- Sniper Rifles are one of those things in NERF that rarely are done well, which is a shame because they're one of the most desirable types of blasters from a sheer-looks standpoint. Thankfully, with video game tie-ins come new blasters and this one is a squashed down L96 from Fortnite! It's ergos are.. alright. It's velocity is... 'kay. Let's face it: you're getting this blaster only if you want an L96 on the cheap, no other reason. It's serviceable but far from perfect.

i just discovered this channel and the entire concept of nerf mods/wars. as a former menber of the french military forces i'd be more than happy to take part in nerf wars and stuff but sadly this doesn't seem to exist in my country

NERF is pretty big, there has to be something. I know the UK has a pretty big scene, and Germany too. And hey, if it don't exist, make it exist! There's bound to be a few hundred people just like you. If not, and you still have the drive, there's tons of events in the US hopefully in 2021 that will tickle your fancy.

This just SCREAMS RaptorStrike and LongStrike to me, with the Angled mag and position of the mag release of the RaptorStrike and the shape and connection of the stock

Taking the package off the shelf, slapping a shipping label on it, and putting into the mail system is terrible. Thank god it wasn't something that I didn't want people knowing I bought.

They could very well have fit a dart storage/mag storage in that stock plate.

When I watched Coop772's review on the blaster, he mentioned that the magazine compatibility issue might have to do with the rear part of the magwell (the part of the magwell that's closer to the trigger) being a bit too big. So assuming that that is the case, trimming the rear part of the magwell would probably fix the issue
for the true fortnite experiance using it, only load 1 dart into the mag
I'll buy it for the aesthetic but I'll tear its guts out first to fix the issues, then add a 16kg spring if compatible, brass and SCAR barrel it.
Amazon has done the same thing for me too. Slapped a shipping label on my box of trash bags and sent it. Granted it was trash bags, but still.

I’m glad I’m not alone on this! I purchased the Infinus from them and the box looked like Ace Ventura played soccer with it. Also I just wanted to say, Walcom that I’m still happy that you mentioned me in a post a few months back! I’m NeetoMeskito. Did wonders for my depression.

I've actually got one of these & the only problem I've got with this is the fact that the un-jaming thing is literally right under the scope so to un-jam it you gotta take the scope off or the lil hatch won't open up properly, apart from that it's a really awesome Sniper Rifle Blaster
Same I kind of had a similar experience with one of the x-shot guns, the max attack specifically. The jam door was under the prime so once it primed it wouldn't slide back so when it jammed the door wouldn't be accessible. There was a jam fix button though that let me slide it back but geez, I think it's kinda redundant if the prime blocks the Jam door. You could've just put it on the side but it does need to look nice so I get it. This was more of a I'm stupid moment for me
Now I kinda feel good about living out of America. Usually shipping to where I am is high quality because the stores get stuff here great and clean. Still,great video Walcom! Stay safe!
To explain the mag compatibility issues, the shell slopes downward slightly towards the back of the magwell, so any mag that has a protrusion on it (ie that weird thing on the back of 18s) won't fit in the blaster. You'd think they would've tested that
I personally only go to Walmart when all other options are exhausted. My brother is but one of many people who used to be an employee, got a serious injury working there, and had to fight tooth and nail to get the OSHA required workers comp given how even his boss admitted it was because my brother was told to do something everyone else knew was dumb.
Absolutely EVERYTHING Walmart does is criminal, and they do not deserve any business.
The lower part of the mag well is to low for the bump on some magazines. Nerf tapered it to look like the game model. As a result you can’t use all magazines. This is why other blasters have flat mag wells. Also the reason the Recon Mk2 got a revision.
Did you know the blaster doesn’t work with 18 round magazine, 35 and 50 round drum?

