Gibt es eine Solo CD von ihm?
There are several cds of John. Have a look at his homepage: john.goldsby.de
I am impressed. I bow classical bass a lot, like to go blitzkreig on Bach, but jazz really floats my flotilla. I heard that you, John, spent a while delving into the classical world? Y'know, its funny, ah thought I had her , in de palm of my hand.. no, I mean - the trade off... the conflict of going for those Bach spiritual enlightenments.. when I could be practicing my bebop scales... oh, the human condition...
Are you bilingual? Do you teach over there in English or in "jazz"?
I speak German pretty well, but I'm not bilingual in the correct sense of the word. When I speak German, I have a nice, thick Kentucky accent. If I teach a German student, we'll speak German - with most other students English. With some students I just wave my arms a lot. There are a lot of international students in Maastricht where I teach, and English, German and Dutch are the working languages at the school.
Thank you for your reply and for all you do for "passing it on". Keep the music alive!
Thank you, Bruce.
GREAT !!!
Amazing sound! Is that a Bornhak bass?
Hi Jonathan - It's a Jean Auray bass with Gerold Genssler nickel-wrapped gut strings.
@@chop1992 But of course. A french back on a bass from a french builder. Makes sence :) Thank you very much!
When i have time to relax i love to play music.
TODO DICHO.
