The more I see of Loblolly House the more impressive the depth of detail and beauty become. Like the fine masterpiece it describes, the film is richly layered and perfectly suited to it's task. I have been looking for a house to use for ideas for a while and this is my mother's style. She was more ship and male in design then I am and so it isn't natural for me but I go well with the Asian styles also but this is just so beautiful. I love the setting also. I have sent it to my friends. Lovely rich in look and feel and just the warmth of everything it makes a nice home to come home to. Unlike some houses this is a Home. Grace

I stand corrected! To be precise, it is 1.61803398875. 1.63 is an error of 0.739%. I’m not sure that I could see the difference but Mother Nature knows!!

I just turned 76, and been a carpenter-contractor for 56+ yrs. I was astonished to see the "lead carpenter" using a rip claw hammer @ 11:50 on a finished Timber. Unbelievable!
I'd have fired him on the spot, taking him to one side to explain why. Now "Imagine" if the client had walked in and saw what was going on....
Simply unbelievable.

That is just complete and total BS, or maybe it's west coast crap. I have been in the trades for decades and just about every finish carpenter I know uses a straight claw hammer myself included, and we do high end work. And I don't know of a client that would even know the difference....

as a carpenter at 61 years of age with 45 years experience and the last 30 years as a " lead carpenter " have led homes from $10 to $ 15 million from beginning to final gold screws in hardware install . I use a strait claw 220z. Estwing I purchased in 1988 . iv'e never damaged anything nor had to replace any wood damaged by my most trusted tool . I think it's called control sir . and yes I have led , completed and still maintain a Greene &Greene style from 20 years ago . I have never heard my grandpa nor my father ever call out for a " RIP CLAW HAMMER " must be a Canadian thing ?

As a carpenter in reality when you damage something if no one noticed I don’t bother saying anything it just makes the owner upset.

If a shoe fits wear it......also....if it doest work hit it with a hammer....and if that don't work get a bigger hammer......just make sure if it's soft you use a smooth face .....forget about the claw until it comes time to pull nails
