I was student here in Raslätt back in 2003 with the same view on the football field, shopping at Willys and eating kebap pizzas downtown with friends. Glad to see everything is still there ! Still the same, except that students have now more toys: internet in the flats, the gym has been added, as well as the air-hockey, ping-pong, and table soccer in Sockertoppen. We only had the pool table and we were damn good at it, as it was the main activity there. The new sofa in Sockertoppen looks less comfy though. The big security warning at the entrance is also new. True we had external guests back then, but it added some underground feeling to the Sockertoppen party nights and it was just cool, sometimes with old swedish tuned volvos showing late night on the parkings, ready to bring a few lucky ones the night clubs. Good memories living in Raslätt with my fellow "stairhost section 92" flatmates gangstas, proudly showing all our empty alcohol bottles in our kitchen to welcome our guests. That was a tradition at this time. Since we had no facebook, no insta, no youtube and no social media in general, we did as many parties as we could, sometimes 3 or 4 times a week to have fun & improve our game at seducing other student women (spoiler: high failure rate but a very few successes which ended in married couples still existing today). There was also some implicit contest between Raslätt and other student areas (mostly Gräshagen) to see who would throw the most memorable parties. Damn, time flies so fast... I miss those days. The bike shown in this video has probably been sold back to each new generation of students since the 80s.
Amazing to hear that and I have to say not much has changed from the „old“ Raslätt vibe and the parties there are still legendary
@@vicntomexplore5346 Awesome ! Keep it up guys
I got admission in jonkoping this year. So, i would like to take accommodation here. Anyone please help me how to book here
As a side note, that area is considered to be an area which is troubled place with high criminal rates and car fire. My MIL lived there for a couple of years, she and her friends used to sit in the green areas and have coffee together. Mostly chatting with the "troubled" youth.
I lived in one of the apartments 90-96 in 2006-2007. The rent has not gone skyrocketed as well, only 1050 Seks increase in 17 years is not much actually. Best time in my life, have had fun with international colleagues. Best of luck with your studies, enjoy and yes Raslatt is very good accommodation.
Great Explanation and Presentation Elina :)
Nice presentation.Everything looks so neat and tidy.More than an accommodation, it is coupled with natural beauty and freshness
Thank you so much! Yes neighbors definitely become family there and the nature around is stunning
Hey, great video! I loved it!
I’d like to know about the rooms, do we share them or we have individual rooms, and a shared kitchen? Can I have my bike in the room, to use it? Is it safe to go to university and lock it outside?
Thank yooou 😊
Hey, thank you so much, you have your own big room, sometimes even with a private balcony. The kitchen you have to share with 2 other flatmates usually
Hi, me and a friend of mine are thinking of getting there, but first I'd like to know a thing, if I write an email to the school or when I get to contact to school can I ask them to give me and her a dorm togheter? It would help us a lot cause we are from Italy and being in another country could be difficult for us.
As far as I know it’s random, but you can try to recommend that and it’s best to message the landlord right away instead of the school.
You can find all information through the link in the description
Råslätt is good I like that ppl think it is an university when it is a city with almost no students
Thanks for the info, is the gym crowded ? Is it for all buildings or each building has its gym and space ?
This gym is for all buildings, but usually there are max 1-2 people, since it is quite small and really only has the basic equipment. If you plan on going to a „proper“ gym, I can recommend Nordic wellness, where you can also have a free trial week
good tour :)
Thank you so much!
Gränna next maybe please?😊
Hello. I can't find accommodation in Jönköping and I'm desperate. Could you give me some guidance or information to achieve something?
Hi, I'm moving to Jönköping as soon as I find an apartment. Is Råslätt really that troubled or are the rumors exaggerated?
To be honest Raslätt is not that bad, there are definitely better areas, but everyone I know who lived there had a good time too and felt safe
@@vicntomexplore5346 Ok thank you for letting me know!
Hi, is there a volleybalteam at the university??
Hey, yes there is! The Uni offers many different sports
Jag hade

Sorry we also don’t know, the tile can vary for each case, it’s probably best to contact them directly
How much does it cost for laundry room
It’s included in the rent, so you can use it for free
As you mentioned, if I pay every month I will get 2 months free.
So how many months do I need to pay for get 2 months free .
(I plan to exchange there for 5-6 months)
@@kessarapornbualakorn8637 it is only the case if you keep your apartment during the summer, so you would at least need to stay for 1 year. But if you are looking for a cheap apartment, Raslätt is the way to go
@@Tomas-dw6uk Thank you for your kindness information.
Hello, how is the transportation to the university? How much are student bus tickets?
A monthly student bus ticket cost about 540kr or about 50€
Bike porn was sick haha🔥
Looks like a parody of fast and furious to me
