So I don’t blame him. He was miserable for years. I hope he will be very happy since he paid his dues sticking by the mentally ill and sick wife. oh, and they met in their church, not on some stupid dating site.

That happened to me once. The fellow was on an oil rig and there was a terrible accident leaving one man dead. Because it was one of his team he was going to pay for the funeral. He was apparently very ricb but had no access to his funds on the rig. He called me very early in the morning and wanted me to go to Western Union the next day. I told him I was broke and thinking maybe he could help me out. I never heard from him again.😂

I feel sorry for her daughter because she had to drag her mother to Dr. Phil’s in order to have her believe that she was being scammed. These sharks are only after widows and vulnerable women to get big bucks from them, not love or company. Same thing happened to my mother’s best friend, divorced in her 60’s and very lonely. She thought the guy was Canadian and he was going to marry her. My husband and I had to tell her straight up that she was being had by an African guy.
The minute a man you are talking to on the Internet asks you for money you have to run away as soon as you can and block him, otherwise you might never get rid of him.
These fragile hearted ladies out there, open your eyes and be aware of the situation. It’s more common than you think, and it could happen to you. Take care of yourselves. If you’re feeling too lonely in life, try to get a cat or a dog they will make a big difference in your life and they won’t ask for thousands of dollars in order to give you all the attention and company that you deserve.
As we speak..I have a scammer messaging me..He stated that He's a General on a US mission in Syria..and that He's the Commanding Officer..we been chatting since Monday ..and it's only Sunday and He already asking me to marry Him and wants my account bank number and he claimed that the military is going to send me a check becaused he said that He has a huge amount of money coming but need a bank account becaused he said He named me as his Fiance..so therefore He needs my account number for the check to be deposit..and that I could have some of the money but need to sent him the rest so that he can devide the left over money to his personel...I BLOCKED THE SOB..

This happens to many women and men who are at a vulnerable state in their life. My granny told me many years ago before internet dating. If a man asks you for money run. Ladies don’t be taken in by oh your beautiful/gorgeous. When I hear this it just grinds on me and I feel uncomfortable because I think it’s fake. Meet up with the person ready the body language. Get to get a sense of who the person is. Do not hand over any money ever..

Americans seem to really struggle with any accents outside of America. In the UK, we can recognise what other accents sound like, such as French, German, Australian, Nigerian, Jamaican, Spanish, and of course, American, many that are outside our country. But Americans don't seem to have that ability which means Nigerian doesn't stand out to them like a sore thumb as it does to us. I'm not sure why.

I have to say here, I've been approached by several potential scammers. I asked one to send me money, and he said sure! That's when I blocked him, as I have the other potential scammers. He probably would've sent me some money and then asked me for even more, is my guess by that response. I used to never encounter scammers, but now I delete several emails and block even more on FB every day. There are more cropping up every day of the week. It pays to educate yourself if you're willing to hand money over to a complete stranger. Please, educate yourself if you're going to have romances with men you've never met.

A friend of mine has been divorced for many years. She found a guy on one of the sites and started talking to him. Less then 2 weeks into the "talking" he asked her to send some money to a "daughter" because he couldn't get it to her. She told him how it was, that if you can ask a woman you barely know for money, you're disgusting. I am so proud of her.

The sad thing is that she’s far from rich. I guarantee that was life insurance from her husband dying and/ or their retirement that he made sure to leave for her to live a nice life after he was gone. Then she turns around and 2 months after he died, she was giving it to this scammer.

I had a scammer yesterday on FB who asked me 3 times what my favourite colour was. He asked me if I wanted children, no, did I have children, no, what was my job so that I could feed my children. He was following a script and couldn't cope when I didn't answer the way he wanted. When he asked what my hobby was I said scam baiting - then blocked him.
There’s a difference between ignorance and stupidity. When you use logic and present facts and they still want to pretend in a fantasy, there’s no use in arguing or trying to help. I feel so bad for the daughter
