    Great video like usual. I went to go check the blog post though and all the way at the bottom right before the comments section there was a video embedded. I assume it was supposed to be one of your videos but instead it was a “Lemon Garlic Salad” video. If it helps with troubleshooting, I’m using the TH-cam app on a IPhone 11 Pro running IOS 13.4.1

    I'm about to set up my first planted 55gal. Thanks for the tip on the lava rock filled bags. I'm planning on documenting the process so I can get roasted when i upload it lol

    And if your tank is small instead of a clamp use a binder clip.

    Fish store in town said not to worry about chlorine unless you smell it. He was filling his tanks out of the tap. He also said the chlorine kept the parasites and algae down. I Thought it was odd.
    I have spring fed water, this stuff is like liquid rock. Although the ph is 7.5-8 I'm getting baby x-ray tetra seem to be happy enough to reproduce. The algae though.

    Weak cheap clamps work perfectly fine if your tank has a lip on it.

    Never even thought about using a syringe 🤯

    • @ChaosBW
      @ChaosBW 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I wonder if you could syringe inject algae killer into substrate to target the source?
      Try it in a test area ofc not your whole tank.

      Meme Machine yes or even set up a test tank with no livestock

    Great video Mike! The Ultra Life product in the background is one of my favourite products. It works amazing compared to other brands that advertise to remove cyano. But alot of them do not even work! Keep up the good videos fellow fishlover. 🎩👊

    Those API glass tubes are EASY to get the level right. Overfill it and then just give it a gentle shake to "fling" a little water out of it. Way easier than trying to pour out that "little bit"

    Guys, if you're gonna build up some height with rocks or lava stones on the bottom, always put a big enough layer of actual soil/substrate on top!!!
    I didn't think of this and it was terrible to plant into! Couldn't get the stem of my plant clippings deep enough and would always bump the rock with my tweezer... so the plants floated back up.

    Weak cheap clamps work fine if you use two of them with some space in-between. It gives the clamps leverage to resist the overturning moment from the hose.

    I prefer using a hanger made of pvc with a barb fitting to a vinyl hose and a strainer on the end of the pvc. You can make it any size and length, use it to drain very quickly, and then I have a 6 foot section of garden hose outside that's also adapted to a barb fitting that plugs into the vinyl hose for refill.

    Hello, I own 16 containers filled with aquatic plants, fishes and floating plants. I have no Heater and filter for all these containers. I let nature take over my aquariums but I do cover my containers at night to not let pests damage my plants. These are my cheapest way to owning/ breeding fishes! I only feed my container fish once every 2 days because they also find other food like mosquito larvae and more other bugs. Note they also eat algae. Also refill water if the container water drop down 4 inches.

    I had my hubby make me a wood block holder for my test tubes. He just drilled the holes the size of the tubes and it makes it very easy to stand up the testing tubes. Also, I had an old syringe here that was used for meds a long time ago. I cleaned it up really well and use the measurements on it to fill my test tubes.
