I used Hydrochloric acid in science classes when I was 11 yrs old, it wouldn’t do much to stop a determined shooter, besides irritating the skin and eyes if you managed to splash it accurately. Realistically speaking if you’re close enough to throw acid onto him, then you’re definitely close enough for him to accurately unload 9mm rounds into your body. I’d of thought you’d say Hydrofluoric acid, I’m no scientist but isn’t that the one criminals use in acid attacks or to torture people, meaning that would stand a better chance of incapacitating the gunman in quick succession, as it can melt straight though skin and bone in a matter of seconds.
Wrong, sulfuric acid is the one that will cause the most damage if thrown onto a person at any given time. It is sold, 99% of the time as a 95% concentrate or more. You don't work in a lab lmao
Work in a lab myself and yes our cold room doors have multiple layers of thick glass to help insulate the room, but I highly doubt it would resist a bullet, let alone multiple point blank impacts. IRL she'd be dead, otherwise what a tense scene. Really well done.
There are multiple things that can factor into why it didn't penetrate. What caliber was he using? What ammunition type was he using? How good is the quality of the ammunition along with how much grain is there. Not to mention the fact he was also shooting at an angle which makes it much harder for the bullet to penetrate. Angles make objects thicker than they are supposed to be. Maybe the glass they use is different. Facts aren't clear. Sure, it's just a movie but there are things to consider rather than just saying, "this doesn't work."
Zeljko Ivanek plays his part very well, the creepy, unemotional approach to his given assignment. Spot him in Madam Secretary too, he still looks creepy.
Would you? No, really, would you? The only way to be sure is if you already went through a similar situation. I'd like to think I would keep a cool head and take advantage of any chances but I can't be sure until it really happens.
@@moteroargentino7944 Great question. Many years ago, I got caught in a really bad thunderstorm on the highway. The rain was coming down so hard that I had to pull off to the side of the road. Before I knew it, a tornado was coming across the road and almost bearing down on me. Without thinking, my first reaction was to back away, and fortunately or unfortunately I backed into a ditch. Thankfully I was fine, and my car wasn't damaged. *But I learned that it's VERY EASY to criticize how ppl react in a crazy situation in a movie until you've actually been in a crazy, unthinkable situation yourself.* Ppl think you have time to think things through. But no, when your life is on the line and you're facing imminent death, you can't really predict how you'll act in most situations.
You ever been shot? Okay stfu then. I was shot twice in the arm and upper trap and didn't feel it until a min or two after due to the Adrenaline spike.
Do you think the shooter listened to Jay Z before the shooting to amp himself up prior to the action? He’s mad as Hell. I can imagine him speeding and listening to rap music on his way over here
Luckily, the people closest to the shooter in the shooting I was in, instinctively reacted very fast (fight response). Everyone else ran or hid. The way people reacted was all over the place.
Hate to say it but in a mass shooting in a close space hiding is pointless. You're making yourself a sitting duck or risking your life on pity from the shooter. Literally everyone has to rush the shooter and attack. Her knocking him down and leaving him with the weapon to go hide under a desk again is insane. Plot armor kept her alive...
Shooter several seconds to reload. Considering the guy's inability to move faster than the speed of a sloth, I'd say these lab workers should've charged the guy while he was reloading.
most people tend to freeze in real life. or freak out. only sociopaths or the really well trained fare well. ironically, sociopaths are somehow viewed as defective in non emergency situations.
@@RPhTom Not true, most people have a survival instinct that makes very calculated rational decisions fast. No matter how tough. Only in the movies is everyone coward. Movies are a form of conditioning behavior and expectations of other people's behavior. Real life is so very different.

This Feels So Damn Real. A very well directed scene. No background music makes it even more realistic.
Didnt saw the movie but why does he shoots everyone?
2:38 old guys reloads but drops his gun and falls to the ground. *Proceeds to hide again*
It's better that she didn't breed anyway lol.
This is the most realistic shooting scene I have ever watched, very eery.
Dude reloaded with an empty mag.
This movie was not at all a good Bourne movie but damn this scene was perfectly done.
+JUKE ON YO GRAVE Lol I noticed you stated that multiple times. How so?
+JUKE ON YO GRAVE?

