Candlemass Nightfall is something else man... Has this classical, ethereal sound even with the really tight production. Savatage Hall of the Mountain King is another freaking masterpiece! I won't mention the obvious ones on this list, but also Overkill Taking Over needs an extra mention: Completely awesome album with some great tunes and that evil vibe all throughout! Lots of good ones in your list!
@@vovindequasahi yeah both the Savatage album and Candlemass are both top 10 albums all time for me , pure masterpieces , and agreed Taking over is incredible easily a top 3 over kill album for me 🤘🏻
@@metalmusicmeltdown Agree 100% bro. Savatage came out so strong with the immortal Sirens and Dungeons Are Calling, then they were persuaded by the record company to become the next Motley Crue or something, which sucked. They said fuck this and went back to being themselves with Hall of the Mountain King and the rest is history. Candlemass has no bad album so no more to say there. Love all three of their vocalists, for different reasons. Overkill found their way with Taking Over, and then Under the Influence and The Years of Decay were both awesome! Then Bobby left, but Horrorscope was fucking awesome as well. Then they fell into the 90's groove metal slouch, before returning to form again.
Here's my list: - Deep Purple - In Rock, - Budgie: Never Turn Your Back on a Friend, - UFO: Phenomenon, - Tygers of Pan Tang: Wild Cat, - Cirith Ungol: Frost and Fire, - Scorpions: Blackout, - Tank: Filth Hounds of Hades, - Witchfinder General: Death Penalty, - Exciter: Heavy Metal Maniac, - Raven: All for One, - Satan: Court in the Act, - Grim Reaper: See You in Hell, - Bathory: Bathory, - Razor: Evil Invaders, - Possesed: Seven Churches, - Slayer: Reign in Blood, - Candlemass: Epicus Doomicus Metallicus, - Anthrax: Among the Living, - Savatage: Hall of the Mountain King, - Death: Scream Bloody Gore.