It doesn't fit properly- the shape of the blaster stops certain mags from seating in the magwell properly, i think coop mentioned it in his review?
Just got given one of these by my buddy, it seats my 35 round Raider mag like butter 🤷♂️
So far I've watched 3 videos on this and it's coops yours and just a jolts and I love them all and I think this is the only footnote gun I'd get
Linda Firlik || Yeah, I'm really not a fan of Fortnite and it's aesthetic, but this one isn't half bad. The only fortnite blaster I'd ever get is the SCAR clone, because with some minimizing and some paint, the general shape works very well for a Bolter copy (Warhammer 40k)

The mag incompatiblity issue can be fixed by Dremeling or cutting off the slanted bit in the mag retaining piece
Love the right handed use of the bolt, my guy. Left handing nerf bolts bugs me for some reason, probably because it’s the left side, and that’s not where bolts go. Also, RIP the box.
Its nit the long barrel that causes the issue with wafflehead darts. Its actually the breech design. A small gap between the end of the breech and the end of the magazine allows the wide rubbery heads of the wafflehead darts to get pushed up against the dart in the breech, causing friction and frequently a failure to fire. Ive had this same problem with my modulus mediator.

You can connect a rubber band to the bolt and stock to make the bottle auto return forward

im buying a roughcut just to do the oppisite of your 2 shot tuesdays, by slapping a scope on it and using it as a rifle backup when my modulus longstrike jams or i run out of darts for it.

Best Buy shipped my Nemesis the same way. Just slapped a label on the retail package and shipped it. Has a couple of small cracks in the hopper, so I called and complained. It was on clearance for $50 and sold out so they couldn't replace it, so they gave me a $25 gift card. So in the end, my Nemesis really only cost me $25 so I can't complain too much.
Can I put that Sling swivels on that rifle to have a sling mount?? I hate blasters without slingmounts :(
Damn dude that shipping really sucks. What’s funny is that now I guess Walmart learned their lesson because I recently ordered the Adventure Force Villainator from Walmart.com and the box it came in was the size of a mini fridge!!!! Went a bit overkill with the packing but at least it was safe. Lol

You can indeed one-shot someone that has 100 health/shields with a legendary sniper, if you hit a headshot.

for some reason walcom & coops basrl don't work with 18 round stick magazines, but mine does... weird
The bolt handles are REALLY flimsy though. Mine are always falling off when i prime the blaster.
This is very good blaster!
It has a nice look, and slamfire. But the functionality issues make it a no go for me.

This could have been a great reason for Hasbro to make Fortnite themed accustrike darts, but I guess not.
I have the same problem with my tri-strike, it just wont work with accustrike or wafflehead darts. It is because it catches on the bottom of the barrel.
Makes me happy that isn’t just me, it chambers but I need to press the in-jam, take out the mag, Re-prime it, then fire.
All my mag fed springers have that issue

The combination of the dart and magazine compatibility issues make it a total no-go for me. Neat look to it, though. I don't play Fortnite but can certainly say that the aesthetic was a made match for Nerf.
Something that I didn't really come up in the video enough was that I'm not worried about such things personally because it's such minor problems to mod and fix, which hurts more of the normie NERFer but it also didn't come out right in the video. Same with the, "inaccuracy". I know it's a Retaliator-style kind of thing, so I know the internals for the most part are, "fine"; but for somebody not wanting to mod it that might also be a deal breaker.

My only disappointment is that it’s not real up-back-forward-down bolt action. I don’t even care if it can’t take all mags
I mean this looks like an actual awp or to uk blokes the call it the awm, but nerf got the bolt wrong, we expect like the nerf ultra 7 bolt action style, but we got the standard i suck nerf elite darts bolt action style, would prefer the nerf ultra 7, but switch the cheeto dart with the normal black darts
I just want get one to paint up all the yellow into that olive drab that L96s usually have. Probably sand down the Fortnite logo while I'm at it.

@@karimoloanimolo1247 I actually pulled it off and gave it sort of a post-apoc look last year, but I'm expecting to repaint it soon. Green got a bit scratched up so I'm either going for a desert tan or another layer of green.

just remove the screws in the barrel, futz with the endcap a bit and remove it and you can just pull the thing right out

Edit: Y’know, if it didn’t have problems with the Adventure Force waffles, it would work because if you modded it with a more powerful spring, you could make it a pretty decent sniper.

The spring is not tapered at all. Regular retaliator springs should fit.
