    Hi guys :)
I hope this video is understandable. I’m not fluent in English by any means! Please mind my accent and imperfect choice of words😂
I thought I would try recording this in English especially this video because I thought it would be easier for you guys (also i got sick of subtitles lol)
This time I demonstrated how I knit. If this works I will film how I purl as well!
If you have any questions please comment down below. I will reply as soon as possible :)
    Thanks for watching!
    Happy knitting♥️

I've seen her purling in other videos and I'm shocked because we have the exact same style in both knitting and purling, and I've never seen anyone else purl like me. What I do is basically treat the right needle as the only active participant and use it to scoop the yarn through. I enter the front loop with my right needle at an almost 90 degree angle to the left needle (the left needle points to my right, and the right is pointing at me if that makes more sense). Then just try to scoop the yarn with the right needle ignoring what your left hand is doing. You'll notice the finger keeping the tension will automatically try to compensate by moving towards you, just let it do its thing, focus on your right needle only.
It's very quick and easy once you get the hang of it. I hope my explanation makes sense!

Checking in after 1 month, if anyone would like to hear. I have worked so hard to get faster at knitting as I discussed in my last comment. In one month, I have improved my speed by leaps and bounds. I am not as fast as Miss Knitting Crew (sorry, I don’t know her name), but I am getting there. What is truly amazing is, this method has worked out not only to be faster, but my tension has improved greatly. I have been working on a half and half wrap by purl soho as a way to knit and knit for long straight lines at a time, plus end up with a project I really wanted. The first side, was slow going and took me at least 3 1/2 weeks - knitting every day. The second side will be done in another couple of days of a total of 5 days. My tension is almost perfect when put up to the light and astonishingly, I have had fewer dropped stitches and errors. As a new knitter, this is so huge. The way Miss Knitting Crew knits is truly amazing. If you want to knit faster, knit with better tension and knit having less errors, I recommend trying this method. It takes a bit to learn and watch the video multiple times (I even had my hubby watch to see if I was doing it right) and I am sure you will find you are a better knitter. If you are a seasoned knitter, I would encourage you to do the same. I don’t think you will have anything but, positive results. Thank you so much Miss Knitting Crew - I would have given up without you. Hugs.

This is almost the same way I taught myself to knit continental style about 20 years ago. Just a slight difference in positioning the left middle finger. I find that having the hands and needles closer together makes such a difference. I would be interested to see how you purl, and hope you will add that and more videos in English. Thank you for this video!

Thank you for caring about the 1%, as I am in the English speaking only camp. I feel like I would be so ungrateful, if I didn’t come and comment on this specific video, “How I knit super fast”. I can’t thank you enough, truly. I am a new knitter and feel like I knit so slow and have been so discouraged. I love knitting, but I have discovered I am a project knitter; I want to knit all the things😂. Anyway, thank you for such a detailed lesson!!! My speed over the course of a few days has more than tripled👏🏻😁. I hope so much you keep the English subtitles in, if you are unable to do videos in English - English videos would be awesome, too. Any tips, favorites, secrets, short cuts, tools videos would be amazing as well😉. Thanks again and again!! Hugs!! Heather

This was super helpful! This was way more helpful than any other video out there, it's the difference between yarn over vs yarn under for me, that's the thing I couldn't understand. You helped me see that when nobody else explained it. I'm going to practice this new method now and see if my speed picks up, thank you so much!

what helped me knittin continental was knitting a norwegian (setesdal/lusekofte) cardigan. It was a two toned jacquard knitted in the right so i would put one thread in each hand (you want to put contrasted thread on top of the background to help it even out, for fair isle you do the opposite to make the pattern more readable) and by the end of the cardigan i would be used to knitting continental (not as much as flicking but now it feels fine enough to switch, i can only do basic knit stich with it, might want to learn purling if i ever feel the need to in the future)
might even sstart parlour knitting if i ever feel like it

I've recently taken up Continental knitting, and even though I'm slowly getting better at it, I'm still struggling with it. Your tips make so much sense, and your knitting is so effortless and fluid! I'm definitely going to try to apply your method to my own knitting, thanks again so much for sharing!

thank you so much for the English!!! I knit so much like you so but the thumb opening up the stitch is amazing. Yes, hard to go slow to learn but I agree in time it will help speed. Still playing with ways to hold the yarn, but we all have different hand structures so that ergonomics here may need to be different as you mention - I'm 5-8" with very have long fingers!

Nice video! I can see that knit stitches can be faster to execute when knitting continental style, - unfortunately the continental purling is difficult and slower than English style. The fastest purling would be Portuguese style!

I’m a flicker, I hold the yarn in my other hand. I have tried this before but my pinky wants to do its own thing and ends up sore. When I learn a technique, I start slow and concentrate on accuracy alone. That’s how I learned to flick. I’m gonna try this again tho. I’ve wondered how else I could hold the yarn and pressing it against the needles seem like a better option. Right now, I can purl twice as fast than knit when holding the yarn on my right hand. When I do colour stranded work, I use both hands.
