To begin with, let me explain the two reasons why the hiring manager will ask you the question, what are your strengths and weaknesses? Please take notes…
Reason #1 why they will ask you what your strengths and weaknesses are is because they want to assess if your strengths are going to add value to the company. The company will pay you a salary each month and they want to make sure they will get a good return from that salary. That is why your strengths must stand out from the other candidates.
Reason #2 why the hiring manager will ask you the question, what are your strengths and weaknesses, is because they want to hire someone who is self-aware and prepared to continually improve. If you don’t know what your weaknesses are, or you say you don’t have any weaknesses, the hiring manager will see you as someone who isn’t prepared to grow professionally or accept feedback.

Man, if an applicant would talk to me like this I would not hire him. The text sounds like AI, not a human conversation. I would definitely not trust this guy in a real situation. On the other hand, asking for weaknesses from a new hire is stupid, I do know he will have some, but I do not base the success on his weaknesses. That is why there are systems and a manager to handle such risks. A human conversation during the interview will give a pretty good picture of anybodiy's capabilities, no need to go Gestapo style. The vid is still useful because companies do incredibly stupid interviews.

I don’t agree with that statement. We analyse their personal experience and what they have to say about themselves , if you provide great feedback about yourself that means you are totally confident ! so I think his recommendation is really valuable and his strategies to answer these questions are definitely to be taken into consideration for any type of interview.

@@lizzieliverpool sorry I have realised that British talk like this probably because of school indoctrination. The content and the style both are absolutely strange amongst normal humans. I still find the vid interesting, useful to know and will avoid any similarities in the real life. By the way in my culture we respect working people on the worksite as much as in the President's Office. Maybe more. Working women included, regardless of the location.
