Music video by Weezer performing In The Garage. (C) 1994 Geffen Records Inc.
In the final chorus when Rivers is singing "No one hears me" it's so powerful... I love it.

when Rivers flutters his voice with "no one cares about my wayYYYs", play that part over & over
The blue album owns
1serious0mfr - It was *_the_* album one summer in high school when it came out... such good memories from this album :)
Amen
I have about 20 LPs in frames on my living room walls as decoration
One of them is the blue album
AMAAAAZING
Certainly does.
theres something so adorable about a nerdy rivers shredding the fuck out the strat
This is probably in my top 10 favorite songs of all time.
This the first time I ever heard someone proudly singing about being a nerd. X-Men and D&D references in the first verse on a dope ass track like this flipped a switch in my brain that let me know it was okay to be myself and be proud of who I am.
Many years later and all that nerdy shit is now considered cool.
BORICUA
This record will always remind me of being a kid in the summer time. Heart broken over girls but having the best time of my life with my friends at the same time. Very nostalgic.
Perfectly describes my life rn

‘94 Rivers will always be the coolest person to ever exist.
And ‘96 rivers is the most akward person to ever exist
@@o0oibbytoonsgaming75 '01 Rivers will always be the most slightly depressed person to ever exist.
well his guitar was cool for sure.
Brian's guitar tone in this performance is gnarly
My best friend of 30 years passed away from an overdose yesterday, this is for J.M. love ya man, In the garage. ☮️😢💜
The thing I love about this song is how personal it seems through the lyrics like the garage is this sacred place where the lead singer can be himself completely without judgement. But how we can all connect to this need, this want for a space to be able to be ourselves. I think that’s why this is my favorite song by Weezer. It encapsulates this feeling and let’s us express our need for our own space through music even if we don’t have that space. We can sing along and share that space with them
I’m thirteen and Weezer Blue Album and Pinkerton was the reason I started playing guitar and now bass
Thanks Rivers, Brian, Patrick, and especially OG Rock Weezer’s core Matthew Sharp
His voice have gotten better over time, and I love the fact that the camera man films everyone but him while he's soloing.
I love Matt's fills in the beginning there. Wish that was on the studio version.
Was just thinking that
That was Brian’s Fills
@Regular Guy Better late than never. I got the message and it wasn't even meant for me!
@@JRiggidy huh? I'm referring to the bass fills right at the beginning. That's clearly Matt
@Verycoolgun 8 years late and wrong. That's the bass I'm referring to.
I love how he gives props to Ace and Peter, and in a way gives the finger to Gene and Paul.
I think it's because Peter Chris rhymes with kiss
Gene probably contacted him for royalties after hearing them being mentioned in this lol
Kiss is the band that got rivers into music
This song is a call to genuineness & honesty
This is one album I cannot live without!! I still have my original CD I bought from Sam goody 94
Brian’s Melody Maker is truly a beautiful guitar, and this is the best video to hear it in all its glory.
This song hits so much better in the live mixes, the transition into the guitar solo and the solo itself is so much better than the album version.
One of most underrated bands.
Not really, they're crazy popular.
Luke They're crazy popular, but people don't seem to appreciate their musicianship much
I think they prefer to stay on the down
I mean, not really, because they literally had a song in Windows 95's ROM
@@jackmalcic2949
Probably because they really haven’t done anything matching the quality of their first 2 albums a quarter century ago
This is my favorite song of weezer
Awwww!!! I just saw 'Voyage to the Blue Planet' last night and this song keeps getting better each year.
What everybody needed after Nirvana..,
we all still need this after nirvana my man
theyre completely different bands
Lisa R you can hear the influence from them
some of the first songs they performed were actually nirvana covers
i dont agree. i feel that theyre very different
Weezer was originally, whether you like to believe it or not, supposed to be a hair metal group, but as soon as Nirvana hit the spotlight, they became an alternative rock band inspired by Kurt Cobain, Dave Grohl, and Krist Novoselic :3
You're right on the mark. They put a lot into their music; just 'cos Rivers isn't writing lyrics like he did on Pinkerton doesn't mean he's got no emotion, but rather that he's more or less grown up. You can't really expect someone, who is married and in their 40's, to keep writing songs about having his heartbroken or being insecure. Musically bands/people change. Heck, if you listen to Weezer's demos pre-blue album, they sound very different. Saw 'em too, they rocked even in the pouring rain!
I can relate so much. When I'm sad I just want to be isolated alone in the dark. I want to feel like I have time to process whatever I'm going through in private.
Lisa R I go in my garage
I don't have a garage ;___;
Lisa R oh. Basement?
Don't have one. #ApartmentLife
That “yeah!” is biblical
He even moves like Kurt somewhat when he plays. Can't believe some people can't see the major influence
I think it's pretty much universally known and accepted that Kurdt is a massive influence for Rivs.
soooo good! amazing performance, so much energy
This looks like it's being filmed in a garage :)
What a meme /\
You can't tell me there's a better performance of this song than this.
Are there any more videos from this performance? Most live 90s Weezer are low quality. The quality on this one is amazing. Love Rivers' blue strat!
Geffen have these in a locked box or something, when they need money they will release it for an anniversary of something..
DYK the blue strat is made out of warmoth parts? I thought it was a cool fact
@@DrummingMoose Rivers loves him some warmoth neck.
Here in my garage
This should be best comment.
Saw them tonight as much as i wanted to hear this one they rode the wave of amazing for a few hours and were incredible. Still had to hear it so here i am and this did not disappoint
I watched this video immediately after seeing them live because I wished they played this song 🥲
It's funny they're not the most proficient musos but it kinda acts as a moral to the story of this song that nothing can touch you in your hiding place if you will. This song really reflects me.
I love his voice at this period
Damn this rocks! This album, this band had so much impact on me. I want to say blue was the best, but I like even the less appreciated ones.
This was pretty much my childhood anthem.
+That Really Shitty Hiss-Poster I wouldn't know, he's dead.

