    Im being tested for autoimmune gastritis. I was just diagnosed with chronic gastritis no h-pylori present. All my symtoms point to low acid.

      Same here I was diagnosed with chronic gastritis but I have so much sibo candida it seems like my acid output is getting no where consequently the lower gut gets compromised with overgrowth. There goes your overall immune system.

      This problem is curable with natural herbs and changes in diet. I also have this condition for over 8 years, and recently i came to know that the atrophy of the stomach is due to dryness & coldness of the stomach caused by our dietary habits, too much acidic foods, and some medications. The treatment is to cut the foods that are sour, dry & cold in temperament, and follow a strict diet with foods that help regrow and repair the stomach lining. Goat meats, olive oil, dates, dry fruits (walnuts and pine nuts), cow ghee, camel, and goat's milk are important to reverse the atrophy.

      @@CodyDeein the alternative world they would get you to drink raw cabbage juice every day for about two weeks
      You need to do it fresh daily and you need to peel the cabbage like a lettuce. Do not cut it as it looses alot of its nutrients once cut.

      I was diagnosed with chronic gastritis no h-pylori present in the end of May this year. Luckily my Vit 12 and iron was good. Doc. said no cure for it and I should repeat endoscopy every 3 years. I lost 15 pounds. My friend advised me to take Betaine HCL (1) capsule two times daily with food. After 3 weeks I noticed I feel better and gain 2 pounds. But I have to be very careful what I am eating. I think the below response from Master Yoda may help. Hope you feel better now.

    Dr. J.
    I have so many problems including liver heart and stomach disease. I do not have h. pylori but i have had chronic gastritis for over 20 years from stress and all sorts of other problems. last scope i had showed pan gastritis, low grade esophagitis and a couple small ulcers. I bought some l-histidine but if it stimulates acid production is it not safe for gastritis if not auto immune? i have tried betaine hydrochloride and it also irritates my stomach. in fact my stomach is very sick and most things irritate my stomach cause i have way too much bacteria in my gut due to severe low motility or the lining is weak. My liver and gallbladder are diseased and i think thats why the stomach is so bad as i have had liver disease since i started to have gastritis. I just dont want to make the ulcers worse cause i perforated one in 2003 and almost died from sepsis. That is why everything has been inflammed and diseased for so long. Any advice would be appreciated and im aware doctors dont like to give advice online that could harm someone on accident. I am just not sure where to turn to treat this as i dont think i have too much acid as i dont ever get heartburn at all anymore so i probably have too little or bile reflux. Slippery elm, mastic, aloe vera juice i tried so many things i have no idea what to do. Any advice appreciated. Would pantoprazole be ok to take with histidine or i know it counteracts acid so its opposite.

      Hey Cody, don’t know this is the answer you’re looking for but I read your comment and wanted to help in at least some way: I would look into the McDougall Diet for you, he has lots of lectures on YT. It might help you, it helped me a lot. Its a diet that works for people with maldigestion and low stomach acid, it is a VERY easy to digest diet, good for the gut, liver, etc. lmk what you think

      Know raw cabbage juice cures Helicobacter pylori
      Bacteria but you need to juice it daily. You can't cut it you need to peel it like lettuce. I to have terrible tummy can't bring myself to drink cabbage juice it's so 🤮 I tryed mastic gum and slippy elm. Just start cabbage Sauerkraut Make sure if you get some to try get the one in fridge as one on shelf. Has none of the benifical microbes as it been boiled and that kills the benifits

    Wow, I have gastritis and I have never heard of this version in all our communities. This form the body is attacking itself? And Vitamin-B12 and L-Histidine helps in this?
    How does one know if they have this version of Gastritis (atrophic) vs a traditional form, from H. Pylori and other factors?

      I have this condition. It's called autoimmune metaplastic atrophic gastritis. I have positive intrinsic factor antibodies and positive parietal cell antibodies.

    • @TM-kb7po
      @TM-kb7po 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      ScarlettDuchess I just found I may have atrophic gastritis and am waiting on biopsies. What are the two antibodies you are positive for and is that good or bad? Does this condition lead to cancer and if so how often? I’m worried. Wishing you all the best!

    • @ScarlettDuchess
      @ScarlettDuchess 5 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      @@TM-kb7po Thanks. 😊 There is a 3% risk of stomach cancer, so I've read, so risk is very low thankfully. Intrinsic factor is needed for vitamin B12 absorption. Parietal cells in the stomach pump out stomach acid and intrinsic factor.
      So in my case I have antibodies attacking my intrinsic factor and parietal cells. I cannot absorb vitamin B12. I had severe B12 deficiency. Others with this autoimmune disease may have iron deficiency because of the low stomach acid from the attack on the parietal cells.
      Interestingly, I do not have notably low stomach acid with this autoimmune disease. If I did I would start taking betaine HCL to increase stomach acid.
