When I travelled from working on sailboats in the Canary Islands to Manchester with a man named Andy, was originally from Cumbria and who was a trawler seaman and busker. It was 1998 and Andy I travelled around England and the Isle of Man for TT and spent some great times together. Andy played harmonica and guitar very well and he learned this song especially, it was always my favourite- and some other “road apples” tunes. This album was like having a big piece of Canadiana with me and it was beautiful to have it busked all across Europe “live” before the Hip were even known outside of Canada.
