always so nice seeing running under the wire. you do a great job adapting items to your use. thank you for sharing your time and education about your catenary system!
i would absolutely LOVE working here, i love railroading, especially miniature gauge railroading. Id take a locomotive out into the middle of nowhere, set up camp for the night and spend the night next to the rails.
Quite an array of rolling stock but all with a job (or two) to do to earn their keep. What amazes me is how good a condition they are all in considering a lot of it is out in all weather, and the fact that your weather can be quite extreme. Thanks for the video, as usual I really enjoyed it.
Yeah I wish I had a big enough barn to keep everything inside but at this time its not possible. Anything that is all steel and has no electrical components must live outside.
The small yellow one is called an open car, it was originally a 15" gauge and was re-gauged to 24". The birney does get out from time to time, in fact just last week I took it for a nice high speed ride. Next year I plan on doing more videos of the equipment operating as its been a while since I have taken some of those.
Great video of your non-powered cars and equipment. I would love to give you a hand with the crane car. I love smaller gauge railroad systems. How long do you use volunteers? I would have my own truck and most of my tools. I'm just trying to see what help you need. Where are you located? I live in Gainesville Fl.
As someone who's in the process of adding Harp switch stands to a model railroad layout I have to say I really like the look of your real ones. How well do they work? You mentioned making frogs so I assume your switches as a whole are handmade.
The harp stands work great, they are easy to make and very functional. All the switches are handmade, while there are cast frogs available for this gauge they tend to be hard to find and expensive so I just make everything on site. More fun that way too :)
@@CNW4145 wow, I’ve watched a couple more videos of yours and it looks amazing! Must be nice to have a little inter urban. I guess it’s a good design if nobody has gotten cooked.
@@CNW4145Track expansion is the best thing that can happen on a railroad! There is a diamond on our tram line and I always like to drive my tram through it! We are looking forward to your new videos.
That welder that gets power from the overhead is super cool. Nice seeing the equipment that keeps your railroad running!
Its an oldie but a goodie. Thats the beauty of simplicity, it just lasts forever.
Great information on all the rolling stock! You have some quite unique wagons there. Fun to see it all.
There are quite some contraptions indeed!
Always a nice watch to see the work that has been done on the tramway, very creative!
Warm greetings from The Netherlands!
Thank you, hope all is well over there after the big storm that you just had. It did not look good!

Such a variety of old and unique cars, neat seeing all those brick carts scattered around with all their uses

A night ride is a good time for sure, can be a bit scary!
Amazing! I am always impressed with your ingenuity and productivity. Thanks for the history about and look at your rolling stock.
Wow! The RRVT has a lot of rolling stock!! Ingenious construction of them.
What a fantastic thing.

Glad to see the upload!
Thanks for posting!!!
I'm surprised there no passenger trailers, amazing to see all the regular stock!
great video! 2 questions though, 1, what is the little yellow tram in the depot, 2, why dont you use the birney much?

The operation is in northern IL so its a bit far away but thanks for the offer! Ill get to that car one of these days!
That original pole car is just a glorified skateboard! 🤣 Great video as always!
Hahaha you are right, never saw the resemblance until you mentioned it!
Nice .

Does the overhead cantenary work very well? Have you had any “incidents” with the high voltage?
Catenary works great, and in 75 years of operation not one person has been fried so I guess the answer is no to the incidents lol

Очень интересно и познавательно!
12:13 How long do you think it'll be before the river takes it?
Its one really good flood away from becoming a boat lol
Greetings from the 300mm (12 in) tram system! What are your plans for using the diamond?
I am hoping to get some more rail and do a fairly large expansion. As part of this expansion, the diamond will be utilized.

I have a question about the motive power of the RRVT. Does the Birney still operate? If not, what happened to it?
It still operates, in need of some repairs but still fully functional. I'll be making some videos with it in the coming year :)
Where are you located again,?
Traction lives we won't tell STD OIL or gm.
Yes please don't tell them, I don't need a guy in suit showing up with a big check in hand to shut me down lol
