Excellent shots and video as usual Mads. Brought back some memories for me. Travelled from Scotland to Berchtesgaden on a school trip for 9 days back in 1995. Pity I wasn't a photographer back then. Hopefully visit again some time.
Hey Mads, as always a nice vlog to watch. What an incredibly beautiful scenery. I can imagine you had a great time spending their. Your photos are absolutely beautiful, they look almost like paintings.
like you said Königsee location is hard to describe...we were there two springs ago and have probably walked the same paths..we did not have time or a great day for sightseeing much rain but none the less deep memories made there...Im liking that you improvised with the gear you had don't we all...I can still hear the bugle horn playing from the ferry ride there..Obersee and Hintersee are on my list for the next visit...thank you again for your amazing images that inspire and delight all the senses ...
Great video mate. We are planning on doing a trip from Switzerland to Czech Republic next year and quick look at google maps reveals that Berchtesgaden is very close to the Austrian border. Berchtesgaden added to the list :). Thanks for sharing yet again mate.
Hey Mads, Another gr8 vid mate. The little house at 6.15. You have treated this to perfection where it is difficult to ascertain where the reflected roof line on the right begins and where the mountai reflection starts. Its almost like one continuous line! Regards Ewan
Epic pictures !!! Enjoyed this video and yes some photographers are way to serious. They gonna get wrinkles and these don't smooth out after 30 seconds :)
Beautiful photos, Mads. Though I will most likely never visit these beautiful lakes, I enjoyed listening to all the information you provided about them. I very much enjoy watching your videos. Thank you for posting this thoughtful and inspirational content.
Hi 👋🏽 thanks for the video! I have had intense dreams about a place that looks like this. It’s just one of those dreamy idillic places in the world to hopefully visit one day🙂
Your landscape photography is phenomenal, Mads, and I really enjoy coming along for your trips in these videos. Thank you for sharing! I laughed when you described the angry wave-haters at the lake; I can imagine how tense they get in a crowd. 😂
Christian Hammer Nielsen they were annoying to themselves and us. Heck, I wasn't even allowed to remove some leafs in the water, while they were standing with their hands in their pockets 🧐
From the opening title and music score you can't help feel the goosebumps Mads as this means one thing....an epic vlog is about to unfold. The quality of your video is superb and the images from this episode really made the hairs on the back of my neck stand up such was the beauty of the scenery. You really make Tuesday's great with these magnificent episodes
What amazing location Mads. We are spoiled by wonderful scenery here in the UK so it can be easy for us not to look beyond our own shores; your videos open our eyes to a whole world of possibilities.
Just wow Mads another great vlog full of dramatic music and great images, that boat house with the shadow reflection is an awesome shot and comp.. Your Europe series is quickly becoming my visit list for the next time I'm in the alps.. :)
Perfect timing Mads. I had just made myself an espresso which I have just enjoyed while watching another beautifully crafted video. That image of the trees on the island with the pink sky was awesome. :-)
Hey Mads, wow, Hintersee morning sunrise shot, outstanding! Literally my jaw dropped when the image transitioned in with that morning light and composition. one of your best images in recent vlogs! - Wishing you the best, and cant wait for Hallstatt. Regards Geoff
I had spent 3 days hiking around Berchtesgaden. It enabled me to get to Obersee around sunrise with the mist and good lighting, and no tourists around. There's also a secret ice cave near St Bartholomew worth checking out. Lastly, there's an interesting switchback trail leading up to Karlingerhaus. Unfortunately I was a hiker without photo equipment :( so will have to go back soon to capture those moments!
Excellent and thank you for what you do. I especially enjoyed your description of composition when photographing hintersee area. I'd love to see some more of your thoughts on composition. I've researched dynamic symmetry and gestalt psychology (thanks for the tips) and am trying to apply them to my own photography, as well as see them in others. Anything you can do in terms of compositional education, for me at least, would be very much appreciated.
Thanks Mads! I‘m from Germany. So now I am prepared for that trip I wanted to go 2 months ago. 🤗 And those pictures you‘ve taken there were very beautiful!!
Hey Mads, thank you for another great video. Loved one of the last pictures, in horizontal. I'm still struggling with verticality used in landscape, but it's just me ;) I hope you didn't take too much heat, when taking those shots. Some photographers can be quite grumpy! (even with no reason to it)
Hello Peter, this is my 1st-time watching footage of yours. It is very enjoyable to watch! It catches me immediately! I'm going to visit this area in the summer...maybe you could tell how much it takes to from taking the boat in Königssee , having an enjoyable trip around Obersee and back to starting point...?
Great video as always Mads! Just wondering what a trip to this place can go for? If you need to hire a car and food an all that but maybe living in a tent. I'm worried this would cost me a fortune but it just looks to beautiful not to visit! i'm also wondering if you have any editing tutorials where you teach how to get that wonderful glow that you have in you photos, would love to learn that! Thank you and greetings from Sweden! :)
Amazing video again man. You should come to my country of Sweden, and visit Sarek national park. It requires a lot of hiking and knowledge of the wilderness but you wont be surrounded by tourists everywhere :D

This video is beautiful
Nice work! 👍 Too bad it seems you missed the “Ramsau” bei Bertchesgaden church view - also classic.
bwvids we drove past it and was aware of it. We just prioritized other locations, since we didn't really find that one to be that special ;)
You're very welcome and thanks a lot! I have another video on composition coming soon :)

Westenberger Stephan Vielen Dank Stephan 🙏🏻 Jetzt hab ich noch ein paar Locations die ich abklappern kann!!
Tom thank you very much and you're welcome 😊

Awesome
Hi Mads, could you make a video about taking tack sharp photos? your photos are so sharp and the reflection photo is really smooth
I would love to see these images, particularly the one at 6:26 in black and white !
Emma Rose Photography would be very interesting. I rarely convert to B&W though 🤔
Xephoze thanks a lot. The "glow" is called an Orton effect. Just check it here on TH-cam. I don't think it has to be that expensive :)
Amazing video again man. You should come to my country of Sweden, and visit Sarek national park. It requires a lot of hiking and knowledge of the wilderness but you wont be surrounded by tourists everywhere :D
Lindstenfoto that sounds like a fantastic idea. Do the forests go all yellow and orange in the fall?
Yea man, google sarek national park, and add the word "fall" if you want to see those images :)
