I have to agree. It was a good and beautiful movie, but it’s not something I would rewatch like that.

I’m really finding that when people are criticizing this movie and talking about the pace of the movie is just trash, many things you could have had constructive criticisms, but the pacing was fine, movies can be long, stop with this ticktock pace!

I saw it last night. I thought it was ok, but it felt too much like it was trying to be Bram Stokers Dracula. Nosferatu wasn't an awful movie and had some good horrifying moments, but it was a miss for me honestly.

LOL the What We Do in the Shadows comparison!!! spot on! We felt the same way... technically good, but slow and never really got "going"

haha as soon as it started, I was like, "the vibes are off, this doesn't seem good." I am glad it's still good, but I can feel the disappointment that it's not great. I'm not sure yet when I'll get to see it, but I'll report back. I look forward to hearing whether or not you do a second viewing.

It will really all depends on what you like in horror. If you like each scene making you feel like you are in the film you'll love it if not yoy may not. But I think I am gonna love this movie.

I would love it if you revisited your most anticipated of 2024 to look back and see how they went, it would be fun! I haven't looked at the movies coming out next year so this list is my introduction to a few of these. Definitely the poster for The Ritual immediately sold me on it, I'm there, I'll watch whatever Dan Stevens is up to.

I really liked this trailer. It got me interested in watching 28 Years Later. I don't remember 28 Days Later so I need to rewatch it. I heard they were finally bringing 28 Days Later back to streaming.

I haven't seen the other films in the franchise, so not knowing anything about it, I think this was a pretty good trailer but also just kind of a generic zombie movie (though they used the recording of Boots to very good effect). I might have to wait and see another trailer before I decide whether I'll go back and watch the first two.

I’m excited for this. Saw the first and second movies and was a huge fan!

I heard about this over a year ago when it was called “P” island (name got changed), and wanted to see it ever since. I ended up going alone when it opened in theaters and loved it so much I now own it. I missed the trigger warning at the beginning and didn’t watch any trailers so I was completely surprised by this one. A lot of people I know felt the subject matter was “too much” but as someone who can relate heavily to some of the darker themes I loved the twist at the end and can’t wait to see what else Zoe Kravitz has in store

I liked that there was a trigger warning at the beginning of the movie. The SA scenes were not explicit as I thought they would be which I appreciated. I was initially uncertain about how I felt about the ending but after processing it, I liked the direction they went. I didn't love the movie but I think it was a solid directorial debut for Zoe.