He takes the award for the slowest and most calm shooter ever.
😂Just imagine dedicating your life on studying science and finally getting a good scientist job just to get FIRED.😂
0:02 I always laugh at this part.
When the science teacher catches you mixing water with salt
Her tight hairstyle is actually suiting the situation and scene inside laboratory..... Perfect
This scene is so real that make audiences can't breath
This movie specifically opens up many new theories lol.Jason Bourne, Aaron Cross, Treadstone, The Moon Knight Guy in the Cabin etc.
If this ever happened to me... I’d try to bludgeon the dude when he reloaded, but probably still just get shot.
This is why I always refill the coffee machine at work.
Regular monday in America
Mattias Berggren not funny at all I've heard this joke like at lest more than 100 times.
Mattias Berggren yup
@@pugassassin5591 doesn't mean everyone else has, like me
hatchhyjack well u must not often watch videos like this and if u do. I'm shocked

💊💵
i expected to hear "put the weapon down" but the dude just said "stop stop stop" lmao
Zeljko Ivanek plays his part very well, the creepy, unemotional approach to his given assignment. Spot him in Madam Secretary too, he still looks creepy.
And this is why the security guard should have a full access key card
I like how they don't charge him when he stops to reload. And she doesn't attempt to grab the gun when she knocks it out of his hand.
She did what probably 90% of people would do, is......RUUUUUNNNNNNNN!!!!! You donut!
Remember that its always faster to switch to your side arm rather than reload
This scene rattled me. Felt so real.
Omg, expressions and frustrations on his face..
I remembered watching this scene for the first time, i was terrified. What a good movie!
If you cannot defend. If you cannot retreat. You must attack.
To me this is one of the most easy to hate but great characters I‘ve ever seen in a movie..
Well, Don't throw anything at him or turn off the lights, just freeze and cry.... this guy need's to aim!
Didn't know every window in a lab is made from bullet resistant glass
This kind of use is more to protect from explosions that can happen in the lab
Looked a storage room so they prob beefed it up cause of dangerous or secret chemicals so they could lock it
Scary cos it was all very slow and methodical. Added to the tension. Love this movie despite the low ratings.
0:28 so the scientist with two bullet holes on his back screams as loud as he can. Like what?!?!
Yes, I saw that too. Everyone is loving how realistic the scene was and yet this detail is beyond explanation.
Adrenaline
You ever been shot? Okay stfu then. I was shot twice in the arm and upper trap and didn't feel it until a min or two after due to the Adrenaline spike.
So you''re telling me that the SECURITY GUARD doesn't have an override key or something? Come on
Disturbing scene it was played so well, so damn realistic
Do you think the shooter listened to Jay Z before the shooting to amp himself up prior to the action? He’s mad as Hell. I can imagine him speeding and listening to rap music on his way over here
No love lost no love found😔 if only could people understand the cry of these individuals.
😂😂😂😂😈😈😈
gordon freeman when he types sv_cheats 1 and impulse 101 in anomalous materials
I have learnt one thing today , If a guy suddenly starts shooting everyone , just run don't try to make a conversation....... Just fly 🌪️
Why does this lab has the most relaxing alarm tone 😂😂😂😂
Luckily, the people closest to the shooter in the shooting I was in, instinctively reacted very fast (fight response). Everyone else ran or hid. The way people reacted was all over the place.
Zeljko Ivanek looks perfect for a bad guy in spy movies
Cordell? Cordell? CORDELL!! CORDEEEEEEEEELLLLLL!!!!!
Thanks drill instructor. I'm sure you would've fared just fine in a real life situation. >_>
most people tend to freeze in real life. or freak out. only sociopaths or the really well trained fare well. ironically, sociopaths are somehow viewed as defective in non emergency situations.

@@RPhTom Not true, most people have a survival instinct that makes very calculated rational decisions fast. No matter how tough.
Only in the movies is everyone coward. Movies are a form of conditioning behavior and expectations of other people's behavior.
Real life is so very different.
Onlooker paradox
seriously, man, the shooter is only 1 old man and nobody tries to knock him.
He had a gun
This scene gave me such a start when I saw it in theatres.
Magnificent 🔥🔥🔥
A doctor with a gun
A soldier with a medikit 🤔🤔🤔🤔
Respect to the actors who died in sake of realistic reaction
Meh
You see kids. Brains are not enough. You need to be a pretty scientist to survive.
If people usually have guns, I need to have them as well.
My dad was watching this one day and this scene came up, I was like 6 and I terrified me so much
I strongly feel that (THE BOURNE LEGACY) should be made into a show series.
Ducking youtube recommend after 5years😁
The unrealistic part is that nobody had a fight response
He didn’t go for the camera guy not once 😂
This is the guy that brought a gun to the hospital in 'House MD' right? I can see where he gets that habit from...
I think it was Elias Koteas.
I remember when they showed us this in high school... 💀
Whole generations get to have flashbacks to school drills watching this scene. 'Murica.

How much ammo do you want for the gun
Him : Yes
Shot through the heart and still managed to live long enough to commit suicide.
I think it was a lung shot not a heart shot.
source?
I had a ROTC instructor who had been a Green Beret special forces combatant in Vietnam. He said that HE was taught that 'when stuck in an ambush and facing IMMINENT DEATH there was only one course of action.. turn into the fire and ATTACK!!' 😡
