Saw it Saturday someone said they thought it was better than longlegs but I disagree I enjoyed both but one was very predictable once I mentioned a michelle phieffer movie she realized I figured it out
I preferred Oddity over Longlegs as well. Both are good movies, but Longlegs had a couple glaring issues to me that prevented it from being great.
Don’t despair, ODDITY will be on the SHUDDER streaming network as soon as its theatrical run is over.

Thanks for the rec. I saw Longlegs, but this one was lost in the hype surrounding the former.
Caveat was very strange and had a very eerie vibe. The vibe is similar to Oddity, but Oddity was more evolved in its premise & horror. That being said, tells me the director is getting better with his craft.
I saw and enjoyed both. There were three times in Oddity that scared/startled me! Hope more people hear about and go see it!

I saw Oddity and Long Legs back to back ( I did a double feature at the cinema). ODDITY hands down was excellent. It scared me far more than Long Legs. Long Legs was okay, but Oddity was far more scarier and better.
I remember one reviewer who said it's pretty clear that this film and Caveat take place within the same Universe.

Long legs is going to be a cult classic, a thinking mans horror, with Cage's best performance of his career. Probably my favourite so far and although this year has had a lot of horror movies most of them have been disappointing. Oddity has no UK cinema release that I can see so I will have to find it online, which sucks .

Oddity was better than longlegs.
both were rather terrible. longlegs at least had the better technique and maika's acting going on for it and the first two acts were actually quite good. oddity was pretty ridiculous throughout, but at least it does not build up your hope in the first two acts and then falls apart in the third. the question is whats worse? being consistently mediocre or being great at least at the start and then completely fold?
i gotta give the maker(s) of oddity two things though.
1. that final shot was hella funny
2. admittedly i also miss smashing pumpkins "ava adore" era d'arcy wretzky, but basing a character on that look and having the balls to also calling that caracter d'arcy is a level of dedication that is kinda admirable. ;)
I truly liked Longlegs better. They are two very different films however. I gave Longlegs 6.5 out of 10 and

Both decent enough but nothing special. Im waiting for the new aliens movie!

I saw long legs and was a little let down by the film. I’m going to watch oddity but I won’t rush to the theater like I did last weekend
@@MIchelle4reel that was my feeling too. It wasn’t bad, just not what I was hoping for
Don’t be discouraged, ODDITY will not disappoint. Long Legs did not live up to all the hype and all the superlatives that were heaped on it.

@@MIchelle4reel I do recommend this movie! When a movie causes me to have chills going up and down my spine, I know it is truly scary. Not many so “called” horror movies evoke that type of visceral response in me, but when they do, I know its good. By all means go and see it, let us know what you think.
Long legs let me down big time. Can’t wait to watch this!
