Just Clarify By saying ONLY Nintendo Switch. Im avoiding All Mew Events and Transfers from previous consoles since Pokémon Bank is closing down and many new Pokémon players haven't touched a 3DS. Most people have phones for Pokemon GO. Thats probably how you are watching this video.
Actually you can’t get Mew through research rewards in Pokémon Go anymore, they took that out a few years ago.

Fun fact the BDSP method for mew and jirachi is actually infinite as if you reset the save file after taking out the mew you can keep going to that point and have infinite mews and jirachis, it’s just gonna take a while lol😂

Yeah, definitely underplayed how long it takes. The "Catch a Ditto" task has been a sticking point for me for the last 2 months and a play pretty avidly

I mean how is the BDSP one have nothing to do with the switch? Technically you just need two mainline..ish games.
If the Pokéball is secondhand there’s a chance that somebody has already claimed the Mew. If so you will be unable to claim it yourself
This. Every Pokeball Plus only comes with one Mew in it. Once this Mew is claimed, there's no way to get another. Used Pokeball Plus almost certainly will have had the Mew claimed unless someone just bought it to use with Go for some reason.

3. Buy two games and progress enough in one of them to interact with an npc

Crazy how Mew went from unobtainable to being able to get one in every game
The second option does not work as you cannot send Mew into the other games unless it has already been registered in said games saved files with a previous event Mew. I tried and now my Pokémon Go Mew is trapped in Pokémon Home.
From what I understand, the Poké Ball Plus only grants a Mew from the first use. (And, they've all have been bought and more than likely used, already.) Maybe, I'm wrong, but that's what everyone has been saying online.
The BDSP option... Well, I've got to get a version, so I can try.
I've been dying to get a Mew in the mainstream games, but it's always a struggle. (I hope they bring back the shiny Mew event.)
There's also a code active right now that gives you a mew with a random tera type on Scarlet and Violet

I love how two of these three switch only options require something that isn’t a switch
Having had done all 3 methods, you definitely left out crucial information about the PoGo mythical transfers. And as everyone else has pointed out the Pokeball, plus it is not around 90 at all I went to buy a 2nd one and the average is like 160 minimum if you find one with mew in it.
if not mistaken it must be new untouched Pokeball+ in order to get mew. we might not receive the mew if buying secondhand pokeball+ because the mew might already been redeemed.

@@TagforceGamer I don't believe that is the case as you had to go into the menu and specifically take out/redeem the mew as it was also in there as the Pokeball + is an auto cather for PoGo but you need a pokemon in it. So automatically losing Mew would suck big time

The research in pogo requires you to catch a ditto, which is LITERALLY IMPOSSIBLE.

The *few research tasks* in Pokémon go is actually a masterwork research which takes over a year to complete
You can also just transfer Mew out of the poke’ball and straight into Sword/Shield if you saved it and didn’t put it into Let’s go Pikachu.
Or buy 2 pokeballs so I have a mew in each lol. But I also bought when they were new $50, and second clearance $25 and use them for Pokémon Go as well, so worth the money spent beyond the 2 mews
You can actually get a shiny mew in go as well, but it takes a long time
You can also get a Mew in BDSP from an old lady in Floroma Town by having Let's Go (can be either Pikachu or Eevee) save data on your Switch. The more you know

The pokemon go research isn't cheap and takes ages to complete. Stage 1 requires you to complete the kanto dex, which requires you to go to amaerica, Australia and really anywhere in Europe to get tauros, khangaskan and Mr mime
Fun fact, no matter how often you restart diamdn and pearl, you will always get the new and Jirachi, so go get full boxxes of em

You can. You have to enable Legendary transferring in the settings first and have enough charge.

A few research tasks in Pokémon go don’t mind the fact that you have to walk almost 400 km to evolve a magicarp if you have no candy
There was also a limited research for Pokémon Go during the Kanto Tour event, if you paid for a ticket you got a research story line that when completed rewarded you with Shiny Mew ✨. But if you don’t play Pokémon go that much it would be very challenging to complete, I mean one of the tasks was to reach level 40.

Fun fact: if you talk to the old guy in floroma town in BDSP and you have a copy of sword/shield, he’ll give you something even better. A jirachi. You may be wondering oh so naive reader, “how is jirachi better than mew? Mew can learn every move” if relating to matchups, then mew’s pure psychic type is wholly inferior to jirachi’s steel psychic combo. Mew has 3 weaknesses and 2 resistances. Jirachi has 4 weaknesses, an immunity and *9* resistances. Jirachi and other steel psychic types (Metagross, bronzong, solgaleo, dusk mane necrozma) all resist HALF of all Pokémon types.
Now Mew is easier to get than any version exclusive.
The 4th would be to use an event Mew from the Yellow....
You can also claim new in sword and shield in the same way that you do let’s go pickachu and evee.

One reasearch task requires you to evolve a Magikarp and it takes 400 candies and you only get 3 from catching a magikarp and 1 from walking with it as your buddy for 1km

For those willing to reach start their switch losing all their pokémon data My back it up to a different switch if you do if you use the clone method in the first version of diamond and Pearl and redeem the mew and jirachi cologne and then clone it in the method you can then get them unlocked you don't have to keep them there anymore
It’s not a few tasks in GO. It’s like 36 or something and a lot are really hard for newcomers.

Getting mew in the new games, and the remakes of the older games: just do all these tasks, and you can receive it. Or you can get it in different games, and then transfer.
Getting mew in ORAS: put a legendary mon, or a mon that's popular, in the GTS (rip sweet prince). And wait a few days. Or do wonder trade and hope for the best. If there's another way you can get it in game, lmk. I already have 2 shiny mews in oras. But seriously, would love to know an easier way if there is one.
The problem with the Pokemon Go one is that (I THINK) you can't get that research anymore. I got it a few years ago, and didn't even know it gave mew
