Great video, it is incredible what you can do with a garden tractor. I really like your 3pt attachments and the front weight box. It is much easier to get a garden tractor into smaller spaces, great logging
Yes you can!! Great vid! Nice accessories for the tractor. It shows you can do anything you put your to. Great haul of wood. Take care and Haopy Holidays to you and the family! WST
1/17/13 I love Case Ingersoll High Wheel tractors! With the R1 tires and a ballast as you have, they have immense torque, traction and pulling power. I hope I can get my hands on an older garden tractor not made out of tin foil, as the one of these days are. I'll have to wait until the spring begins, to whip back out of storage our good-ole Ariens LT. Stay safe out there, GP
Man yeah!!! It did amazing!! I was quite surprised actually!! Awesome saw work as well!! Behind in times, but never seen the handheld log tongs🤔🤔 Got my curiosity up now!! Awesome video, hope we get to see that red maple split soon! Thank you for bringing us along!!😁😁👍
I’m wondering about getting a 446 for towing my tow behind man hydraulic lift behind. Doesn’t have 3 pt hitch but has 2” ball. Weighs 3200ibs 250 tongue weight
I welded up an A frame for the 3 point of my '77 John Deere 300; welded a chain grab hook to b the top of the A frame. Chokered a section of a large bur oak trunk, then pulled my chain to the hook as tight as i could with the 3 point down, then raised the 3 point and went. I didn't think my little garden tractor would budge it, but wasn't pleasantly surprised when it skidded the tree rather easily..
Hey Case! I gotta admit I was wondering but after you put 9 big rounds into that carryall I was impressed. What's the HP on that one? Wow, I'm actually amazed. Thanks for sharing! :)
It can be done, however, show respect for the tractor to. In other words, if your going to pull logs with your tractor, cut them down half the size of the tree your pulling, and only small demotions of the size of the tree or log your going to pull. Go easy on the equipment, and it will last you a lot longer.
Probably! You could do it with an old style Tote Goat to ! They were possibly a two wheel drive low profile motorcycle with tractor tires for dragging deer and elk out of the woods. Holy crap that thing is loud. Please adjust the idle on that thing. Just remember not to flip the tractor backwards!!! That's why that setup is called a Widowmaker! In fact I had a girlfriend back in the '80s who watched her father die that way!!!
I have an old Cub Cadet. First I thought it was a garden tractor but now I think it is a lawn mower tractor. How can I know what it is? I don't want to use a lawn tractor to skid logs.
I believe mine are 12”. 18” would be too big for one handed use imo. I can grab rounds bigger than 12” diameter with mine, but they aren’t cumbersome in the brush lands

Nicely done my friend! Love it! Great video!

I log with an old lawn tractor . I will be putting up a video this weekend . I can’t afford a tractor so I make do with what I have . Great video !!!
Thanks Del. They are little workhorses for sure!
@@BuildALotAcres isn't a lawn tractor different from a garden tractor?

That’s a great carryall on the back of the tractor. Great video. Lots of fun, getting exercise and work done. A good day.
Absolutely. Thanks for the comment sir!
The garden tractor got it done, good job.
Thanks Joey. Have a great Christmas
I also use a Case for my woodlot, I dont have a fancy log winch like you though. I like your design. Great video!
Thank you sir. Appreciate you watching and commenting
And yes, garden tractors can do woods work for sure.
Yes they sure can. Thanks again.
That's some big work for a little tractor. I like it!
Yes sir. Thanks Logan

I agree with your sentiments GP. The older garden tractors were built to be passed down generations. You won’t get disappointed once you get one.

Thank you 🙏 I love the log tongs, super handy. These little tractors are pretty capable.

Nice haul with the little tractor. I like that weight box that was pretty neat. Nice video take care , Ben.
Thank you Ben. It works pretty well
Now it’s time to bust out the Supersplit.
In a video coming soon ;)
Great video, guys. I use my
JD 332 for log and firewood duty. It does really well. I’m in Connecticut too. 👍🏻🇺🇸
Nice video Most people don't realize most garden tractors have more hp than the average farm tractor of the sixties.
Yes sir. It was all about torque and getting that power to the ground.

I have a 1963 953 wheel horse that also does good skidding big logs. Good little machines.
The old Wheelhorses are definitely tough little units

@@BuildALotAcres My Cub Cadet has a 19HP Kohler, but I don't know if it would actually perform as well.
@@PaleHorseOutdoors The key is traction and torque. The hi wheel case garden tractors have an abundance of both. The rear tires are about 31-32” tall

You could load logs on the front of your tractor to hold the front end down and to haul more logs.
Excuse me. It is not a Cub Cadet. It is a yellow and white Montgomery Wards.
I'll have to do a tractor Tuesday on differences between a lawn tractor, yard tractor and garden tractor.
