I’d love to get to the Palouse someday. I saw a glimpse of a Cat 60 and I think I heard it in the background a couple times. I have mostly Cats but I wanted an IH crawler. I got a T340 a couple years ago and in spring I got a 40s TD9 so that cured that itch. Thanks for posting.
In this video you probably here our D6 in the background.. If you go to our channel "ForsmannClassics" the is a video of two caterpillar 60s plowing. Thanks for watching.
Not entirely sure but most farm cats have the original tracks on them still or maybe one new set. Really depends on the soil conditions they work in or how hard they are pulling.
In the Pacific Northwest on the Palouse the farm county is very steep hills. Crawler tractors were the best way to farm the hills and not slide off or trip over.

Thanks
Drove a TD 14A in the sixties but it had a wooden cab, between the rattle of the cab and the flackery clack of the tracks it was a noisy day
Clackety clack of the tracks
All the cabs on old tractors really do is keep you our of the rain and dust. Still pretty noisy things!
How many hours do u get on the tracks before u change them

Do the 15 and the 14 have the same undercarrige
I think so but not totally sure. I think the difference was in the hp of the engine.
Why are you using crawlers? That rough and Sandy ?

Is this something they do every year? Love to find out more info about it.
Yes. This is the Morgan Plowing Bee. This was the 30th annual.
@@ForsmannClassics any contact info? Couldn’t find much on Google
G'day very cool old iron
Its fun to see old iron still at work.
I was hoping to view old equipment not these modern tractors. Lets see plows that you yank a rope to lower and raise.
There will be some more videos of trip hitch plows coming soon. We are always looking for more plows with trip mechanisms.
@@ForsmannClassics I will keep my opens. I used to plow with a D2 and 3 bottom john deere plow.
