftermath for sure

    There is no bigger slap in the face than being traded or seeing your guy be traded for someone who doesn't even want to be there. Having said that, it's hard to argue the decision when you win a ring...even if it took LBJ leaving and damn near everyone on GSW being injured. Before anyone comes at me, I had that same energy when GSW won their first ring.

They would’ve lost to philly in 5-6 and even if they got past philly they wouldn’t have beaten the bucks because kawhi was important in guarding giannis and helping the wall to stop giannis, and even if the raptors got past the bucks the warriors even injured beat the raptors. Masai is a smart man and understand the chance he was taking, it worked out so no one can question his choice and even if it didn’t kawhi is way better option then demar.

    DeMar wasn’t the problem for them to reach the finals, LeBron and the Cavs were. With LeBron in the West the Raptors would’ve made the NBA Finals, but they would’ve lost against the Warriors. Therefore getting Kawhi and Green was necessary in order to win, since these two had already experienced that level of pressure. Sorry for DeMar though.