WTF how did this video get by my years of TH-cam rabbit holes! Man, this is transporting me back to my young man life, when rock came out of the shitty pop swamp and was reborn with all these great bands, Weezer being one of the better ones. Spent most of the 70's with a bowl cut, then to see a rock star with talent come forth..........he understood me LOL.
Hard to believe that was 30 years ago 🥲🤟
I don’t know what it is about Rivers that makes him so cute.
- madeleine - i know right ??
brian's tone in this video is insane, probably cause he had a seymour duncan hot rail in his the sg melody maker which is really high output, whish they would've stuck with pickups like that
This song while playing The witcher 3 it's a whole new and beautiful experience
I miss that game so much 😭
Weezer definitely took a lot of inspiration from The Beach Boys and I always felt like this was their In My Room
Bowl Cut Weezer is youth!!

Love the bassline... and the power of that Randall kicking in.. booyah!
Such a kick ass performance.
I've got Ace Frehley, I've got Peter Criss waiting there for me, yes I do... I do.
This is the song that made me realize Weezer had some talent in 1994.
Oh yeah I jammed my death metal in the garage plenty of times too way after this song happened 🤘🏻🤬🎸🎼🎛🔉🎵🎚🔊🎶
They look like eight-year-olds in this! Wow, they have changed....IT HAS BEEN 15 years....:)

God look at that bowl cut, its beautiful

He has said since then that he likes it:
"Pinkerton's great. It's super-deep, brave, and authentic."

that bass sounded awesome.
Yep, really loved their harmonies back then.

Best songs ever!
the most beautiful song by weezer that I've ever listened to:)
Memories make me want to go back there
I bet those fat cats at Geffen have a TON of unreleased footage like this. If so, release every last bit of it.
You'd be suprised of what geffen knows, and has locked up. Conspiracy level shit. One day it'll all come out.
one of my favorite ska bands, Madness has a ton of unreleased stuff because of geffen being fat cat corporate cash cows
But maybe "one day" will be too late
@@spartan876 How do you know? What do you know and why?
It sucks that there's probably a lot of stuff we will never see since apparently some of their material got destroyed in the 2008 Universal Studios fire
I heard kurt cobain screaming at 2:11 :')
Sebastian1997 I mean, Rivers was very influenced by Nirvana and Kurt Cobain in general after Rivers’s glam metal phase.
@joseph germaine i love u and ur comment good sir
Attention Weezerites,
Go watch the video for photograph. That song is awesome, and nobody seems to appreciate it. Also, tell everybody else to watch it. And no, weezer's last 6 (7?) albums don't suck.
Those were the days!
Hell yeah, I love weezer!!!

blue album is the best album ever made
If I could be any frontman, I would be rivers. So cool.
