me bcs i always say london is overhyped (im from south east asia) and people in my country love it there. Till i finally went there on march… now we’re going there every year on winter and god i love london idc what the locals think about it i love it there.

I will die on this hill; Christmas tree ornaments are one of the BEST souvenirs ever. Because even if they are “cringe” or obnoxious it’s Christmas time, that’s the vibes. Plus you don’t have to commit to having it out for more then on average 1 month a year. And each year when you pull out each ornament you are reminded of the places you have gone, and the people you met. Plus at most touristy places they are super easy to find.
I AGREEEE Christmas is about being a little cringe and obnoxious. It’s about the JOY. I will continue purchasing ornaments as souvenirs I want my tree to MEAN SOMETHING TO ME
This breaks and heals my soul at the same time. God, I love London, especially around Christmas!

Next time you’re in the UK I recommend Oxford or Birmingham, both have amazing Christmas markets and aren’t too expensive to stay in. Birmingham has a world-famous German Christmas Market and is a short train away from London centre!

All the bars and restaurants around Borough Market stay open so even if you miss the food stalls you can enjoy that area. I bloody love it there. I try and cycle up there to counteract the food I hoover up 😁
