Wow, I just fixed the blinds myself. While was waiting for my husband to come to help, I watched this video and just did it! Thank you so much! I had a slightly different problem, the string was moving, but the blinds were not turning. And upon trying to stick my fingers in there, I figured that the mechanism itself was functional. But I was scared to take them off since I had no idea how to do it. This video showed how to disassemble, so I did that easily. And then figured that the rod, that connects and moves all three "wheels" came out of the very first one, that actually moves them all. So I just pushed it back and voila - it works. The whole thing took about 3 minutes. Thank you again for your video!
Similar problem...only the blinds turned partially one way but not the other...only then pulling the top blind up against the rail ...took it down and everything seemed ok compared to an identical blind that works...the string inside the wheel was at a minimum...likely causing the lack of movement...so I tried rolling some string back...but the problem still exists.
